Herd Immunity to Herd Mentality

Original Article

When my family and I contracted COVID last November and December, we sighed that at least we wouldn’t need to get vaccinated. We need not worry about investigating which of the experimental vaccines we might reluctantly consider injecting into our bodies, especially the non-conventional mRNA-based vaccines (i.e., Pfizer and Moderna), which are quite new and quite concerning. But hey, at least we were contributing to the herd immunity that the nation and world were eagerly racing toward. (Yes, you can thank us for our suffering.)

Taint fear of the needle, but fear of a government orchestration that desperately wants to inoculate portions of the population that are not at risk of a flu with a 99.9997 recovery rate.

If the vaccines worked, we wouldn't be told to wear masks again. It's guaranteed that a ''new variant'' will emerge every time things start to get back to normal. We will need ''new vaccines, and more masks!'' More government control. Less freedom...

The end reference to the student who is being coerced by the university should result in a rallying cry. Lawsuits should be flying! And, legislators should be working to make sure that any business or institution that requires vaccination must be held liable for any damaging side effects. (Side note: some vaccine promoters on this site should visit the VAERS database and then tell us how wonderful the vaccines are!)

FTA: I asked the student this: does the university truly have the authority to force you to have a non-FDA-approved vaccine stuck in your arm against your will? I doubt it. I told him to have his parents call the university and ask that question directly. And the answer that will be given is "Yes, we have that authority to protect our students, faculty and workers." So, now what? Is the lad going to sue? Good luck. All sorts of agencies have assumed authority and, like "South Park's" Cartman, demand all to respect that authori-tie! Very few have been slapped down. The exceptions prove the rule. In terms of employers, under existing employment laws they set the work rules. If there's a union these are negotiable. Other than that, it's employment at will. Don't want "the jab", your choice...and you may resign or be fired. That's the price of your freedom. Don't let the door hit you...

People have trusted others to tell them the truth, but what has really happened is mass hypnosis. Many who have digested particular sources of news absolutely believe they are bravely and morally fighting actual Hitler. It has morphed into a fundamentalist religion. Separation of church and state should apply here, but try convincing these folks they are religious.

Excellent article, well worth reading. More and more people discovering that there are bad side effects for some from this vaccination, including 9,000 government-documented deaths, far more than with any other vaccination in the last 30 years. The government "recognizes" that there have been many serious health problems but still recommends that everyone get their magic shot. No, thanks. I have had dozens of vaccinations. I don't want this one.

Victimizers quickly becoming victims is a recurrent theme of Thucydides’ history. In his commentary on the so-called stasis at Corcyra, he offers his most explicit warning about the long-term dangers of destroying legal institutions, customs, and traditions that serve the common good for short-term gain. The historian notes that in the inevitable yin and yang of politics, the destroyers inevitably will seek, but do so in vain, refuge in what they have destroyed.

There is no “party in the back” on Kim Jong-un’s watch. The North Korean dictator has outlawed mullets and skinny jeans in an attempt to cut off “decadent” western-style fashion trends, according to a report. The tubby tyrant has approved only 15 official “non-socialist” haircuts — and the long-in-the-back look isn’t up to snuff, according to The Daily Express. He also ordered a bizarre crackdown on ripped jeans, sloganed T-shirts and nose and lip piercings, according to the outlet, which cited North Korea’s The Rondong Sinmun newspaper.

The school board voted 4-1, with two abstentions, to approve a resolution to prohibit implementation of critical race theory and the 1619 Project, a New York Times project that put slavery and Black contributions

Brennan feared that his vote for Hall in 1976 threatened to doom his chances of entering the CIA. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) is safe in his job despite repeated attack from former President Trump, Republican aides and strategists say. At the same time, GOP sources say that McConnell’s long-term future atop the Senate GOP may depend on what happens in the 2022 and 2024 elections and whether Trump, who is strongly considering another presidential campaign, expands his power in the party. The key difference between McConnell and Rep. Liz Cheney (Wyo.), the third-ranking House GOP leader whose ouster is a foregone conclusion this week, is that McConnell’s focus is not on firing away at Trump.

Chicago Public Health Commissioner Dr. Allison Arwady on Tuesday said the city will launch a COVID-19 vaccination passport program next month for admission to select concerts geared toward young people, in another effort to “incentivize” residents to get their shots. For now, the city is working with club organizers on setting up shows and other events with “a youth flavor,” Arwady said, but the “Vax Pass” concept could end up applying to other venues, too. “As we build vaccine confidence and convenience, we’re interested in thinking about ways to incentivize people to get the vaccine,” Arwady said.

ROME — Pope Francis cracked down Friday on the spread of the old Latin Mass, reversing one of Pope Benedict XVI’s signature decisions in a major challenge to traditionalist Catholics who immediately decried it as an attack on the ancient liturgy. Francis reimposed restrictions on celebrating the Latin Mass that Benedict relaxed in 2007. The pontiff said he was taking action because Benedict’s reform had become a source of division in the church and been used as a tool by Catholics opposed to the Second Vatican Council, the 1960s meetings that modernized the liturgy. Francis issued a new law requiring individual bishops to approve celebrations of the old Mass

WASHINGTON — Two weeks after celebrating America’s near “independence” from the coronavirus, President Joe Biden is confronting the worrying reality of rising cases and deaths — and the limitations of his ability to combat the persistent vaccine hesitance responsible for the summer backslide. Cases of COVID-19 have tripled over the past three weeks, and hospitalizations and deaths are rising among unvaccinated people. While the rates are still sharply down from their January highs, officials are concerned by the reversing trendlines and what they consider needless illness and death. And cases are expected to continue to rise in coming weeks.
