I was talking to my sister from Greenville, South Carolina the other day and she was telling me, once again, about how all the Liberals (read Socialists, Communists, Progressives, Woke Libtards, or just Democrats in general) are moving to Greenville from up north and bringing their values (or lack thereof) with them. She was decrying their habit of driving around with one hand on the horn, ready to blow it at you or anyone else who even slightly gets in their way or simply draws their attention.

There are lots of conservatives that live in blue states....not all those moving bring leftist ideas. Just sayin'.

They are here in coastal Carolina (SC) as well, easy to spot. If you are unlucky enough to converse with them, you will know right away after about 4 or 5 sentences, kinda like listening to the Great full Dead. After the first 4 or 5 seconds of one of their songs, you know it's the Dead, and their still voting 'RAT.

#1, that's me. I live in a red county in a blue state. I would move to a red state in a heartbeat if I my grandchildren weren't close by and I didn't hate hot humid weather!

FTA: "So if your red State is reeling from all the Liberals moving into it, then call your legislators and your governor and tell them to start passing laws that protect your rights and your freedom."
Start passing laws and you start weaving that web... Did you support the Patriot Act when Dubya said it was needed? By golly, security was #1. And it had all sorts of protections, and there was this Constitution. Today that Act is used to brand parents as "domestic terrorists" and to keep "insurrectionists" locked up in Washington D.C. It created those "incorruptible" FISA courts, which only hear the government's pleas for warrants and issues them on that basis, even if lies and twisted truth.
We need laws...repealing laws that are at the heart of our "rights" being trampled. No government has ever expanded liberty. Not Texas or Florida or any other. Those law books get thicker and thicker...but they don't cover illegal immigration, it seems...

No, #1 but most do. It happens here a lot. The east side of my state is conservative but we have a lot of leftists moving in from the west side that is a hell hole and are trying to change our way of life to mimic that which they fled. Idiots.

Terrific advice, and if it comes to it have a look at the article's MAP.
The Republic of Texas approaches.
Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, S Dakota, N Dakota, Montana, Alberta (Canada), Saskatchewan (Canada), Manitoba (Canada), and a few states along the sides. Let's go EAST. Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida.
We have every shipping port in The Gulf of Mexico and half the Atlantic and more oil than the Saudis ever dreamed of.
California and New York can print their own money. If they want to trade they can use Panama. We WILL protect our borders ,north, south, east, and west.
If you're coming to visit Texas bring your US passport with the pre-approved visitor's visa.

Tennessee needs to take this advice. More and more people moving here from blue states and bringing their "values" with them because we have no income tax (but high sales taxes). Housing prices are sky high and Nashville is a nightmare with democrat leadership. State legislature, governor and senators are still republican but wondering for how long--need some strong laws to deter the garbage coming in.

We are lucky in New Mexico just be a pathetically poor with lowest education and no body stops here. You can own a grocery store, meat market or work in the oilfield that's it. Even the illegals when they cross the border don't stay here there's nothing to do. New Mexico's economy comes from Texas it's their Disneyland in the West with race tracks, reservation casinos and winter hunting. There are more Texas licenses plates here than New Mexico ones. That's good oh, plenty of revenue from Texas speeders they drive fast! The only thing that keeps us a Joe Biden blue state are the Santa Fe Ring, name recognition, the homosexuals and movie stars in Santa Fe and the Hispanic population in Albuquerque the rest of the state is red conservative. I guess we are lucky in a way.

We live in a red state with a blue governor and want to retire to a solidly red state nearby. We looked at eastern TN and loved it. Next we're scoping out western SC, but Greenville is the closest large city and if what OP said is happening there continues, that won't be good.
It sucks to know our governor doesn't have our backs on any of these crazy federal so-called mandates, and our general assembly won't stand up to him or the Soros judges. I hate to leave an otherwise beautiful state, but we want to live free in our retirement.
On a hopeful note, we met a young man from upstate NY recently. He is remodeling a home for his family and they are moving here. I told him he's allowed if he doesn't bring NY liberalism with him, and he said NY liberalism is the reason they are moving here.

I moved from blue Virginia to red South Carolina almost 4 years ago. I live in the Charleston area where the traffic is horrendous, but one of the first things I learned when moving here is that it is considered rude to honk your horn. I grew up in the Deep South with Southern manners and it’s nice to know that they do still exist.

Any Ldotters in Oklahoma County need to keep an eye on the District Attorney race. Jaqui Ford is running and supported by Soros. She needs to be defeated in a big way!

I can spot them before they say a word. The easiest way is that they are rude and pushy in a group of people or when driving. They will act like they are superior and know more than you do -- until they realized that they don't and need your assistance. When they come to this realization they seem taken aback a bit and a little confused. This is when they start paying attention to you like are a serious person and know what you are doing. Of course, if they speak first you hear the sound of their voice and how they say certain words very differently. It's good to be aware of who is around you.
Very quickly they start running for local office and are surprised when the locals don't vote for them.
We get a lot of people from New York, CT, Chicago, etc. They drive very expensive automobiles. Hardly ever will have a truck. Most locals will own at least one truck.
I'm not taking about all people from the east or west coast. Not all are like this. If you want to fit in more quickly, ditch the east coast accent and try to learn some of the customs.

At least my state of Georgia has a new election law that outraged the left that they got the spineless MLB to move the Allstar game out of Atlanta. Wonder what they will do if the Braves should somehow get in the World Series?

Very interesting is a county voting map from 2016, and this link is from wikipedia - no friend to conservatives/truth. Fascinating to peruse.

Red state governors need to issue mandates allowing only registered Republicans from moving in. Dems and the media love mandates, so there should be no problems.

Our red state has already lost its major city. I now refer to it as Nashangeles. A once purple city has gone full-on blue. Fortunately, the rural communities still hold sway over the state. If there’s one thing Marxist hoards hate, it’s the farm land.

Left lane of the freeway, Prius with an NPR sticker along with one for Wellstone, driving 45 miles per hour in a 65 zone! Channel on radio tuned to MN Public Radio as occupant has seat fully forward with a death grip at 10 and 2. Usually a prematurely gray haired maiden with a hemp coat and a trunk of groceries from Whole Foods! WILL NOT MOVE RIGHT EVER!!!

I kid you not. One man called 911 about a bat flying inside of his house. He was hysterical that there was not a "service" provided to take care of this problem. I had to stop myself from laughing because I was embarrassed for him. He had a high pitched and excited voice and at first I thought this was some kind of a joke. These people talk about "services" all the time. They can't believe that they are expected to do things for themselves. They hire people to do everything for them. They don't own things like chain saws or even just a plain old wheel barrel. They go jogging and then hire someone to mow their lawn. Has it never occurred to them to harness some of the energy they use jogging and accomplish some work?
