Two US military vets who now serve as congressmen flew unannounced into Afghanistan to monitor the on going evacuation efforts as they called on President Joe Biden to extend the US withdrawal deadline past August 31. Rep. Seth Moulton, a Democrat from Massachusetts, and Rep. Peter Meijer, a Republican from Michigan, flew in and out of Kabul airport on Tuesday, with both men adding that they boarded return flights with empty seats so as not to take away space from fleeing Americans and Afghans. They appeared to condemn Joe Biden over his chaotic withdrawal from the war-torn country,

There may not be any job worse than working for President Joe Biden’s communications team.Sure, scrubbing down port-a-potties or scraping roadkill off the highway would suck — but Biden’s communications staffers are presented almost daily with the near-Herculean task of cleaning up whatever the president said last; and that might be even worse. For example, White House communications director Kate Bedingfield spent most of Friday morning trying to explain why Biden had taken a vacation while Afghanistan proverbially burned. He returned to the White House only to scold Republican governors

The Supreme Court ruled Tuesday against the Biden administration’s attempt to end former President Donald Trump’s “Remain in Mexico” policy.
In a 6-3 vote, the court rejected the administration’s bid to block U.S. District Judge Matthew Kacsmaryk’s ruling that revived the enforcement of the policy. The high court said the administration failed to show the decision to end the policy was not arbitrary and capricious.

The Associated Press came under fire once again after it published an article on Tuesday describing Palestinians who launched an incendiary balloon attack on Israel as 'activists.' 'Activists in the Gaza Strip on Monday launched incendiary balloons into southern Israel, setting off at least three fires across the border, Israel's national fire service said,' read the controversial article filed by the American news agency.
The piece discussed the rising tensions between Israel and the Palestinian terrorist group Hamas. An individual who shot an Israeli sniper in the head at point-blank range was also called a 'Palestinian activist.'

Video captured an angry Afghan man raging at reporters outside the British Embassy in Kabul this week, screaming “go to hell, Biden!” amid the chaos unfolding as the Taliban take over the country. The passionate moment occurred during an ITV News report profiling the chaos outside the British Embassy where crowds flooded the makeshift entrance as passport holders waited helplessly for their chance to get inside. One harrowing story involved two children who were reportedly left behind by their parents after being admitted.“Mr. Biden, you did this! You planned this!

I’ve been giving a lot of thought to what went wrong in Afghanistan, where we went failed as a nation — and where I made mistakes as an officer. No. 1 was going to Iraq. We should have stayed focused on Afghanistan. In Afghanistan, meanwhile, one of our biggest mistakes was with the Afghan army. Washington— House Democrats passed legislation Tuesday that would strengthen a landmark civil rights-era voting law weakened by the Supreme Court over the past decade, a step party leaders tout as progress in their quest to fight back against voting restrictions advanced in Republican-led states. The bill, which is part of a broader Democratic effort to enact a sweeping overhaul of elections, was approved on a 219-212 vote, with no Republican support. Its passage was praised by President Joe Biden, who said it would protect a “sacred right” and called on the Senate to “send this important bill to my desk.”But the measure faces dim prospects in that chamber,

The remarks Joe Biden gave earlier today on the Afghanistan fiasco may go down as one of the most embarrassing, humiliating speeches given by a President in modern United States history if not the entire history of this country.
For starters, as per the norm, he did not look well as he read from the teleprompter, looking tired and winded after appearing five hours late for the so-called “press conference.” Secondly, and as my colleague Bonchie noted in his write-up, our collective intelligence was insulted as Biden not only lied about a call he had earlier today with G7 leaders, saying there was “strong agreement”

By now the American people understand that Joe Biden’s record of 40 years of bad foreign policy decisions is unbroken. The devastating bugout in Afghanistan is testament to that. I know mothers who more meticulously planned kiddie parties than Biden’s military and State Department “experts” “planned” this humiliating and oath-breaking debacle. The president stammers his way through the few questions he takes on the matter. His planned speeches are not much better. Finally, however, someone has done for Biden what his own military planners and speech writers failed to do.

President Joe Biden’s administration is planning to bring about 50,000 Afghans to the United States who do not have visas and who have not completed their immigration processing.According to three officials who spoke to Bloomberg News, Biden will use the little-known “humanitarian parole” tool to bring roughly 50,000 Afghans to the U.S. The plan is a last-minute effort to bring as many Afghans to the U.S. as possible, as this group does not have Special Immigrant Visas (SIVs), P-2 visas, or refugee status.Instead, Afghans on humanitarian parole will arrive in the U.S. without having first secured visas and completing their immigration processing.

