Proponents of Critical Race Theory are resorting to semantic gaslighting to defend a dogma that most Americans instinctively abhor. Some pundits claim that CRT is exclusively a school of thought taught in legal academia. On her MSNBC show, Joy Reid claimed that “law school is really the only place it is taught. NBC has looked into everywhere.” Former Lincoln Project co-founder George Conway tweeted: “I don’t think critical legal studies should be taught in elementary schools, and I am ready to die on that hill[.]” Some journalists, informed by other “experts,” contend that CRT is synonymous with “talking about racism.” NPR defined CRT as “teaching about the effects of racism”;

If this insanity is taught in local schools it is a patriotic duty to refuse paying property taxes until it is stopped. And this time it really is for the children.

Are "lying to" or "propagandizing" too difficult to type instead of this stupid "gaslighting" term? That's a term that I really don't like. It isn't clear, it isn't evocative of anything. It's a silly, made up term that should be erased.

CRT is not a ‘discussion’ about race. It teaches that the US is inherently racist and bad and always will be. They couldn’t stand a real discussion about race or it would have to include the violent race hate that blacks have for whites and other races. It would also have to include a discussion on why black crime is seven times worse than whites. Murder, robbery, assault, rape and a violent culture that sees nothing wrong with criminality. I doubt that is the discussion they want but it’s the one they should be having.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., refused to answer a question about "Squad" member Rep. Ilhan Omar’s, D-Minn., most recent inflammatory statements about Israel and her Jewish Democratic colleagues. During her weekly press conference Thursday, a reporter asked Pelosi a question regarding Omar’s comments this week during an interview, in which Omar stood by her comparison of the U.S. and Israel to internationally recognized terror groups Hamas and the Taliban, and blamed her Jewish colleagues for forcing her to walk back the comments. Pelosi interrupted the reporter during and waved off the question, saying, "let’s stay with this" and that she would "answer that afterward."
Is Harvard Sacrificing Science for Wokeness? 13 replies

There is a cultural shift underway affecting all aspects of American life. Though hard to define, it usually takes the form of an emphasis on what is known variously as diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), critical race theory, wokeness, anti-racism, and the like. Several scholars and writers have been raising the alarm about its anti-intellectual and illiberal aspects. Heather Mac Donald has shown how it has permeated the university. Is there reason to be suspicious? One might suspect that the new ideology only affects intrinsically political areas of study, such as Government and History. But in fact it has infected every area, even science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).

Bill Cosby’s sex assault conviction was overturned by Pennsylvania Supreme Court on Wednesday. The actor, 83, was released from prison after the court ruled that the prosecutor who brought the case was bound by his predecessor's agreement not to charge Cosby. Philip Dube, a Los Angeles County deputy public defender who was not involved in the case, told Fox News that the comedian – once dubbed "America's Dad" – was released because he was "denied due process and the benefit of an immunity agreement reached between him and prosecutors during civil litigation brought by his victims."

Rep. Ilhan Omar's latest remarks about Israel and Jewish members of Congress have sparked backlash, as the Minnesota Democrat expressed zero regret for comparing Israel to Hamas and the Taliban. In a CNN interview on Tuesday, Omar said she does not regret her tweet from earlier this month in which she lumped Israel, the U.S., Hamas, and the Taliban together. When asked if she knows why fellow Democrats – particularly Jews – found previous comments of hers about Israel to be anti-Semitic, Omar accused them of not being "partners in justice" while claiming that she herself "knows what it feels like to experience injustice in ways that many

Adherents of radical feminism are five decades into a powerful campaign that seeks to shape the way American women think. Politics, fashion, Hollywood, academia, and media propagate a singular vision of womanhood, relying on savvy use of optics, messaging, and even make-up. These radical feminists have done a remarkable job of silencing or sidelining their critics. Ironically, whether they know it or not, feminists’ unspoken premise insists men are superior to women and women must become like them in the pursuit of equality. Therefore, to be equal, women must be able to eliminate the consequences of sex, like men, and rid themselves of unborn children through unrestricted abortion.

Josh Hawley was just explaining how much he agreed with Barack Obama when Kamala Harris arrived. For weeks, the junior senator from Missouri had raised hell over who should head the federal agency that is the equivalent of the federal government’s human resources department. Hawley gave speeches and made procedural motions that deadlocked the Senate, ultimately resulting in the arrival of the vice president’s motorcade on Capitol Hill. That’s when Hawley lost the fight. And Hawley knew he had lost the moment his chief of staff leaned over to interrupt an interview with RealClearPolitics. “She is here,” he announced.

