A 22-year-old freelance photographer was brutally attacked and beaten by a stranger while on vacation in Seattle. The victim, who goes by Caliber Visuals on social media, is still spitting up blood and getting severe headaches days later, he said. The attack was caught on graphic surveillance video, and shows Caliber approached by a man in an orange shirt and black pants. The two seem to shake hands, but the suspect doesn’t let go and throws Caliber to the ground. The suspect repeatedly kicks and stomps on Caliber’s head before knocking him unconscious. The suspect goes through Caliber’s pockets, taking his money and personal belongings

Still amazed that anyone would visit one of these hell-holes.

This is so hard to watch. My heart goes out to this young man.
I'm sorry, but if I were there and witnessed this attack, I would certainly put an end to this real fast. I always carry.

Took a "vacation" to Seattle.
Like taking a vacation to the inside of the gorilla cage at the zoo.

I used to wonder why Americans would want to go to North Korea or Iran. Now I wonder why Seattle, San Francisco, Portland...any large dim governed city.

And the attacker had no race, may even "identify" as white.
I couldn't see his race, could you?
A normal day in another city of love.

They should have the perpetrator in custody in a couple of days if they are operating a “Crimestoppers” type operation in Seattle, as you can bet they are folks in the Black community who will identify him, in return for a good amount of cash.
Another big Democrat run city serious assault crime and not a “White Supremacist” in sight? Not a word from Biden who is hanging out at his mansion in Delaware.
The watchword if you are in one of those Democrat run cities is never approach, stay near, or talk to apparent down and out Black men who could “sucker punch” you at any time without provocation especially if you are of Asian or White appearance.

Why would anyone in their right mind visit Seattle, Portland, Chicago, etc. on a vacation? There are lots of other places that are actually safe.

A terrible attack, and could easily have been fatal. May yet prove to have lifetime consequences for the victim. Sad to see this happen to anyone.
Unlike Oregon and California, Washington state recognizes my out of state concealed carry permit. So, if there was some real reason, not just random tourism, I might visit the area, since I could defend my self from this sort of an attack. But, I have been to Seattle, wasn't much impressed and have no immediate need or desire to return.
A lot of people, raised in places where they have never even known anyone who was physically assaulted, still have a very Pollyanna view of the world. They imagine that everyone is a nice person. The problem is that this is an overwhelmingly correct opinion. The number of people who will harm you is very small......but the key point to grasp, and where many fail, is the number of violent people running around is NOT ZERO. If you run into one of those few, the consequences can be serious injury or death, not just loss of goods and money.
And never forget: You have exactly as much security as you brought with you. I have been told by police officers many times, "No matter how much we try, we can't be everywhere there will be a crime." This young victim brought nothing in the way of security. No physical attributes, no fighting skills, no weapons and weapon skills. And no vigilance, either. Even unarmed, with vigilance, you can often avoid
getting into a position to be attacked.
Ya'll be safe out there. The great majority of people are wonderful. Some are jerks. A very few will harm you for little or no reason.

Rule one. Don't visit those cities.
Rule two. If you have to go through those cities, fill up your gas tank in the rural (safe) areas before you get there, stop for lunch/bathroom breaks before you get there, and just drive through (no stops on the interstate) and get far out of town before you stop again.
And yes, most people are good. Problem is, in those cities, the good are getting harder and harder to find.

"Stranger", add that one to the journalist list of vague references to avoid informing readers about the epidemic of violent black-on-white crimes inspired by: journalists. Youth, teen, dirt-bike rider, person in shoes... Maybe when the journalist is the victim they will get to "feral animal". Going any further would be admitting their liability in all of this.

Regardless of the particulars of this encounter, anyone contemplating a “visit” to Seattle or Portland needs to have their head examined. How sad.

Only with pure hatred can someone beat a person like that. This animal when and if caught should be charged with attempted murder and a hate crime. These young black thugs are running out of control and its time to call them out for it.....

When you put a bounty on feral creeps this will abruptly end. Question, why shake hands with a stranger, a black stranger? I've been approached while traveling and I warn all persons of any race to get away from me, far away I carry a gun and large knife at all times everywhere. First lesson stay out of Seattle it's beauty means nothing when you can be killed for you seeking 'enjoyment' of a vacation.

This happened to me. Except ... I large tall black man, well dressed, slacks, collared shirt, jacket smiled and nodded as he approached. I was in San Francisco at a conference and thought he might have been one of the dozens of people I met there. He said hi, started to pass, and then pivoted, hugging me with his arm around me and simultaneously told me to give him my money. Then magically the hand on my chest was in my hands, pretty far up behind his back. It must have been uncomfortable because this large strong man started to whine. I told him never to touch me, get away and he left quickly.
Why didn't I get the police? I let others explain why assaulting a black man simply giving me a friendly hug might have landed me in a California prison for 15 years with the racist and homophobic hate crime enhancement.

Men walking while white while wearing lipstick are not safe around bLACK folks in Seattle. Because as all good Americans know, no lives matter until black TRANS lives matter. Also, this African business of slamming victims to the pavement then kicking and jumping on their heads has got to stop; should be met with attempted homicide charges at a minimum.
