Ever since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the western public has been carpet bombed with the claim that Russian president Vladimir Putin is some sort of unhinged madman. This notion is being feverishly spread by the establishment and those in its pay: the political class, the media and the commentariat, career diplomats and technocrats as well as those connected to the security and intelligence communities.
The most remarkable thing about the Mad Vlad claim is that it is obviously false.
Whatever Vladimir Putin may be, he is certainly no irrational madman.

Soros is backing Ukraine. So are the media and rest of the one world government types. That alone makes me very skeptical of the narrative. When I am being manipulated into supporting a side by people I know to be evil, it aint happening. That goes double when they have been bribing the Bidens, the Clintons, the Pelosis and the Romneys with total impunity for decades.
Sure, Putin and Russia are evil too. They are responsible for untold millions of deaths in the last hundred years, and they haven't changed. So I dont support anyone in this. Let em kill each other and buy the oil off the winner.

Putin is doing what he has been saying all along since he gained power. He will not allow NATO to border his country. Putin is KGB. He is smart and ruthless, yes, smart and ruthless, almost paralleling the famous Russian Czars, Ivan, Catherine. He has to be to retain control. He controls his own Politburo. Do not under estimate him by saying he is insane. He is Soviet KGB. He thinks like a Soviet. He is a Soviet. He means what he says.

I have no ability to know if Putin is a madman or not, and those making statements either way are just speculating unless they have concrete evidence to support their comments. All we have to go on are his previous actions. However, that does not take into consideration any mental deficiencies that may have arisen because of his advancing age or a possible physical condition. There have been reports of troubling changes in his personality. Who knows if they are right or wrong?
This invasion is very disturbing and makes many of us remember how Hitler proceeded in his quest to conquer Europe. While he succeeded, in retrospect we know just how mentally unfit he was. It doesn’t take a mentally competent person to wage war.
It seems to me that all we can do is react to his actions. We do not have the luxury of trying to analyze his motives or mental acuity at this time. Things are moving way too fast. This is where a smart, levelheaded leader is needed to make the right decisions on how to deal with someone driven to wage war on a peaceful country. For me, this is more important than trying to analyze Putin’s every move. We need someone with America’s best interests as their motivating factor when making decisions on how to deal with this present situation and sadly, we are sorely lacking that. I have no confidence in Biden or his cabal to deal with this situation without making it worse. You all can worry about Putin, my biggest worry is Joe Biden.

The incompetent, and mentally challenged is in our WH and at our State Dept. The leftists kept pushing Putin, and now he has answered. The WH has made huge mistakes shutting down American oil and gas production, pushing their NGO's into Ukraine to stab Putin in the eye, and now an act of stupidity unsurpassed. That would be shutting anybody off from SWIFT, when you are the reserve currency of the world, and $30 Trillion in debt.

Poking at the Bear by Globalist NWO NATO may get an answer to their stated goals and stumble to the demise of ALL on the planet! If they are not squirming about and being uncomfortable it may just be a little to late! Poke at the Bear can get you killed!

The media is painting Putin as a "madman." But what is Biden's position on the matter?
Biden says we are not at risk for a nuclear attack. Wouldn't a "madman" be more inclined to launch a nuclear war? So when Biden says we are not at risk for a nuclear attack, is he tacitly admitting Putin is NOT a "madman?"
Which one is it?

It was madness to start a war over something that was not an immediate threat. A cunning man would have gotten his way without starting a war. From here he looks like a madman.

Russia and Ukraine have a long and ugly history with a ton of baggage. As such there really is no good vs. evil in this fight, both sides wear black hats. After the mountain of lies about Clinton, "W", Obama, Trump, Jan. 6 and Covid, I'm damned sure not eating what the old media bastids are feeding me now.

Putin doesnt want a Nato Ukraine on Russias border so he wants the Ukraine to be part of Russia. The fact that Ukraine is already bordered by Nato countries means that if Ukraine is part of Russia, Russia will still have Nato countries on its border

I'm sorry, a vicious murder bombing cities flat isn't my idea of anything but a madman. Not buying the "Putin is a good guy" story. Leveling cities because you feel the need for more land and power isn't a sane thing.

I can't give enough up-votes to #16. A decade ago, Putin may well have been all that this article suggests, or even three years ago. But today, he gives ample evidence of having lost a few of his marbles. Seeing him sitting at one end of a 40-foot table with Macron at the other end, to achieve social distancing, then doing the same with all his visitors including his own generals, tells you he has gone 'round the bend over covid as much as the wacky ladies we see driving alone in their cars with double masks. Rumors are that Putin extensively sequestered himself during the height of the pandemic in Russia, limiting who could meet with him, having them meet with him remotely, keeping all his slaves/servants at a distance, etc. Many have commented that Putin looks more "puffy" than he did a couple of years ago and that he likely is on steroids to enhance his covid resistance. The South African equivalent of our surgeon-general said that they treated Omicron with "tylenol and prednisone" and had almost no deaths directly attributable to Omicron alone. We all know that steroids tend to make people more hyper, paranoid, and even to express "'roid rage."
Our world is at a worrisome pass: Two of the world's three most nuke-equipped nations are being overseen by unbalanced madmen, Brandon and Putin. Everyone supposes that Brandon's handlers will keep him in line, but be careful--General Medals Milley couldn't persuade Brandon to undertake the Afghan withdrawal in a sensible, paced sequence, so Milley threw caution to the wind and ordered the catastrophe we're all familiar with. And it's little comfort knowing that China's madman still has a relatively unimpeded executive function in his brain--because he's mad for power and domination as Mao ever was.

The US State Department under Hillary and even after her were the same criminals such as Vindman that testified against Trump in the impeachment trial. They were all in Ukraine to suck money out along with Hunter, Romney, Pelosi and Kerry. My last item is that anything Soros is for I am totally against. Death to the New World Order. I hope these cretins get what is coming to them.

I don't know whether Vlad has mental problems but I do think he has gravely miscalculated by invading Ukraine. He seems to have thought he could waltz in and intimidate Zelensky into surrender, then install a puppet government. He didn't expect the Ukrainian resistance nor the worldwide response. I really don't think he has gone nuts in spite of what the media is selling. I don't trust them any more than I do Brandon or Vlad. He just made a huge strategic error along the lines of Napoleon and Hitler when they invaded. Unfortunately, his ego may not allow him to call off this war.

After the fall of the Soviet Union, the Ukraine VOTED to separate and they did. Now The "Don" region (majority Russians) want to separate but are forbidden. Do I have this right?
