OBERLIN — Allyn W. Gibson, owner of Gibson’s Bakery in Oberlin, passed on Saturday, according to a statement to the business’ Facebook page.(Snip)The statement announced Gibson’s passing “with a heavy heart,” and said Gibson, 93, died during "bakers hours." “Mr. Gibson was one of the most kind and genuine individuals we have ever known. He will be greatly missed,” the statement added. In operation since 1885, Gibson’s has been a staple of downtown Oberlin and is a fifth-generation family-owned business. Condolences immediately began pouring in on Sunday afternoon, where Gibson was remembered for his kindness, penchant for being a storyteller and the values

It was just a casual, throwaway description. Last September, the New York Times reported on a series of daring operations by Ukrainian special forces to evacuate civilians from Afghanistan. U.S. troops had left Kabul, and the Taliban had taken complete control. “Enter Ukraine,” the article read, “a small but battle-hardened nation.”(Snip)... Americans would pass over that word: small.(Snip)This is a big problem. Ukraine is the largest country by territory within the European continent. Its population is roughly the size of Spain’s. Take even a cursory look at any map--Ukraine is anything but small.

Dear Brothers and Sisters Canadian truck drivers, The global coup that in these two years of psycho-pandemic farce has been carried out by the globalist elite appears most clearly if we do not limit ourselves to considering what happened in individual Nations, but broaden our gaze to what has happened everywhere. Your protest, dear Canadian truck driver friends, joins a worldwide chorus that wants to oppose the establishment of the New World Order on the rubble of nation states, through the Great Reset desired by the World Economic Forum and by the United Nations under the name of Agenda 2030.

Several Ohio State University departments are sponsoring "Sex Week" put on by a student organization, which includes one event where students are asked to "help thank abortion providers." Student Advocates for Sexual Health Awareness is hosting the "Sex Week," but the organization told Fox News Digital that several Ohio State University departments such as the Ohio State University Department of Women's, Gender and Sexuality Studies and the College of Social Work are providing financial support for the week-long event. A spokesperson for Ohio State University said that no taxpayer or tuition dollars are going towards the event.

If you receive our emails, you might have noticed that we’ve moved platforms. Since we launched the Legal Insurrection Foundation almost three years ago, our email and other online functions were housed with Salsa Labs. But, due to annoying circumstances beyond our control, we were thrust into the opportunity to learn an entirely new system! (Snip) So, why the change? In the great age of deplatforming, we received an email at 5:00 PM on a Friday informing us that our business was no longer welcome at Salsa Labs. (Snip) Truth is a valuable and dangerous commodity these days.

A five-year-old Moroccan boy who was trapped in a well for four days has died, despite painstaking efforts to rescue him. A royal statement announced his death soon after his removal from the well. The bid to free the boy, named as Rayan, had gripped the country, with hundreds of people gathered at the well and thousands more following online. The boy plunged 32m (104ft) through the well's narrow opening. The rescue had been hampered by fears of a landslide. Rescuers finally brought the boy out of the well on Saturday evening.

I recently spoke at a gathering for medical freedom advocates in a little community center in the Hudson River Valley. I cherish this group of activists: they had steadfastly continued to gather throughout the depths of the “lockdown,” that evil time in history--an evil time not yet behind us--and they kept on gathering in human spaces, undaunted. And by joining their relaxed pot-luck dinners around unidentifiable but delicious salads and chewy homemade breads, I was able to continue to remember what it meant to be part of a sane human community.

This discussion on the special “Second Opinion” panel that Senator Ron Johnson (R-WI) hosted is a perfect example of one of the root problems in the American response to the covid pandemic: The press. Johnson organized world-renowned doctors and medical experts to offer a different perspective on the pandemic: global pandemic response, the current state of knowledge of early and hospital treatment, vaccine efficacy and safety, what went right, what went wrong, what should be done now, and what needs to be addressed long term. The panel discussion was held this Monday, and the 5-hour discussion is via the link HERE.

In a foreshadowing of America’s future under coercive secularism, a Finnish politician and Finnish bishop will go on criminal trial next week for merely upholding historic Christian teaching on sexual morality. The trial is a telling measure of the erosion of Christianity in Europe. Juhana Pohjola, a Lutheran bishop, and Päivi Räsänen, a member of Finland’s Parliament, stand accused of an act increasingly forbidden in the de-Christianized West: quoting the Bible.(Snip)Six Republican members of Congress have called on the U.S. government’s religious commission to condemn Finland for this trial. But that will never happen.

On 24 January, Päivi Räsänen, a doctor, a mother of five and a grandmother of seven, will appear before a Finnish court. The allegation was made in a 2004 brochure featuring marriage and human sexuality, in an opinion on a 2019 radio talk, and in a 2019 post on Twitter.(Snip)Articles 9 and 10 of the Council of Europe Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms state that - everyone has the right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion, as well as everyone has the right to freedom of expression. Consequently, the Finnish authorities' efforts to restrict freedom of expression are

WASHINGTON – More than 180 U.S. congressional lawmakers sent a letter to Republican congressional leadership to support their commitment to maintain the Hyde Amendment and other protections for the preborn in government spending legislation. In initial spending legislation for 2022, Democrats intentionally removed long-standing protections for the preborn in their bid to fund the government. The Hyde Amendment, the most well-known of these safeguards, which prohibits direct taxpayer funding for most abortions, was replaced with pro-abortion provisions to advance the practice.(Snip)The 181 congressmen insist that in order for any appropriations legislation to pass, all traditional and long-standing protections for preborn life must be retained.

In August, Germany's top newspaper, Bild, apologized for the outlet's fear-driven Covid coverage--with special message to children, who were told "that they were going to murder their grandma." Now, a newspaper in Denmark has publicly apologized for reporting government narratives surrounding the Covid-19 pandemic without questioning them. "We failed," reads the article's headline from tabloid Ekstra Bladet, which goes on to admit that "For ALMOST two years, we--the press and the population--have been almost hypnotically preoccupied with the authorities' daily coronavirus figures." [translated] (Snip) Will other news outlets have the journalistic integrity to follow suit?
