Bloomberg reported, "Amazon CEO, citing ‘rougher’ patch with Seattle, looks to ’burbs."
This is not white flight. Seattle has become coyote ugly crazy and Amazon CEO Andy Jassy wants to leave before he has to gnaw off his leg to get out of the trap.
Shades of Boeing and the Seattle Supersonics.
Bloomberg's story said, "The world’s largest online retailer is by far the biggest private employer in Seattle with more than 50,000 workers. That distinction has proved a headache in recent years, with some residents and government officials blaming the company for exacerbating homelessness and traffic."
Seattle has turned Amazon into its whipping boy, blaming the company for problems the city creates.

When you are so far out on the left that even massively lie-beral companies like Amazon know they have to get away, that should really tell you that the problem is not Amazon.

Nuh-uh!!!!! Somebody make them stay! They gave money to ppl like Clinton, Biden, Obama. Make them stay and suffer the consequences!! Im sick of these slag-offs getting to escape the rolling boulder of their perfidy!! I want to see them flattened! Itll save them a heck of a lot more misery later on, because if they help to REALLY tick us off, there will be no mercy!

I hope Amazon announcing that they are looking at a few small cities, still in the same state (Wa) is not a head fake while they are trying to cut a deal in a pinko mid-sized city in a red state (e.g., Austin, Tx). Biden has already given Texas more than our share of illegal, "New democrats" and has doubled down on inviting many more foreign invaders.

This is actually good news for Seattle. Now there will be no obstacles to them becoming the communist hellhole they always dreamed of.

The employees will move to the new town and continue to vote like they were voting in Seattle ... and ruin it too.

So, they can actually kill the golden goose it seems.
Presume they'll work on getting just far enough out of Kings County, in similar way companies try to avoid Cook County in Illinois.

Sure, drive way an employer with 50,000 employees out of town. Lose the tax revenue and all of the other revenue that these 50,000 employees generated for the greater Seattle area. If it were not for gigantic companies like Amazon and Microsoft being located in or near Seattle, do you think the city would be as popular as it is today? Seattle will no longer be able to blame Amazon for the homeless problem. The homeless will now be able to move into all of the empty condos and hi-rise apartment building that will now be empty when the employees move away to a more business friendly city.

Maybe the city of seattle will buy amazons buildings and turn them into homeless housing like the apartment buildings they are buying. As the big business leave, the restaurants will close. Fewer hotel rooms will be needed and hotels will shutter. The city can then buy them at a discount to house the steady stream of homeless and illegals the socialists will attract.
Before too long, the city will be CHAD full time.

Who is going to pay for all the homeless, brainless, lawless conditions that the Amazon workers have been financing for all these years? Seattle is going to implode into one big sewer and they deserve every bit of it. One positive thing, the roads will be clear of traffic and bicyclists will finally be able to get around - if they can dodge the street thugs and meth heads.

Downtown Seattle was trash in 1985 when I was there for a convention. The streets were crawling with vagrants. The city government decided it would be good to give all the vagrants money to use at the rehab clinic. But they didn't give them rehab clinic chits. They gave them cash. So of course it was used on drugs and booze. And vagrants/homeless from all over the country got word and moved to Seattle for the free money. And the streets became flooded. The convention was very unpleasant because we had to stay locked up in the hotel. There were many restaurants down the street that sounded good but hotel food was safer.

Like Portland and many other leftist-controlled cities, Seattle is turning into a maelstrom of evil. I used to live there, and had both symphony and opera subscriptions for many years. It was once a beautiful place to live, but I would not enter that hellhole now for any reason.
