The Sixth Circuit Court has denied the federal government’s motion to transfer the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) vaccine-or-test requirement lawsuit to a different court, while also rejecting the White House’s bid to dissolve a stay on the mandate, delivering a blow to the Biden administration’s efforts to press ahead with implementation.
In a Dec. 3 ruling, the Sixth Circuit Court denied the government’s motion to transfer the case to the Fifth Circuit and the D.C. Circuit, while also rejecting as “moot” the Biden administration’s attempt to overturn a hold on the mandate.

The World Health Organization (WHO) on Friday said the COVID-19 omicron variant is now in 38 countries, up from 23 two days ago, suggesting that the variant may be more contagious than Delta.
During a news conference, WHO official Maria Van Kerkhove said the U.N. health body has seen “an increasing growth rate,” and “we see increasing numbers of Omicron being detected.”
No deaths have been reported so far in connection to the COVID-19 strain, another WHO spokesperson told reporters Friday.
“There is a suggestion that there is increased transmissibility, what we need to understand is if it’s more or less transmissible compared to Delta,”

Welcome to Stasi America!
(snip)The East German Stasi, after all, topped even the KGB when it came to intruding on the private lives of citizens, fundamentally destroying the individual at the hands of the state.
No longer.
Our lack of privacy, not to mention the increased ability of the government to spy on us, has been ratified by eighty—count ‘em eighty—House Republicans, including minority leader Kevin McCarthy (who wants us to see him as a viable replacement of, an actual savior from, Nancy Pelosi) and Burgess Owens of all people (Et tu, Burgess? Who can we rely on now?)

For decades, roughly 1,000 families called the low-slung mud-walled neighborhood of Firqa home. Some moved in during the 1990s civil war, while others were provided housing under the previous government.
Soon after the Taliban takeover Aug. 15, the new government told them all to get out.
Ghullam Farooq, 40, sat in the darkness of his shop in Firqa last month, describing how armed Taliban fighters came at night, expelling him at gunpoint from his home in the community, a neighborhood of Kandahar city in southern Afghanistan. “All the Taliban said was, Take your stuff and go,” he said.

Either Joe Biden’s faulty memory or his lifelong habit of padding his resume was on display Wednesday during a menorah lighting at the White House in celebration of Hanukkah.
(snip)Biden bragged about “the many times” he’d been to Israel, and then decided to alter history and insert himself as an important player in the Six-Day War.
“I have known every — every prime minister well since Golda Meir, including Golda Meir,” Biden said to applause. “And during the Six-Day War, I had an opportunity to — she invited me to come over because I was going to be the liaison between she and the Egyptians about the Suez,

A top World Health Organization (WHO) official said there is “no evidence” to suggest that CCP virus booster doses would offer “greater protection” to healthy people.
Dr. Mike Ryan, the WHO’s emergency director, questioned the logic of some countries trying to produce more booster doses to vaccinate anyone aged 18 and older.
“Right now, there is no evidence that I’m aware of that would suggest that boosting the entire population is going to necessarily provide any greater protection for otherwise healthy individuals against hospitalization and death,” Ryan said.
“The real risk of severe disease, hospitalization, and death lies, in particularly, in at-risk and vulnerable individuals,”

For months, Merrick Garland’s Department of Justice has tried every trick in the law books to conceal from Americans a massive trove of video evidence that captured all the activity at the Capitol complex on January 6. (snip)
Time, however, is running out for the government.
Despite numerous discovery delays, Garland’s prosecutors are gradually turning over video evidence to defense attorneys as they prepare for trial. All surveillance video from the Capitol’s security system is designated “highly sensitive” (snip)
There’s a reason why. (snip) one of the most scandalous untold stories about January 6 is egregious police misconduct that, in some instances, amounted to brutality by D.C. Metro and U.S. Capitol police.

The parents of the 15-year-old charged in this week's deadly shooting at Michigan's Oxford High School have been charged with four counts each of homicide involuntary manslaughter.
The charges against James and Jennifer Crumbley were filed Friday morning in 52nd District Court in Rochester Hills.
It is rare for parents to be charged like this, CNN senior legal analyst Elie Honig said.
"What the prosecutor is saying is: Let's look at the parents' responsibility,” (snip) "This is really a new frontier."
James Crumbley bought the gun four days before it was used in the shooting, prosecutor Karen McDonald said Friday at a news conference. Sophomore Ethan Crumbley was with him and later posted

On the first day of the federal sex trafficking trial of former Jeffrey Epstein “madame” Ghislane Maxwell, defense attorney Bobbi Sternheim referred to a former astronaut turned US Senator who had flown on Jeffrey Epstein’s infamous “Lolita Express” private plane. (snip)There are five astronauts who later became US Senators, and more who have been elected to the House of Representatives. This list includes now-deceased John Glenn (R-OH), Harrison “Jack” Schmitt (R-NM), Jake Garn, (R-UT), Bill Nelson (D-FL), and Mark Kelly (D-AZ), the latter being the only among the small group currently serving in the Senate. Sternheim didn’t elaborate on which specific Senator had traveled with Epstein.

Author and journalist Lee Smith pens a seminal outline showcasing the media’s role in creating the Trump-Russia conspiracy theory: “A comparison of the media’s role in the two biggest political scandals of the past half-century is worth the time of anyone who cares about what the next decade or so of American public life is going to look and sound like.”….

Clinton legal consigliere Andrew Weissmann came out with his memoirs of Team Mueller in book form in September of 2020. The book is somewhat ambiguously titled: "Where Law Ends: Inside the Mueller Investigation." No doubt Weissmann knew what he meant by that, although my point of view would be that where the law ended is where the Mueller investigation began. Meaning, the Mueller investigation began when any predication for a legitimate investigation of Trump ended. Revelations regarding Igor Danchenko, in John Durham’s indictment, lend powerful support to that interpretation (which I’ve maintained from the beginning).

U.S. employers added a paltry 210,000 jobs in November, sharply below consensus forecasts of 550,000 and more than half as many as in October, though the underwhelming job creation numbers triggered Wall Street stock futures to shoot up, as investors bet it would ease pressure on the Fed to accelerate its timetable for scaling back stimulus.
The Labor Department’s jobs report, released Dec. 3, shows that non-farm payroll employment rose by 210,000 in November after rising by a revised 546,000 in October.
The unemployment rate fell 0.4 percentage points to 4.2 percent, a 21-month low,
Comments:
The rollback to the Mueller investigation era, with the person believed to have been the actual leader of the wolf pack with Mueller simply its figurehead. Sooner or later egomaniac Weissman was bound to have to reveal his own “brilliance” and the incompetency of others on the team whom he believes dropped the ball. A real sadist, he is still looking for blood.
Linked is an interview with Weissman from The Atlantic (last September) which I don’t recall seeing posted here. For those readers who would like to see those who perpetrated this fraud brought to justice… Sometimes it takes a while...