On Tuesday, President Biden made it clear that he would not extend the evacuation of Americans and allies past his arbitrary August 31 deadline. And with the military’s need to pack up their own stuff and Fox News warning that the military would leave in roughly three days, it was obvious Biden was ready to completely abandon Americans to their fate with the Taliban. And of the big three broadcast networks, ABC’s World News Tonight was the only one to explicitly address what Biden’s plan would result in.
While ABC wasn’t pulling punches, CBS Evening News seemed to either be holding out hope or trying to push the Biden administration’s gaslighting.

The Democratic-led House on Tuesday authorized $3.5 trillion of spending in a party-line vote, as the national debt climbs to a record $29 trillion.
The final vote was 220-212. Of the members voting, 96 lawmakers submitted proxy letters to allow them to cast their votes remotely under a system the House adopted at the onset of the coronavirus pandemic.
Using budget reconciliation allowed Democrats to bypass the filibuster in the Senate and push through the $3.5 trillion resolution without votes from Republicans in the 50-50 Senate. Democrats adopted the same strategy to pass the $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan Act, which was the second largest stimulus bill in U.S. history.

The level of incompetence apparent in the Afghanistan withdrawal has been breathtaking. Even a smart 12-year-old, after all, would know that you have to evacuate American civilians and vulnerable allies before removing your military personnel. This reality has given rise to staggering speculation, that, for example, the powers-that-be desired this messy outcome. Some have even theorized that the goal, by hate-America-first Deep Staters, is to diminish the United States.
But what if the goal is actually to damage the Joe Biden administration, something that’s already a fait accompli?

During a Monday press briefing, Sullivan deceptively claimed the previous administration did not process any Special Immigrant Visas (SIV) for Afghans who assisted the U.S. military since March 2020.(Snip)Sullivan said:
When we took office in January, the Trump administration had not processed a single Special Immigrant Visa since March of 2020 — in nearly a year.
But apparently, the national security advisor was banking on the chance that people wouldn’t dig further into the matter because this statement

The laughter was so off-kilter, it made you wonder if Joe Biden had taken leave of his senses during his mini-press conference Sunday.
Americans are trapped behind enemy lines in Afghanistan. Our troops at Kabul airport are faced with an uncontrollable surge of people so desperate to escape, they are dying in the crush. America has suffered its worst self-inflicted humiliation and the free world is less safe — all because of his dumb decisions.
And he laughs? A cold, inappropriate laugh, muscle memory deployed as a political weapon by a man operating on empty.

Dr. Anthony Fauci has admitted making his latest mistake in coronavirus guidance, this time over when he thinks the pandemic will come “under control” — apologizing by saying, “My bad.”
The White House coronavirus czar had told NPR on Monday that if enough people get vaccinated, the US could “really get some good control over this” by the fall or winter of next year.
But quizzed on it by CNN’s Anderson Cooper later the same day, Fauci — who has been under fire repeatedly for flip-flopping on his public advice from the early days of the pandemic — said he actually thinks that control will come even sooner.

A female Afghan refugee using the name “Muskan” told India’s News18 on Saturday that Taliban fighters are raping both live women and the dead bodies of their victims.
News18’s account described Muskan as a “girl” who left her job in Afghanistan and fled to New Delhi after “her life was threatened by a Jihadist group.” The article did not say exactly when she left Afghanistan.
“When we were there, we received numerous warnings. If you go to work, you are under threat, your family is under threat. After one warning, they would stop giving any warning,” Muskan said.
“They rape dead bodies too. They don’t care whether the person is dead or alive.

Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid told reporters in a press conference Tuesday that the terrorist organization is urging all women in Afghanistan to stay home for their safety, as the group has not yet taught its own terrorists “how to deal with women.”

President Biden has decided to adhere to his initial August 31 deadline for withdrawing American forces from Afghanistan, multiple outlets reported on Tuesday.
Biden has requested contingency plans should the U.S. need to keep troops in Afghanistan until a later date, a senior administration official told CNN. A Taliban spokesman said on Tuesday that the U.S. must withdraw all its forces from the country by August 31, with “no exceptions.”
In response to the Taliban threat, Senator Ben Sasse (R., Neb.) urged Biden to ignore the withdrawal deadline.
“Damn the deadline. The American people are not going to surrender our fellow citizens to the Taliban.

