"Power to the People" was a chant used by anti-war and civil rights protesters in the '60s. John Lennon wrote a song with that title in 1971. The idea flowed from the Preamble to the U.S. Constitution which begins, "We the people." The concept behind that phrase was that the people, not the government, are sovereign and the government's power is granted to it by the governed. That has been reversed in our day as government has become evermore powerful, some would argue dictatorial, as demonstrated by restrictions on our liberties with the COVID-19 virus used as the excuse.

“You’re ranting again.” — Dr. Anthony Fauci “I’m not ranting.” — U.S. Rep. Jim Jordan “Yes, you are.” — Fauci Of course Jim Jordan was ranting. That’s what the Republican congressman from Urbana does. His exertions at a hearing Thursday of the U.S. House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Crisis even earned him a gaveling from the Democratic chairman of the committee when he exceeded his time limit and an admonition from another Democratic member “to respect the chair and shut your mouth.” Still, he persisted and eventually got Fauci to provide useful parameters for assessing whether and when measures intended to limit

Brearley is a private all-girls school on the Upper East Side of Manhattan in New York City. Tuition costs $54,000 a year and prospective families apparently have to take an “anti-racism pledge” to be considered for admission. However, one family has had enough of the indoctrination machine and penned an eloquent letter explaining their reason for removing their daughter.(Snip). In short, we no longer believe that Brearley’s administration and Board of Trustees have any of our children’s best interests at heart.(Snip) It cannot be stated strongly enough that Brearley’s obsession with race must stop.

Hundreds of corporations, including Starbucks, Amazon, and Netflix, have signed a letter signaling their opposition to election integrity efforts in numerous states, promising to oppose any related legislation they deem “discriminatory.” The effort, led by former American Express chief executive Kenneth Chenault and Merck chief executive Kenneth Frazier, both of whom recently led a group of black business leaders urging corporations to take a stand against election integrity efforts,(Snip)“Voting is the lifeblood of our democracy,” the statement continues, calling on Americans to take a “nonpartisan stand for this most basic and fundamental right of all Americans.”

The former director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Dr. Robert Redfield, believes the SARS-CoV-2 virus originated in the Wuhan Institute of Virology. If Dr. Redfield is correct--and he almost certainly is--then Dr. Anthony Fauci of the National Institutes of Health must assume significant responsibility for a global pandemic that has killed over half-a-million Americans, kicked tens of millions of Americans to the unemployment curb and drained trillions of dollars of wealth from the American economy.(Snip)In 2017, without sufficient warning to the Trump White House, Dr, Fauci and his NIH colleague Dr. Francis Collins re-authorized

Donica Thomas Varner, currently General Counsel at Oberlin College, has been appointed the General Counsel of Cornell University, it was just announced. Varner is the General Counsel of Oberlin College and was responsible for overseeing the Gibson’s Bakery litigation. Varner became infamous for an email she sent between the compensatory and punitive phases. We covered it in Oberlin College mass email criticizing Jurors could influence Punitive Damages Hearing in Gibson’s Bakery case: The statement was contained in a mass email sent to alumni (and possibly others) criticizing the jury verdict and repeating the same stale defenses that failed at trial (emphasis added):

In a double-barreled blast at the coronavirus crisis, Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene today offered bills to ban COVID-19 vaccination mandates such as those called for in vaccine “passport” proposals and to fire Dr. Anthony Fauci.(Snip)In the Republican lawmaker's “We Will Not Comply” proposal, Greene would bar federal funding to any business or school that requires a vaccination or a mask. She said that vaccinations can be discriminatory against those who choose not to receive them, including those who cite religious objections.(Snip)The “Fire Fauci” legislation would cut the doctor’s pay to zero until a replacement is approved. He currently is the top paid federal worker at $434,312.

After months of speculation, today The Washington Post confirmed that the Biden regime is developing a “vaccine passport” that Americans may need to present to prove they have received their COVID-19 vaccine before they will be allowed to engage in commerce in a “return to normalcy” that looks nothing like the past.(Snip)The left wing newspaper also believes that the vaccines can be used to bully skeptical Americans into taking the controversial vaccines.(Snip)However, the Biden regime apparently wants this pressure to come entirely in the form of corporate interests requiring vaccines, and does not want to use the weight of the federal government to require the vaccine passports.

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) likened basic election integrity measures embraced by several states, such as voter ID, to the era of Jim Crow and accused the GOP of attempting to suppress voters.(Snip)Speaking to his colleagues during the hearing, Schumer blasted Republican state legislatures, such as Georgia’s, for pursuing basic election integrity measures, calling it “infuriating” and accusing Republicans of being “afraid” of democracy and trying to prevent people from voting.(Snip)“The laws, their various cousins in Republican state legislatures across the country, are one of the greatest threats we have to modern democracy in America,” Schumer declared before citing the Washington Post:

Close your eyes and think back to a time in which you, your kids, or any other loved one received a vaccine.(Snip)People are being misled into believing they're virtuous and brave for taking a highly experimental vaccine that was hastily conceived and is the first mRNA vaccine ever distributed. We don't know what negative effects the vaccine will have on our bodies. We don't know if there will be side-effects or the possibility of death later on.(Snip)Ask yourself this: if the vaccine is truly normal, safe, and effective, would they really have to do all that they're doing to convince us?

During his confirmation hearing, now-Penatgon chief Lloyd Austin vowed to purge “ideological enemies...within our own ranks.” Wasting little time, he ordered a military-wide “stand down” to address extremism within our nation’s armed forces.(Snip) Apparently, some military members view the events at the Capitol on January 6th and the year-long BLM/antifa rioting, looting, vandalism, arson, and murder as equally problematic. This reportedly “worries” Pentagon officials.(Snip)Of course federal facilities, from ICE facilities to courthouses, were and continue to be targeted by BLM/antifa anarchists, but that’s different. They are protesting a righteous cause and thus not extremist. Or something.
