At least one criminal case that Democrat activists filed against Trump may be ending with a whimper. You may recall that there’s a criminal fraud case against Trump in Manhattan. To the New York Times’s manifest despair, it seems that there is no evidence of an actual crime. Things are so bad that two of the lead prosecutors on the case quit when the District Attorney expressed serious doubt in the case.
In 2018, Cyrus Vance, Jr., Manhattan’s then-District Attorney, charged the Trump Organization and its chief financial officer, Allen Weisselberg, with tax fraud allegedly related to overvaluing properties to obtain bank loans.

Everyone recalls Biden’s remark that the U.S. might soft-pedal its response if Russia engaged in only a “minor incursion” in Ukraine. Well, surprise, surprise! Given the green light from Biden, Russia is unilaterally annexing only a portion of Ukraine. (snip) Put another way, Putin just grabbed one-quarter of the country and a much greater percentage of its mining and heavy industry. Significantly, he did so by claiming that this is what the mostly-Russian people in those regions wanted.
Which brings me to Arizona, Nevada, and New Mexico. Putin’s model was to “seed” the Donets Basin region of Ukraine with Russian-speaking, Putin-loyal immigrants,

Vlad Putin, the evil though very calculating chief oligarch of the shriveled nation of Russia (when stacked against its predecessor, the Soviet Union), is playing chess over the fate of Ukraine, while our figurehead president and his gaggle of administration mediocrities (here being charitable) and Pentagon toadies play checkers. I’ll venture this wager -- though with modest reservations: Putin will bring Ukraine into his orbit without sending his troops en masse into said country.
On Monday, Putin recognized Russian-dominated regions of the Ukraine, followed by a minor incursion of "peacekeepers," travelling by bus, not APC.

One of the most challenging obstacles working against ordinary citizens in the West is the self-satisfying presumption that Western institutions and philosophies are inherently immune from the rise of totalitarianism. (snip) The growing tyranny in the West has not happened overnight. (snip) Western governments are terrified of their people today. They are terrified of what their people believe, or else they wouldn't feel compelled to criminalize thoughts as "hateful." They are scared to death of what their people might say to each other, or else they wouldn't engage in mass surveillance and blatant censorship.

Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is having a rough week with Senator Ted Cruz. Her vastly inflated opinion of her own intelligence has once again led her out on a limb that Cruz is only too willing and able to saw off for her. (snip) AOC released a video in which she bragged about getting stimulus money to "huge amounts" of illegals. (snip) When he saw this video, the senator "pounced," as the Washington Post likes to say when conservatives reveal progressives' hypocrisy: "I tried to prevent Democrats from giving stimulus checks to illegal aliens.
'Fact checkers' said Dems weren’t trying to give illegal aliens stimulus checks.
They were wrong."

Is COVID truly a threat to life on Earth, comparable to bubonic plague? (snip) Robert Malone, M.D. is a virologist and immunologist instrumental in developing mRNA technology, the experimental gene therapy used in mandated vaccines and boosters. When Malone tried to raise concerns about effectiveness, safety, and necessity of mRNA vaccination, he was demeaned, canceled, and censored. (snip) The reason for COVID censorship is obvious: to justify a federal power-grab.

The problem with becoming a dictator is that madness often quickly follows. (snip) in Canada today, we have a ruling party that’s equally obsessive, this time in its determination to destroy all political opposition. To that end, Canada’s ruling class is willing to bring down its entire banking system. (snip) In addition to the usual police powers to arrest people who offended Trudeau, Trudeau’s government announced that it would shut down all crowdfunding platforms, attack cryptocurrencies, and unilaterally seize the bank accounts of anyone protesting Trudeau’s COVID policies or supporting the protesters.
In the Brave New World that is Fortress Canada, you and your family will starve if you offend Trudeau

For more than six years, the media have set out destroy President Trump with lies. (snip) It takes a tremendous amount of effort for most of the media to collude to bury truthful stories of corruption while reporting fictional stories to bury Trump.
Think of how low Biden’s, Clinton’s and Obama’s poll numbers would be if the media reported the truth instead of actively campaigning for them. That is why they bury the stories, to intentionally mislead the public. That is pure dishonesty.
The media and others also use the term “progressive” to intentionally mislead the public about radical leftist policies.

I was shocked not long ago when I read a piece on the Newsweek website. The headline read “Nearly 40 Percent of U.S. Gen Zs, 30 Percent of Young Christians Identify as LGBTQ, Poll Shows.” (snip) That tells you a lot about the state of America today. (snip) It’s guaranteed that you won’t find this absurdity in nations where people struggle for food, water, shelter and freedom (snip) we have 40 million or more young people who have the luxury of navel gazing themselves out of the most basic of biological truths.

Ever since President Trump came down the golden escalators to announce his candidacy for president of the United States, many professional and even casual observers of politics and history have wondered just what was going on in the events that followed. (snip) Now it is clear for all to see, the Deep State was running a coup against Donald Trump. A coup against candidate Trump. A coup against President-elect Trump. And a coup against President Trump while in office. The Deep State, including the Fourth Branch of government (the intelligence apparatus), went after Trump from the moment he came down the escalators

From the closing weeks of 2020 through February 1, 2022, more than sixty percent of the world’s population was injected with Covid-19 vaccines.
This means that in a period of less than fourteen months more than 4.7 billion people received at least one Covid shot. Tens of millions received as many as four doses. (snip) To begin administering a vaccine to the general population within such a short trial period was wholly unprecedented in the annals of modern medicine. To establish that a vaccine is safe, extensive long-term testing must be carried out.

Out of the blue, Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez launched a Twitter attack on Senator Ted Cruz. As you will see, the gist of the attack is that she thinks Senator Cruz can’t dance the way the cool kids do. The cool kids naturally include her, dancing in a Twitter video, with the person in the foreground of African American descent, and behind her AOC in one of her expensive designer outfits, moving rhythmically to music. [tweet captioned "Ted Cruz could never"] Perhaps this is supposed to be a dig at Cruz as an intellectual nerd
