The climate crisis demands a

Climate change is not an isolated crisis — it is a symptom of our economic system. That system has jeopardized the future of life on this planet. (Snip) It is important that we understand climate change as a byproduct of an economic system based on extraction, exploitation, accumulation through dispossession — and racism. It threatens everyone’s physical health, mental health, air, quality, water access, food systems and shelter and the very land that holds our communities. But it affects some of us much more than others.Extreme weather events like the most recent arctic freeze that struck Texas, Arizona, Oklahoma, Tennessee

Comments:

Basically every gripe and complaint can be tied to 'climate change'. And we need to throw out capitalism to fix everything.

Yo, Collete - - I can really dig where your coming from. It's time to totally reject white male culture. So - - from now on - - don't use a computer - - because it's a white male invention. And also - - don't ride in a car or a bus or on a train or in a plane - - they're also the result of white male extrapolation. And don't use indoor plumbing, or watch a television, or movies, or listen to a radio, or to recorded music - - that's all white male cultural extrapolation. And don't use a washing machine, drying machine, microwave, dishwasher, central eating, or air conditioning - - those are big-time white male exploitations. And don't wear clothes made on automatic looms - - or read anything which comes off a printing press - - very bad white male stuff. And don't take aspirin, or vaccines, or use disinfectants, or take X-rays, CAT scans, sonograms, or mammograms - - also very bad white male stuff. Stone Age hunter-gathering - - that's the ticket! That'll show how you truly reject white male culture! I'll meet you down by the creek - - we can haul water up the hill together.

Another episode of fake news. I am waiting to wake up and find out the sun, moon and stars are racist, along with trees and birds. The left and globalists are only interested in destroying our country and economy so they can control all aspects of our lives while enriching themselves. Of course, they are exempt from the rules and horrible outcomes they hoist upon everyone else. But they 'cared'. They care about 'climate' about as much as they care about the middle class, minorities or the unborn. All of their faux causes /buzz words are just a means to achieve their desired evil outcome.

More than five million people, or nearly 8 percent of those who got a first shot of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines, have missed their second doses, according to the most recent data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. That is more than double the rate among people who got inoculated in the first several weeks of the nationwide vaccine campaign. As India announced grim records — the highest daily coronavirus infection tallies in a single country — Americans were enjoying a spring of vaccine abundance. In India, just 1.4 percent of the population has been fully vaccinated, and overwhelmed hospitals have been running short of oxygen. Meanwhile, in the United States — where 1 in 4 Americans are fully vaccinated and more than 40 percent have gotten at least the first dose — a major Miami hospital, Jackson Memorial, said it would begin winding down vaccinations because of excess supply and weakening demand. In Michigan, health workers are rolling out shots to high school

A group almost 40 Democratic lawmakers are asking President Joe Biden to overhaul the unemployment system by permanently enacting some pandemic-relief measures, such as allowing gig-economy workers to continue collecting jobless benefits. Wind and solar energy are both essentially obsolete technologies. There is a reason why only the very rich or the very adventurous sail across oceans: the wind is unreliable, and at best produces relatively little energy. Nevertheless, liberals have concocted fantasies whereby all of our electricity, or perhaps our entire economy, will be powered by those fickle sources. There are a number of reasons why this will never happen, but a paper published last week by Center of the American Experiment argues that land use constraints are the most basic reason why wind and solar are inexorably destined to fail. It’s inappropriate when you’re speaking to a crowd and you’re the only one who laughs. n the debate over whether one should or should not get the COVID vaccination, much has been said about the “science.” However, I’m not sure any encyclopedic knowledge of “science” is required to make this health decision. Simple statistical analysis should suffice to inform one’s ultimate decision. Statistics is primarily a study of probabilities. Fortunately, as regards COVID mortality rates, these probabilities are now known. That is, COVID mortality statistics broken down by age cohorts are now “known knowables.” For example, through statistics as of April 7, the odds an American under the age of 25 would die from COVID were 1-in-106,217.