The WNBA champions apparently do have time for losers. Even as thousands of Americans have been left stranded in Taliban-controlled Afghanistan, the Seattle Storm came to the White House for a photo-op with Joe Biden to celebrate their victory.
The Storm are the first NBA or WNBA team to visit the White House since the Cleveland Cavaliers came in 2016.
But their return to the White House came with an awkward, cringeworthy moment, when Biden, during a photo-op, bizarrely kneeled in front of the team as he showed off a jersey that read “Biden 46”. Was this simply a spur-of-the-moment decision? Or was Biden’s kneeling an intentional, symbolic gesture?

The Taliban on Tuesday eliminated any ambiguity surrounding the United States’ withdrawal deadline, saying the American military must be out of Afghanistan by the Biden administration’s August 31 departure date.
Amid rumors that President Biden is deliberating pushing out the expiration date to evacuate the thousands of American nationals and refugees still stuck in Afghanistan’s interior, a Taliban spokesman announced that “no extensions” will be granted, the Associated Press confirmed.
At a press conference Tuesday, Taliban representative Zabihullah Mujahid said it would be a “violation” of the Trump-era arrangement to allow foreign nationals to exit the country beyond August 31st.

It might seem that there is little to be added to what the whole world has witnessed viewing the unutterable shambles of the U.S. departure from Afghanistan. But that would be an illusion. The story of the perilous departure from Afghanistan of NATO forces and civilians and their Afghan collaborators who are now in mortal danger is obviously a matter of great suspense. The United States could certainly tell the Taliban government of Afghanistan that if all those whom the Western powers wished to evacuate were not allowed to leave it would be an act of war.

A week after the Fall of Kabul, the flailing hegemon continues to embarrass itself:
America's official deadline for total withdrawal from Afghanistan is August 31st, so half the remaining time has already elapsed, and in that first week of a final fortnight, according to the Department of Defense, it evacuated just 2,500 Americans - or about 350 per day. That seems an under-performance - or, as The New York Post's front-page headline distills it, "DUMKIRK".

Although the leftists I know are still resolutely silent about Biden’s Afghanistan debacle, even the mainstream media has caught on to the fact that something dreadful is happening there: Americans are trapped in Afghanistan with diminishing chances of escape, our military is essentially trapped at Kabul airport, tens of thousands of Afghan citizens have been getting on flights that will see them end up in America, sharia and all, and the Taliban is on its usual murderous rampage. His fifty-years as a politician is littered with a litany of failures due to unforced errors, countless flip-flops, plagiarism, cupidity, mendacity and demagoguery all brought about by an overweening sense of infallibility and egocentrism.
Yet he was chosen by the current ruling class to be the figurehead in their devious scheme to defeat Donald Trump by any means possible in the 2020 election.

The House Freedom Caucus held a press briefing regarding Democrats’ wasteful spending plans. Amid the House’s return to the Capitol on Monday, members of the House Freedom Caucus laid out their perspective on both the bipartisan infrastructure bill and the $3.5 trillion budget.
The group of Republicans slammed Democrats over their push for wasteful spending in both bills by saying further discussion needed to take place before they were passed. Rep. Chip Roy (R-Texas) pointed out instead of the House reconvening to address the disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan, they came back to discuss Socialist Democrat spending bills that would rack up the national debt.

Barron Trump has enrolled in a $34,800-a-year private school just 15 minutes from his dad's Mar-a-Lago country club. The Oxbridge Academy in Palm Beach, Florida announced late last week that the former president's son, who is 15, would be attending the private school for the upcoming 2021 - 22 school year. It was founded in 2011 by William Koch, the brother of major Republican donors Charles and David Koch. William - also known as Bill - was a keen fundraiser for Trump's 2016 presidential bid, but Charles and David avoided donating to the former president's efforts.

Joe Biden is 'unlikely' to meet his August 31 deadline to evacuate US citizens and their allies from Afghanistan, the chair of the House Intelligence Committee said Monday.
Adam Schiff made the grim prediction after an intelligence briefing Monday evening, as the Taliban rejected a mooted extension to the withdrawal date. Schiff said a full evacuation was 'possible' but 'very unlikely given the number of Americans who still need to be evacuated, the number of SIV’s, the number of others who are members of the Afghan press, civil society leaders, women leaders.'

