The nuclear family has always been the backbone of American liberty and prosperity. However, the latest information from the Census Bureau shows that the nuclear family, if not dead, is on life support. Only the smallest fraction of American children are being raised in traditional two-parent households.
Leftists have been waging relentless war on the nuclear family for decades in ways big and small. The big ways began in the 1960s with women’s liberation and no-fault divorce. While both of those may have relieved women from desperately bad marriages and dead-end jobs, they also served to take women out of their role as homemaker and the child’s primary teacher, often transferring

The omicron variant is likely to have picked up genetic material from another virus that causes the common cold in humans, according to a new preliminary study, prompting one of its authors to suggest omicron could have greater transmissibility but lower virulence than other variants of the coronavirus. (Snip) The study is in preprint and has not been peer-reviewed. The “striking” similarity between omicron and HCoV-229E could have made the former “more accustomed to human hosts” and likely to evade some immune system responses, said Venky Soundararajan, a biological engineer who co-wrote the study. One of Richard Nixon’s defense lawyers claimed recently that Tricky Dick didn’t receive due process because “the prosecutors cheated.”
Now Geoff Shepard, 76, has filed an official complaint of attorney misconduct with the federal Department of Justice against Watergate prosecutors — 47 years after the fact.
He revealed the Oct. 2 filing this week. Among its charges: prosecutors improperly met privately with Watergate trial judges, even “rehearsing” court proceedings ahead of time; suppressed exculpatory evidence; and even lied to the grand jury.
And when they were done, Shepard, the author of “The Nixon Conspiracy,” claimed they “wrongfully” took confidential files, in violation of DOJ policy.

In his first day on the job, The Heritage Foundation’s new president, Kevin Roberts, told a group of House Republicans what their shared policy goals should be. (Snip)
“We are fighting, I think, one of the most aggressive, radical leftist agendas in American history, and unfortunately, that’s saying something, going back to the days of Woodrow Wilson and FDR and Clinton and Obama,” the new Heritage chief said, adding:
I want you to know that when you’re looking for the intellectual ammunition to fight Biden inflation, to fight our open borders, to fight everything that they’re trying to do and ridiculous legislation they come up with, the Green New Deal,

When will our intellectual life return to normal, where facts come together into conclusions? Today, in service to ideologies like Critical Race Theory, conclusions are established and facts are manipulated or just ignored to support them.
(Snip) That’s why today we’re paying a visit to the Tenement Museum on New York’s
When I joined the Museum as an educator in early 2016, it was a small, elegant, good place. Inside a restored 19th-century tenement apartment house, it told the story of some of the actual all-immigrant families who had lived there, from inside their actual apartments. Of the over 7,000 people who inhabited that building over its lifespan, researchers established

The ironies of assisted suicide never end. Germany allows suicide on demand — including assistance — as a fundamental constitutional right. But now, you must be vaccinated against COVID before a euthanasia group will help you kill yourself. From the Spectator story:
As European countries battle to limit the spread of the virus, Verein Sterbehilfe – the German Euthanasia Association – has issued a new directive, declaring it will now only help those who have been vaccinated or recovered from the disease. In a statement, the association said:
“Euthanasia and the preparatory examination of the voluntary responsibility of our members willing to die require human closeness.

Most of the media continue to ignore Hunter Biden like toddlers with their fingers in their ears. His laptop is “unconfirmed.” “Unsubstantiated.” “It doesn’t matter.”
The first two are obviously false, a weak excuse to cover things up for the administration. From the beginning, the laptop was substantiated: Hunter’s former business partner Tony Bobulinski confirmed his correspondence was real. Hunter Biden never denied they were his files; in fact, his memoir confirms the pictures of the drug use, prostitutes and financial documents from the laptop.
Post columnist Miranda Devine’s new book, “Laptop from Hell,” details how the Chinese gave Hunter a 3-carat diamond and includes pictures from the computer

They’re now trying to shut down everything again and make the world safe again for private jet-flying elites to escape from voters. This time they claim there’s a super-spreading, super-scary new variant of the Wuhan (pardon me, COVID-19) virus from Africa. As far as I’m able to discover there is no test for it, it has actually been around since July and it doesn’t seem particularly fatal. So far it has produced only mild cases. But the taste of totalitarian control has only whetted the desire for more, with the thought of destroying those “deplorable” productive citizens of the middle class an added bonus.

The Thanksgiving holiday, which commemorates one part of the Pilgrim story, remains the favorite holiday for many Americans. And for good reasons beyond enjoying a feast. With 2021 being the 400th anniversary of the first Thanksgiving, it is worth revisiting the Pilgrim “character” and their five significant achievements, which created the seminal story of America and reveals remarkable insight into who we are.
First, of the many groups of settlers who came to America, only the Pilgrims were singularly motivated by a quest for religious freedom. They repeatedly spoke about their voyage to the New World in terms of a flight from tyranny to freedom,

Kyle Rittenhouse shot three black men. Kyle Rittenhouse traveled across state lines with a gun. Kyle Rittenhouse had an AK-47.
These are three examples of false information being spread about Rittenhouse, whose trial ended last week with his acquittal.
Prominent influencers, including lawmakers and reporters, are sources of some of the misinformation—possibly disinformation—leaving experts troubled.
On CBS’ “Face the Nation” on Sunday, reporter Mark Strassman falsely said Rittenhouse “drove in from Illinois armed for battle.” On CNN’s “Cuomo Prime Time” on Friday, Harvard University professor Cornell William Brooks falsely said Rittenhouse was carrying an AK-47. The Independent falsely reported late last week that Rittenhouse shot three black men.

For 85 minutes on Friday, we held our breath as America’s-not-Sweetheart Kamala Harris was acting president while Joe Biden was anesthetized for a colonoscopy. Near in time, a 12-member panel of jurors in Kenosha, Wisconsin ignored threats shouted on the courtroom steps to find Kyle Rittenhouse not guilty of all the charges against him.
The judge and defense counsel bravely labored on, ignoring the many death threats against them. Kyle was brave to defend himself during the riot and at the trial where the prosecution engaged in numerous unethical acts, not the least of which was charging him with crimes for which they lacked any reasonable scintilla of evidence.

In 2018, after a local news crew filmed Ryan Nichols rescuing dogs abandoned by their owners after Hurricane Florence, the former Marine appeared on the “Ellen DeGeneres Show.” (Snip) Three years after his appearance on the DeGeneres show, Nichols was featured on another program, but this time, Nichols spoke from the fetid confines of a political prison in the nation’s capital. And instead of telling a heroic story of saving dogs drowning in rising flood waters, Nichols told Newsmax host Greg Kelly a harrowing tale of what he saw at the U.S. Capitol on January 6. “We showed up in good faith . . . to protest
