Israel says it has launched air strikes against Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip, after incendiary balloons were launched from the territory.
Explosions were heard in Gaza City in the early hours of Wednesday.
Several balloons were sent from Gaza into Israel earlier on Tuesday, which caused multiple fires, according to the Israeli fire service.
It is the first major flare-up since 11 days of fighting between the two sides ended in a ceasefire on 21 May.
It followed a march by Jewish nationalists in occupied East Jerusalem on Tuesday, which had drawn threats from Hamas, the militant group that runs Gaza.

As ideological divisions wracked the Southern Baptist Convention this year ahead of a pivotal national meeting, one of the leading candidates for its presidency, Ed Litton, embraced a role as the man best equipped to build bridges and promote unity.
“From time to time, every family has disagreements and tensions,” Litton said in a campaign video. “Because we’re a family, we don’t give up on one another.”
On Tuesday he prevailed in a runoff against Georgia pastor Mike Stone to become the next leader of the United States’ largest Protestant denomination, winning about 52% of the votes among more than 15,000 delegates at a meeting roiled

Donald Trump has accepted Texas Governor Greg Abbott’s invitation to join him on an official visit to the United States’ southern border, he announced in a statement. The visit will take place Wednesday, June 30, 2021.
“The Biden Administration inherited from me the strongest, safest, and most secure border in U.S history and in mere weeks they turned it into the single worst border crisis in U.S history,” Trump said. “It’s an unmitigated disaster zone.”
“We went from detain-and-remove to catch-and-release. We went from having border security that was the envy of the world to a lawless border that is now pitied around the world. Biden and Harris

A federal judge ruled that President Joe Biden's administration's ban on new oil leases must be lifted nationwide.
Judge Terry Doughty, of the federal Western District Court of Louisiana, on Tuesday sided with 13 conservative states, led by Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry, who sued the Biden administration after it postponed nearly all previously planned sales for the right to lease federally owned land and extract the underlying oil following a January executive order issuing a pause on those sales.
Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Georgia, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Texas, Utah and West Virginia joined Louisiana in the suit.

The White House on Tuesday announced an effort to fight “misinformation,” arguing it was responsible for radicalizing domestic terrorists in the United States.
“We must work to root out the hatreds that can too often drive violence,” President Joe Biden said in a statement expressing the need to take “short-term steps to counter the very real threats of today.”
Biden and his administration plan to “counter the polarization often fueled by disinformation, misinformation, and dangerous conspiracy theories online” as part of “supporting an information environment that fosters healthy democratic discourse,” according to a fact sheet released to reporters.

AUSTIN, TX – Gov. Greg Abbott confirmed on Monday that since the Biden administration has taken over no one has reached out to the Texas Governor.
"The president hasn't called, the vice-president hasn't called," said Gov. Greg Abbott on the "Ruthless" podcast on Jun. 14. "The only person I've talked to is some folks in the department of homeland security and that was a long time ago."
Abbott claims that Texas feels like a frontier outpost and that to the Biden Administration the Texas Mexico border doesn't exist. "As we are talking today Texas has the ninth largest economy in the world,"

Producer prices rose at their fastest annual clip in nearly 11 years in May as inflation continued to build in the U.S. economy, the Labor Department reported Tuesday.
The 6.6% surge was the biggest 12-month rise in the final demand index since the Bureau of Labor Statistics began tracking the data in November 2010.
On a monthly basis, the producer price index for final demand rose 0.8%, ahead of the Dow Jones estimate of 0.5%.
Those higher price pressures came amid a pronounced dip in retail sales, which fell 1.3% in May, worse than the 0.6% estimate

exans have been unpleasantly surprised with blackout and usage warnings from ERCOT this week. That’s the Electric Reliability Council of Texas, which was no one’s friend during the great freeze back in February. Its rolling blackouts left Texans alternately freezing and fuming but not quite enough of the latter to keep our homes warm. Many had to go without heat during the worst freeze in the state in living memory. There had been colder snaps here and there through the years, but those were local. In February 2021, the entire state froze over. That demand for heat along with human errors strained and broke the grid.

UPDATED at 7:15 p.m.: Just hours after Lip Sync Battle co-host Chrissy Teigen broke her monthlong silence after bullying allegations from former reality star Courtney Stodden, another higher profile reality TV personality has accused her of a concerted campaign to ruin his career.
Michael Costello, who came in 4th place on season 8 of Project Runway and was the second runner up on Project Runway All Stars in 2012, posted a lengthy testimonial to Instagram on Monday in which he accused Teigen of a years-long effort to destroy his career.

Remember when we were assured that Joe Biden was going to bring about a return of normalcy and decorum? Yeah, good times.
That’s all gone out the window since Biden officially took office and things aren’t getting any better. When the president’s mind is not melting, he’s pushing a far-left agenda that is enough to make Bernie Sanders blush. Even still, you’d expect the partisan rantings to be few and far between while overseas at the G7, where he’s already beclowned himself multiple times throughout the last week.
Yet, because Biden is, in fact, not a return to normalcy, he launched into an embarrassing tirade against the Republican Party

President Biden on Monday claimed the Republican party is “vastly diminished in numbers” after the January 6 Capitol riot and expressed disappointment in GOP senators who “know better” than to vote against an investigation into the riot but are “worried about being primaried.” Biden’s remarks came in response to a question about whether NATO allies are shaken by the Capitol riot and the actions of former President Trump.
During a press conference after the NATO summit in Brussels, Belgium, Biden said that while other leaders may have seen things