Outgoing Gov. Andrew Cuomo used his farewell speech on Monday to deny, complain, boast and — of course — take a parting shot at his longtime political nemesis, Mayor Bill de Blasio. Here are some of the more tone-deaf, head-scratching and ultimately predictable remarks from the 16-minute, pre-recorded address that marked the disgraceful end of Cuomo’s nearly three terms in office:
“Unfair and unjust”Cuomo again denied the allegations that he exploited his powerful position to sexually harass 11 women, nine of whom are current or former state employees and who include a state trooper assigned to his protective detail.

The House scrapped a planned Monday vote to advance two key economic proposals as centrist Democrats and party leaders failed to break a stalemate over how to proceed with President Joe Biden’s sprawling economic agenda.
The chamber will reconvene at noon ET on Tuesday as Democrats try to strike a deal to move forward with legislation they see as an economic boon and a lifeline for households. Biden’s domestic policy goals, and his party’s push to retain control of Congress in next year’s midterms, could hinge on whether Democrats find a compromise.

Kyrsten Sinema still opposes her party's plans for a $3.5 trillion, party-line spending bill. And she’s not up for a negotiation about it.
As House Democratic leaders hold back Sinema’s own Senate-passed bipartisan infrastructure bill in order to push the Arizona Democrat and Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) to support a multitrillion-dollar spending bill, Sinema is making it crystal clear that her mind can’t be changed. And that applies even as her own legislation becomes a bargaining chip in House Democrats’ internal discussions.
The $550 billion bipartisan infrastructure bill “is a historic win for our nation’s everyday families and employers and, like every proposal, should be considered on its own merits,”

Democrat rank-and-file resistance to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s (D-CA) hardline tactics on infrastructure has only grown since the leading House lawmaker has attempted to strong-arm moderate Democrats.
Moderate Democrats, led in part by Rep. Josh Gottheimer (D-NJ), have led the revolt against Pelosi’s strategy to hold the $1.2 trillion so-called bipartisan infrastructure bill “hostage” to secure passage for the $3.5 trillion budget resolution and subsequent reconciliation infrastructure bill.

Chief White House medical adviser Dr. Anthony Fauci said Monday on CNN’s “Anderson Cooper 360” in light of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) granting full approval of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine. It was now time for companies, governments and schools to mandate vaccines.
Fauci said, “There was some poll that showed it, that about 30% of people who are not anti-vax, they were just waiting to get what they felt was the real final stamp of approval, which we just got today with the Pfizer product. And those 30% are saying when that occurs, they will feel very, very comfortable about getting vaccinated. So right away

The failure of the U.S. mission in Afghanistan, though great, is of comparatively minor importance when compared to the manifest collapse of the Washington intelligence, diplomatic, and military institutions on which national and Western security depend. This transformed what was potentially a local debacle into a strategic crisis of the first order.
The fact that no senior official was fired and the administration insists on characterizing obvious ineptitude as resolute excellence underlines, rather than belies, their delusional character. But it fools no one except a dwindling number of media hacks. We see you Joe — and so do the Taliban, the NATO allies, and, worst of all, America’s most dangerous foes.

As we reported earlier, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki had a meltdown when Fox’s Peter Doocy dared to ask about the Americans still “stranded” in Afghanistan. Doocy: “Does the President have a sense that most of the criticism is not of leaving Afghanistan? It’s the way that he has ordered it to happen by pulling the troops before getting these Americans who are now stranded. Does he have a sense of that?”
Psaki: “First of all, I think it is irresponsible to say Americans are stranded. They are not. We are committed to bringing Americans who want to come home, home.

Washington Democrats' efforts to pass their signature, $3.5 trillion spending package is in jeopardy of falling apart, as House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, leader of the Democrat-controlled chamber, does not appear to have the votes this week to advance the measure awaiting in the Senate.
The votes are set to be cast Monday and Tuesday, with House members returning for two days during their August recess to try to move forward the pending package.
Pelosi can afford to lose only three votes in the narrowly divided chamber.

In the past day, about 16,000 people have been evacuated from Kabul, which is almost half of the 37,000 that were evacuated in a little over a week, according to the Pentagon.
Deputy Director of the Joint Regional Operations, Maj. Gen. Hank Taylor, said that 28 military flights evacuated about 10,400 people and 61 coalition aircraft evacuated 5,900 people from Kabul in the past 24 hours, according to The Hill.
Dulles International Airport, just outside Washington, D.C., received five flights with approximately 1,300 passengers in the past day, Taylor said.
