Only invited members of Congress will be allowed to attend President Biden's address to a Joint Session of Congress on Wednesday, and the event "will be invitation-only for a limited number of members of Congress," according to a memo from acting House Sergeant at Arms Timothy Blodgett. Any members who have not received an invite from their congressional leadership "will not be permitted in the Capitol after 5 p.m.," according to the memo obtained by CBS News. No republicans. That’s one way to keep the booing and cat-calling off the networks. I can’t believe how quickly we have descended into a banana republic.

Any republican who shows up for this should lose any committee position they have and be primaried at their next election. Republicans have to stick together and quit trying to get along with marxists.

Aren't they all vaccinated? Seems very fishy as to why this would be invite only, which I presume NO Republican will be on such a list. If any are, they should decline. They want to either humiliate you, or make it seem they have bipartisan support.

So its like Brezhnev speaking to the Communist Politburo. Only those agreeing and applauding his every word allowed. Dissidents will be disappeared. See those incarcerated for Jan 6 , pulled from their homes and waiting hearings. The President i to give an accounting to Congress(State of the Union) to Congress ...all of Congress. He could send a letter (Jefferson) or speak as every other President has done. This chosen few stuff is cr@p.

So let me work on this. In the United States of America ELECTED members of Congress are not allowed to attend a Presidential address to a JOINT SESSION OF CONGRESS unless the President likes them ? What about Supreme Court Justices ? Are they in need of an invitation from King Joe ? Does King Joe not understand the Constitution and separation of powers? Ooops, silly question I know.

Then it is not an address to congress but one to sycophant's and fellow travelers. I imagine they have already adjusted his sleep cycle so he can stay up late enough without nodding off or going to crazy land in his speech. Figure this will be half an hour speech at most. Doesn't matter since I will not watch.

Since Pelosi and Schumer will decide who gets in to watch Biden read his speech from a teleprompter, and since everything Pelosi and Schumer do is political, you would have to be pretty stupid to define that gathering as a joint session of Congress, especially as most members of Congress will not even be allowed to enter the Capitol building while Biden is hanging out there.

When Johnny Cochran defended Michael Jackson aka the Fentanyl kid, Cochran, in his opening statement, told the jury that 'you will hear Michael, in his own words, explain the situation.' Everyone one, including the jury members, perked up, believing Michael Jackson would take the stand in his own defense. Instead, Cochran played a tape of Michael's appearance on Oprah. And Michael did not take the stand. Nothing in this article says Dementia Jo will appear, in person, in the House chamber. A video will allow his handlers to edit the tape, as they try to make sense out of his gibberish. And Dementia Jo will not have to shuffle down the aisle. They can photoshop that.

Wind and solar energy are both essentially obsolete technologies. There is a reason why only the very rich or the very adventurous sail across oceans: the wind is unreliable, and at best produces relatively little energy. Nevertheless, liberals have concocted fantasies whereby all of our electricity, or perhaps our entire economy, will be powered by those fickle sources. There are a number of reasons why this will never happen, but a paper published last week by Center of the American Experiment argues that land use constraints are the most basic reason why wind and solar are inexorably destined to fail. n the debate over whether one should or should not get the COVID vaccination, much has been said about the “science.” However, I’m not sure any encyclopedic knowledge of “science” is required to make this health decision. Simple statistical analysis should suffice to inform one’s ultimate decision. Statistics is primarily a study of probabilities. Fortunately, as regards COVID mortality rates, these probabilities are now known. That is, COVID mortality statistics broken down by age cohorts are now “known knowables.” For example, through statistics as of April 7, the odds an American under the age of 25 would die from COVID were 1-in-106,217.
