Former Vice President Mike Pence says he knows he did "the right thing" on Jan. 6 in certifying the 2020 election and ignoring the requests from then-President Donald Trump to overturn the Electoral College results."I know in my heart of hearts that on that day, we did our duty, under the Constitution," Pence said in an interview with the Christian Broadcasting Network that was released a few days ago. "I don't know if President Trump and I will ever see eye to eye on that day. Or that many of our most ardent supporters will agree with my decision that day. But I know I did the right thing."

New York CNN said Saturday that anchor Chris Cuomo has been "terminated" by the network, "effective immediately."
The announcement came after an outside law firm was retained to review information about exactly how Cuomo aided his brother, former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, when the then-governor was accused of sexual harassment.
CNN said in a statement: "Chris Cuomo was suspended earlier this week pending further evaluation of new information that came to light about his involvement with his brother's defense. We retained a respected law firm to conduct the review, and have terminated him, effective immediately."
"While in the process of that review, additional information has come to light,"

Three police officers were denied service at a San Francisco restaurant because staff "felt uncomfortable" that they were armed.
"Three armed and uniformed San Francisco police officers came in to dine at Hilda and Jesse" on Union Street on Friday, the restaurant said in a post on its Instagram page.
"Shortly after seating them, our staff felt uncomfortable with the presence of their multiple weapons. We then politely asked them to leave."

On Saturday, Chris Cuomo was fired from CNN “effective immediately.”
The decision was unexpected by the many people who figured that the network that kept Jeffrey Toobin despite his… umm… scandal… would ultimately refuse to part ways with its apparent top anchor.
But, apparently, there was more to this story.
Cuomo was suspended after text messages released by the New York attorney general’s office showed Cuomo was actively assisting with his brother’s response to the allegations of sexual misconduct against him and exploiting his media connections to dig up dirt on Andrew’s accusers.
But, according to the statement, during the review, “additional information

For nearly a year the Biden “presidency” -- whoever they are -- has subjected the United States to a destructive revolutionary agenda of unprecedented scope and virulence, all of it arising out of an irrational civilizational death wish for which there is no historical parallel.
No more than a small minority of Americans knowingly voted for this.(snip) the only question worth asking is how, if at all, a counterrevolution of sanity can be mounted and succeed.
Surprisingly, there is real hope. That hope lies in two stubborn centers of resistance that remain: nearly 50% of the American electorate, judging by the 2016 and 2020 elections; and the Republican Party.

Donald Trump's love affair with fast food carried on even when he was hospitalized with COVID-19 as the then-president ordered McDonald's to be brought to his room at Walter Reed Hospital, according to an upcoming book by his former chief of staff. In The Chief's Chief, Mark Meadows writes Trump didn't seemingly lose his sense of taste, as some COVID sufferers have reported, when he demanded takeout during his October 2020 hospital stay. 'They had to eat with face shields on at the doctor's orders, which didn't thrill any of them,' the book, Meadows writes in the book, which comes out Tuesday.

Pro-LGBT talk show host Dr. Mehmet Oz announced his candidacy for a hotly-contested Senate seat in Pennsylvania next year, running as a Republican despite a history of transgender activism and support for other liberal causes.(Snip)In a tweet unearthed by conservative commentator Jack Posobiec, Oz endorsed theories of “systemic racism.” And though he has largely framed his Senate bid around fighting lockdowns and COVID mandates, Dr. Oz once accosted fellow talk show host Wendy Williams for choosing not to get an experimental coronavirus jab.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) issued a statement Wednesday on the Supreme Court case Dobbs vs. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, where she said the Court has the responsibility to “honor the Constitution” and uphold abortion rights.
The Dobbs case, as I’ve been covering, surrounds the constitutionality of a 15-week abortion ban in Mississippi. Dobbs is the first case in decades with the potential to overturn landmark cases Roe v. Wade and Planned Parenthood v. Casey, which gave women the right to an abortion.

So, here we are again: A new COVID variant has appeared on the world stage, this one called 'omicron,' supposedly originating in South Africa. It’s already been detected in Europe and Canada, and the inestimable Dr. Anthony Fauci opines it’s a matter of “when” not “if” it’s a major factor here in the U.S.
With Pavlovian predictability, the Democrats have shifted into an even higher “Vaccinate Now!” overdrive gear. This new strain is being used as the latest club with which to pummel recalcitrant vaccine resisters into shame and submission.

They’re everywhere, they’re everywhere! “They” being “white supremacists,” of course. Not that we didn’t already know MSNBC’s Joy Reid is without question the most bitterly race-obsessed individual in the “news media” — if not on the planet — but almost literally, every time this race hustler opens her silly mouth to spew even more racially-divisive nonsense, she ups her pathetic game. A difficult task, one might assume, which Reid continues to pull off like a piece of cake. Here’s what Reid said in response to the Kyle Rittenhouse verdict, as transcribed by The Blaze: “[T]his is what we expected to

The Bidens were on Biden time last night as they arrived at their designated spot for the National Christmas Tree lighting ceremony. They were late. They were late enough that the host of the ceremony held on The Ellipse in President’s Park south of the White House had to ask the audience to re-do their applause after the First Couple’s introduction.
Last night was the 99th annual National Christmas Tree lighting. Is it too much to ask that Biden’s keepers get him outside on time to flip a switch? Apparently so, and it turned out to be a moment more awkward than usual for Sleepy Joe.
