Disney has reportedly deleted its “diversity and inclusion” anti-racism training program following a backlash about it becoming the “wokest place on Earth.” The webpage that previously carried the much-maligned internal training documents was down this week, replaced with a “pardon our Pixie dust” message, according to Christopher Rufo, who first reported on the training forcing staff to recognize their “white privilege.”(Snip) “Disney was peddling the most toxic elements of critical race theory—and my reporting led to immediate changes within the company,” he said. His screenshot, however, showed that the page was “currently under technical maintenance for approximately 72 hours”

The New York Yankees now have seven confirmed cases of coronavirus among coaches and staff—a surprising fact given that all of the infected personnel have been vaccinated. Pitching coach Matt Blake was the latest to be diagnosed with COVID-19, following third-base coach Phil Nevin, first-base coach Reggie Willits, and four unidentified staffers. All seven received the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, which requires only a single shot, as opposed to the two-injection vaccines from pharmaceutical companies like Moderna and Pfizer. New York shortstop Gleyber Torres has not tested positive, but was held out of Wednesday's 1-0 win in Tampa

A uniformed NYPD cop was shot three times—including once in the bulletproof vest—during a shootout with a known gang member in Brooklyn on Wednesday night, police said. The incident unfolded around 11:15 p.m. at Macon Street and Howard Avenue in Bushwick, when two police officers and a sergeant assigned to the 81st Precinct were inside an unmarked car when they spotted a man “walking briskly” and “blading his body,” Police Commissioner Dermot Shea said at a morning press conference. The officers got out of the car to investigate—at which time the man pulled “a firearm, turns on the officers and begins to shoot

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio has a plan for getting the Big Apple fully vaccinated: french fries and burgers. The Democrat touted a partnership with Shake Shack that uses greasy treats to get people in line for COVID-19 shots. “I want you to look at this and think about, again, some people love hamburgers, some don’t. I really want to respect all ways of life, but if this is appealing to you, just think of this when you think of vaccination,” Mr. de Blasio said during a Thursday press conference.(Snip) “Mmm, vaccination,” the mayor added while biting into a burger.

Sen. Bernard Sanders wants more free lunches in the massive infrastructure plan Congress is writing—and this time he means it literally. Mr. Sanders’ plan would continue to give free meals to all schoolchildren, as the federal government has been doing during the COVID-19 pandemic, even if their parents are wealthy enough to pay for the meals. “In the richest country in the world, it is an outrage that millions of children struggle with hunger every day,” said Mr. Sanders, a democratic socialist from Vermont who is chairman of the Senate Budget Committee.(Snip)The federal government spent $18.7 billion on school meals in 2019,

Kamala Harris' niece has raised eyebrows with an Instagram post urging people who care about LGBT rights and women's issues to defend Palestine—despite the country's rulers being among the most repressive in the world.
Meena Harris, a 36-year-old lawyer and businesswoman, on Wednesday night shared her opinions, re-posting a widely-shared image discussing the ongoing conflict between Israel and Palestine.(Snip) Harris commented alongside the post: 'If you are neutral in situations of injustice, you have chosen the side of the oppressor. I stand in solidarity with the Palestinian residents of Sheikh Jarrah.' Harris's activism did not sit well with many.

President Joe Biden on Wednesday said 'I'm not supposed to be answering all these questions' during an exchange with reporters. After delivering remarks on coronavirus vaccinations and taking a couple of questions about rising gas prices and violence in the Middle East, Biden went to walk away from the podium but was asked by a member of the press about one of his meetings that day. The president turned and responded: 'Which one of the 12 I've had?' As both the president and White House press corps laugh, the reporter responds: 'Infrastructure sir.' Biden replies: 'You guys are bad, I'm not supposed to be answering

New York—New York City will continue to restrict use of plastic straws after the city council passed a new measure restricting their use in restaurants, bars and markets. The legislation, first introduced by Councilmember Rafael Espinal in 2018, bans the provision of single-use plastic stirrers and “splash sticks” of any kind, in addition to the limitation of straws. Beginning Nov. 1, places like restaurants, cafes, bars, grocery stores, delis and food trucks can no longer provide single-use plastic straws unless they actively request one. In that case, establishments will be required to provide a plastic straw free of charge, no questions asked.

Sundays may not be the only time customers aren't able to get their fix of Chick-fil-A sauce, as the fast food chain is rationing their sauces due to 'industry-wide shortages.' Some customers recently received an email from the chain, which reads, 'Due to industry-wide shortages, we are currently limiting the number of sauces provided.' The email, which was obtained by WTRF, states that customers will be limited to one sauce per entrée, two sauces per meal, and three sauces for a 30-count of nuggets. A statement further explains that there are 'supply chain disruptions' affecting the entire industry.

Now that’s a million-dollar shot in the arm. Ohio governor Mike DeWine introduced Wednesday a state lottery to motivate residents of the Buckeye state to get vaccinated. The drawing is open to adults who have received at least their first dose of the vaccine. “This announcement will occur each Wednesday for five weeks, and the winner each Wednesday will receive one million dollars,” he tweeted. “I know that some may say, ‘DeWine, you’re crazy! This million-dollar drawing idea of yours is a waste of money,” the governor tweeted Wednesday. “But truly, the real waste at this point in the pandemic

The black dad-of-seven—who was shot dead last month when sheriff's deputies surrounded his car in Elizabeth City, North Carolina—had a rap sheet dating back to his teens and spent at least eight stints behind bars. Court documents seen by DailyMail.com reveal he faced more than 100 charges over three decades, ranging from misdemeanors for breaking and entering, making threats and assault with a deadly weapon, to six felony drug convictions.

Some might say, Mike, if this experimental gene therapy is so desirable and so necessary, why are you bribing people to roll the dice and take it?