Attorney General Merrick Garland announced that the Department of Justice is suing the state of Georgia Friday over their passing of a law to ensure election integrity and security. President Biden has been highly critical of the new law comparing it to Jim Crow. George Washington University Law Professor and Fox News contributor Jonathan Turley sat down with "Fox & Friends" Saturday to analyze the DOJ lawsuit. "I'm highly skeptical and I think they may ultimately regret this move. It could indeed clarify this issue in a way the Biden administration does not want," Turley said.

Judges appointed by former President Trump have stymied President Biden's policies on multiple fronts in the early months of the new administration, taking what experts say is a less "deferential" approach to executive power as judges appointed by past presidents. "What you’re seeing is that ‘pen and phone’ initiatives are running into legal trouble right off the bat," Ilya Shapiro, the vice president and director of the libertarian Cato Institute's Robert A. Levy Center for Constitutional Studies, told Fox News. "Trump appointed a lot of judges — more than anyone in one term than Jimmy Carter, for whom Congress created 152 new judgeships to fill

While answering questions from reporters, Harris proceeded to list various border policies implemented in El Paso by the Trump administration, claimed they had "disastrous effects," and praised the Biden administration for work she claimed alleviated the crisis. "First of all, what is happening here in El Paso really is, in many ways, highlights many of the facets on the issue of immigration. Something strange is afoot in the party of Jefferson. With the Democrats still spinning after the collapse of their election bill — and progressives furious with the White House’s seeming lack of commitment to that effort — the president has already pivoted, announcing a plan to tackle the violent crime wave besetting American cities. And the Vice President? She’s on her way to the border, 91 days, two countries, and countless laughs after it was first assigned by the boss. Some might notice that cracking down on rampant crime and tackling a crisis at the border were not topics of discussion when now-President Joe Biden and now-Vice President Kamala

J.D. Vance is the man Republicans have been praying for since the day Donald Trump stormed to the party’s presidential nomination five years ago. He has a lot of the traits conservatives liked about Trump: Vance, too, is a political outsider with proven appeal to an audience beyond politics, thanks to his bestselling memoir Hillbilly Elegy. Like Trump, Vance offers himself as an avatar for the people who have been discarded by globalization and demonized by a left-wing media and education establishment. And he is as radical as Trump — maybe more so — in his willingness to reject the merely liberal side of American conservatism. Trump defied elite orthodoxy

America’s first black billionaire, Robert Johnson, is pushing hard for the government to pay $14 trillion in reparations—and he wants his check just like everyone else. “Reparations would require the entire country to… admit that the result of slavery has been 200 years of systemic racism,” the Black Entertainment Television (BET) founder told Vice. “And for that reason, black folks have been denied $13-15 trillion of wealth and therefore we as a country now must atone by paying black people of all stripes—the rich ones, the poor ones, and the middle—out of our pocket,” Johnson told the outlet.

Vogue, the world's fashion bible, has placed Jill Biden on her cover as the epitome of fashion. She's a "goddess," they explain. Which is a stretch, given that the first lady has sported getups like this loud red zebra print dress, or these huge-print patterned pantyhose worn with elfin spike heel ankle boots. It goes to show that its whole schtick is politics, not fashion. After all, the big fashion bible for the world's stylish somehow managed to overlook the nation's truly stylish first lady, Melania Trump, a former super-model, who not only was quite beautiful, but age-appropriate and elegant in her four years as first lady.

NEW YORK — "Foolishness." "Unfortunate." "Generations of failures." New York City's Board of Election is facing widespread criticism after it mistakenly included some 135,000 "test" ballots in partial results released Tuesday in its tightly-contested mayoral election. The three-way contest — between Brooklyn borough President Eric Adams; Maya Wiley, former counsel to Mayor Bill de Blasio; and Kathryn Garcia, former Department of Sanitation head — has been upended with a murky picture of who is ahead after the election board's botched release and scores of mail-in votes remain to be counted. Vice President Mike Pence may be in the doghouse with conservatives but no one can say there were stories that he was a bad boss or that his office was chaotic, mismanaged, or incompetent. Things are different with Kamala Harris. According to an article in Politico, Harris’s office sounds like the real-life version of Veep, the HBO political satire that focused on the stupid, self-centered, and vicious Selina Meyer, a Vice President whose office was filled with slavish gatekeepers and self-centered staff, all of whom were incompetent. The story rings true. What's more interesting is contemplating why Democrats are going after Harris.
