One of today’s most important, and weirdly under-reported, news stories is the economic crisis that threatens Great Britain and, more broadly, Europe. Its most striking current manifestation is a food shortage in the U.K. Acute food shortages were feared last night after high gas prices forced most of Britain’s commercial production of carbon dioxide to shut down. Emergency talks were being held between government officials and food producers, retailers and the energy industry…. The closure of two fertiliser plants in northern England and others in Europe has left the food and drink industry facing a shortage of carbon dioxide, which
By the time this is all done, the British will be back to burning peat for heat.

Green is a suicidal religion disconnected from reality which serves up generous portions of 'virtue' while starving the world and opening the door for totalitarian Marxism.

When are we going to stop listening to environmentalists and their unproven claims and technology?

The Fuel tax in the UK is about eighty cents per liter which works out to about three bucks per gallon, give or take. Brit drivers, as well as most of the others in Europe, start off behind behind the proverbial eight ball before they pull out of their driveways each morning.

The watermelons power is based in fear.
The media peddles their products based in fear which brings eyes, ears and profits. It is natural for humans, especially women, to seek safety so fear works.
"...nothing to fear but fear itself!" it works.

Idiot Marxists in charge. And, as usual, Marxists create shortages, misery and dysfunction.

Wind don't blow, then the sun goes down.
And it's winter. Throw another log on the fire.
Maybe make a pot of soup while it's warm.

They use the term "Renewable Energy" because it is confusingly similar to Perpetual Energy..yet nothing at all alike. Green energy doesn't even provide enough energy to BUILD green energy equipment, neither the generation equipt, the distribution equip, not even the transmission lines or even the outlets people plug into to access it.
It is mildly "amusing" to have the vanguard shortage from their costly quest to eradicate CO2 be...a shortage of CO2.

At this time green energy cannot sustain our energy needs, not even close. It will happen eventually, however, that is years in the future. Right now, coal, oil, gas, hydro are the supplies that we have. We can't change overnight like the green left wants. If you want to convert your home, be my guest. Don't tell me how to power my life. I personally believe that global whatever, warming or cooling, is a fake being used to control the population.

Interesting that there are qualified scientists, like Patrick Moore, who wrote "Confessions of a Greenpeace Dropout" who make convincing arguments that carbon is good for the environment and that we need more.
It is possible the Liberals are having us spend billions, and disrupting lives all around the world, to solve a problem that doesn't exist? Maybe it's not really about the environment.

Too the radicals, the earth is the most important thing. If millions or even billions of people have to be eliminated, its fine with them. It's the old groves and high places of worship from the bible.

When are people going to wake up. Wake up to the fact that they are being ruled by ego maniacs who create their own science using models that only generate the results they favor. How much suffering has to be endured before people say enough is enough. Get it yet...

The Persian Gulf nations have tremendous natural gas reserves lacking a pipeline for distribution through Turkey to Europe. Impeding the construction of this money maker for all countries it would transit through is war torn Syria. Now who is pulling the strings in Syria? Russia?

Windmills, solar panels and electric cars are a novelty. You have a small cabin in the woods without access to power it. A small windmill turning to make electricity stored in batteries would be fine the same with solar panels. Electric cars are made for golf courses not streets in cities they are a fools errand of feeling good about yourself while condemning and harming others with your nonsense. The danger is when the people running the government believe in the stupidity using money from citizens to fulfill their dreams while harming the nation. Creating problems like what is happening in the U.K. to combat a non-existent problem created by stupid people.

If you have the chance to travel to Europe, hire a cab to go somewhere and listen to the cab drivers' view of green. To a man and in their view, Europe has already destroyed itself. This green utopian illusion is much despised and just that...an illusion. These guys dream day and night to own an American-made 1960s vintage carbon-belching muscle car.

Is this a trick question? "Green energy" was created to destroy Europe and America. White people are the scourge of the earth! Mother Gaia must be protected from this parasite of pale humanity! This is the genocide of the West and self-inflicted by traitors to their own race, all in the name of sweet "equity"...oh, yeah, and a lot of cash and raw power. A Lot!
For mature people of Faith it is no longer a question or suspicion, the Great Battle between Good and Evil has broken into the physical realm. Every God-fearing patriot must prepare by adding to their store-house heavenly provisions; prayer, fasting and almsgiving (charitable actions towards your neighbor). Be guided in prayer and beg God for the grace to be the patriot He created you to be.
Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition.

The answer to your question #3...is WE are waking up from a big sleep...pardon the pun...it will take time...but...waking up to the elites'doom and gloom is starting to happen...world wide...and Angela Merkel has done her part in dragging Germany's economy down and opening her borders to rejects from the Middle East...now that she has done the damage ...she moves on...while germans suffer HER leadership flaws...

Europe's gullible embrace of the left's, ''green energy,'' political trickery is their downfall. There is no, 'man-made energy crisis.'' History proves there is only, ''weather,'' which is always changing.
