Concerns grow over China's Taiwan plans

Concerns are growing in Washington over the possibility that China could try to invade Taiwan in the next few years. Top U.S. military officers have warned in recent months that Beijing might try to make the explosive move this decade, and recent saber rattling, including a Chinese military amphibious landing exercise near the island, is further raising the alarm. Still, the Pentagon's top general cautioned Thursday that China would find an invasion of Taiwan to be "an extraordinarily complex and difficult operation."

What difference does it make? Xiden isn't going to do jack if China invades Taiwan, and we all know it. The military is becoming a force of woke social justice warriors and is being run by a diversity tard. If China wants to move, we won't lift a finger.

The worst thing that could happen right now is that the current flock of political admirals and generals at the Pentagon, who have never won a war, underestimating the Communist Chinese ability to invade Taiwan.

My expectation is that once China, Russia and Iran can stop laughing about the stupidity of Sleepy Creepy Crooked President Uncle Joe and his bought-and-paid-for-Democrat//RINO Uniparty/US Chamber of Commerce allies, is that they will have coordinated attacks on Taiwan, Ukraine, and in the MIddle East nearly simultaenously.

If China invaded the US tomorrow, most of us are in the mood to give it to them without firing a shot. They couldn't do worse than the two nincompoops now running the country. Just like the Capitol Police opened the doors to Antifa.

Biden’s Infrastructure Proposal

President Joe Biden faces continuing resistance from Senate Democrats over his infrastructure, despite only needing 50 Senate Democrats to pass his gargantuan legislation. Biden faces two options to pass an infrastructure bill by either passing a more moderate version with a bipartisan group of Senate Republicans and Democrats that could survive the 60-vote filibuster, or he could pass the legislation with only 50 votes using budgetary reconciliation. If Biden fails to gain the support of ten Senate Republicans to pass the bill through the Senate, he will have to use reconciliation, although many Senate Democrats have balked at his mammoth proposal for its high price tag

My colleague Jennifer Oliver O’Connell reported earlier on a mass shooting in Austin, Texas, late Friday night. Fourteen people were wounded, with at least two critically-injured during a shooting in downtown Austin. Two men are suspected of being involved in the shooting, according to the initial reports; although the police later said the number was unclear, but there was a description of one of the suspect. But it’s what the Austin American-Statesman said about that suspect that is causing a lot of talk today. At the bottom of its article on the shooting, the paper included the following. Editor’s note: Police have only released a vague description of the suspected shooter

When does science cease to be science? When one stops relying on the citing of objective evidence and starts gnashing their teeth at any questioning of a specific theory. In regards to masks, we crossed that Rubicon long ago. Gov. Ron DeSantis is pushing the issue to its breaking point, requesting that the CDC has its mitigation requirements for cruise ships slapped down. Those requirements include having 95% of passengers vaccinated and mask-wearing. This is part of Florida’s larger battle against so-called vaccine passports. The judge in the case is apparently not going to let the CDC skate by.

A Black mother slammed critical race theory (CRT) on Thursday, telling the Florida Board of Education that it was teaching hate and ruining the "greatest country in the world." "Just coming off of May 31, marking the 100 years [since] the Tulsa riots, it is sad that we are even contemplating something like critical race theory, where children will be separated by their skin color and deemed permanently oppressors or oppressed in 2021," said mom Quisha King. King's comments came after Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis asked the school board to pass a rule banning CRT and associated ideas in schools.

Amid increased scrutiny of Black Lives Matter co-founder Patrisse Cullor's lavish spending, including her reported purchases of multiple homes totaling upward of $3 million and the installation of fencing and an electric gate around one of those homes, the original ten BLM chapters are demanding more accountability and transparency from the BLM global network. The BLM infighting comes on the heels of Cullors announcing she would step down from her role as the BLM foundation executive director as questions surrounding her finances swirled. Cullors, however, denied that her decision to resign had anything to do with that controversy, insisting she had planned to step away for more than a year.

Answer: He’s just not that into you. Or anyone, as Paul Farhi observes today on Twitter. Not only did Joe Biden wait longer for an open presser than any president in the past century, he’s also not doing sit-down interviews with print or TV outlets. It’s “unusual,” Farhi comments. That’s an understatement: Lest anyone get the wrong idea, Farhi isn’t a crypto-righty at the WaPo. He’s one of their media-beat reporters, which makes this issue within his wheelhouse. It’s not surprising that Farhi or someone like him would raise Biden’s reluctance to face the press in practically any format as an issue. What is surprising is that

Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey and Texas Gov. Greg Abbott sent a joint letter to the governors of the 48 other states asking them to send additional law enforcement staff and resources to help patrol their states' borders with Mexico. Ducey published a copy of the letter on Thursday afternoon, timing its publication with a border summit that Abbott kicked off in Del Rio, Texas. In their letter, both Republican governors claim the administration of President Joe Biden "has proven unwilling or unable" to secure the U.S.-Mexico border, citing a 20-year high in migrant encounters in the month of May as evidence of an "open-border disaster."
