In one of his first moves after surviving the recall, Gov. Gavin Newsom took his boldest steps yet to fix California’s housing shortage by signing a package of bills that will transform the state by getting rid of single-family zoning and making it easier to build the housing the state so desperately needs. Of the three housing bills Newsom signed Thursday, the most consequential is Senate Bill 9 because it will allow up to four units of housing on a single-family lot. Another, Senate Bill 10, creates a voluntary program that makes it easier for cities to upzone any urban

Welcome to Moscow, SSR. How many family members per unit? 10, 12, 15? Once they’re settled in, they can go wait in line for their vodka ration.

Newsom had "them" come to CA to endorse him. He's basking in the light of his phony "mandate." California is just the BEST place to live right now.
Wait till the population finds out about Senate Bill 9 actually means for them in their nice farms, little small towns, and subdivisions. A private party might actually buy your land but, more likely, the government will declare Eminent Domain and take that nice farm by declaring a "greater good." They will pay you a pittance and then give a contract to a friend who will build multifamily high rises that are supposed to be low income but, it it serves them better, they will go for millions and the poor will still be homeless, the neighborhood will be ruined and everybody at the top makes a lot of money.
Can you tell I've been through this? In our case our area really needed a new high school. Forty years later...still no high school, but a mediocre subdivision of multi million dollar homes.

I hadn't heard this before the recall vote. Does it apply to Hollywood or Marin County?

The means to destroy the suburbs. Buried in the infrastructure bill ....if your town takes federal funds your town gives up the right to control it's zoning laws, it is ceded to the federal government.

They've been working on this for years. The end result will be homeless shelters in the best neighborhoods making it easier for them to steal and whatever.

Brilliant move to help his wealthy pinko supporters: limit the supply of single family units thereby increasing the value of those remaining, most of which are owned by those same pinkos. And they moan about the rich getting richer.

Gotta build those ghettos for all those homeless voters. Nearly two-thirds of the voters said 'no', and this is what they get. Don't want your rights and freedoms? Don't want your wealth? Don't want your safety? Newsom will happily take them. The people that voted for this are dishonest fools. They know better.

Just wait until you’re shoved into one room of your single family home so that the other rooms can be used to house disease ridden violent illegal druggies.

#2, failed to heed the nation's founders and shoot the leftards whenever they cropped up. Letting them infect society is the same as leaving a few rotten apples in the apple barrel.

This is what you get when you allow Commies to have Mail In Voting. There goes the Will of the People. Still don't believe even the liberals left behind in CA are that crazy to vote for poop, homeless encampments, drugs on the streets, high taxes, high cost of living and the public schools run by Communists who hate this country and want to destroy the minds of our children. Fraudulent recall election!

The problem is that the many psychos in CA decide to leave and venture to a place where they may have a greater input. Sickos after sickos with their sicko mentality wanting to infiltrate a law abiding area. These sickos are sick escaping Sickofornia.

Newsome just seized local Planit departments control. This is disastrous. It will create more problems and not solve any that it was intended to solve. I’m moving out.

California. A paradise in the thirties, forties and fifties. Get out now if you can. The state will denigrate into a place for the extremely wealthy and peons working for their billionaire masters. There will be no middle class and these fools talk about ”equity”. California is heading for a real financial reckoning but we few remaining taxpayers will have to bail them out.
