G7 leaders were on Sunday urged to take urgent action to secure the future of the planet, as they finalised new conservation and emissions targets to curb climate change, and wrapped up a three-day summit where revived Western unity has been on show.Veteran environmentalist and broadcaster David Attenborough told the gathering of the world’s richest nations the natural world was “greatly diminished” and inequality was widespread.“The question science forces us to address specifically in 2021 is whether as a result of these intertwined facts we are on the verge of destabilising the entire planet?” he said.“If that is so, then the decisions we make this decade —

The elites are completely out of touch with 95% of people. They live in a dream world where the are powerful and everyone else is weak.
Their time is coming.

The premise of a world catastrophe caused by CO2 emissions is totally unsupported by any valid science.
There is a long history of forecasts that fail to materialize, agreements to which signators do not abide and countries that are never included.
It is time to stop the hype and fear mongering.

Crazy and yet not a one of them has the courage to make the worlds greatest polluter--- China--- clean up their mess. Instead they will be buying their dirty made goods and buying their rare earth to make batteries while China laughs at these fools all the way to the bank---------and Taiwan.

They will find plenty of excuses and exceptions to avoid actually doing anything and let the US carry the load just like in past "agreements". Previous comments are correct. This has nothing to do with climate change or what ever else they choose to call it.

Remember in the 1970s, how they scared us to death with doom and gloom stories of a predicted ice age?
The science is bought and paid for by grants that are given only to scientists and university researchers who have a bias before they even get started with their studies. Nothing "settled" about it, except that it will ruin economies and individuals' quality of life.

How about anti rioters burning down cities. I'm sure the gases and smoke from the rioters fires contribute to climate change. what about the libs who don't want maintenance of the forests? the recent firers in CAL burned for weeks. There sure was a lot of smoke there. I remember when the global warming libs would complain if a factory smoke stack had a little puff of dark smoke the libs would poop a football.

First, Attenborough is a nut.
Second, I await Merkel to present this agenda to the CEOs of Porsche, Audi, and BMW, not to mention all of those gas stations and gasthauses along the autobahn.

Ok, you G7 clowns. So that must mean you are pro-hydropower and pro-nuclear power then? Fast breeder reactors are good to go then? More river dams for generating hydropower are no problem then? You sure as shootin' won't meet power demands with your wind-powered turbines meme. Besides, it takes lots of carbon to make and maintain the turbines, idiots. Sounds like Klaus Schwab was there pushing the Great Reset?

#13, Porsche is already trying to sell their electric cars. I bought a new Cayman a few years back, so I'm on their email list and I get several sales pitches a week for their electric cars.
I have replied several times telling them that I will NEVER buy an electric car, but they persist.

The late, great Rush Limbaugh said it best nearly 30 years ago: ''We didn't make this planet and we won't be able to break it.'' Rush didn't talk much about his faith, but he made it clear to his audience who it was that DID make the planet. (I'm ever grateful for the Ldotter who named Greta Thunberg Scoldilocks.)
