Three major metro counties announced curfews Monday afternoon, a day after Daunte Wright was shot and killed by police in Brooklyn Center.
According to Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, a curfew from 7 p.m. Monday to 6 a.m. Tuesday has been put in place for Hennepin, Ramsey and Anoka counties.
Prior to the governor's announcement, Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey and St. Paul Mayor Melvin Carter issued a 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. curfew for their cities as well.

Still haven't heard what Daunte's outstanding warrant was for. Attempted murder or possession of pot ? Failure to appear on a traffic ticket or failure to appear on domestic violence. I will give the cops the benefit of the doubt until I have more info ( ahem Chief of Police)

When stopped by the police.....starting a fight is not going to have a good outcome, EVER. If you are lucky, you will be alive, beaten up and have more legal troubles ahead than you started with. If you are unlucky, or fight hard enough, you could wind up in a box in the ground for your efforts.
Mr. Wright made a really serious error in judgement. Probably not his first.

Daunte resisted arrest, tried getting away from the cops, has a video posted online of him smoking a blunt and waving a handgun in front of the camera, had a warrant for his arrest for, I believe, for an armed robbery or some such charge, and thought he could get away. He is above the law don't you know. Live by the gun die by the gun. Not that he deserved to die but apparently the lady cop fired her gun by mistake. So be prepared for an out-of-court wrongful death settlement with his family in the area of $20 to $50 million. Baby momma and baby daddy gonna be getting brand new Cadillacs as soon as the check clears and a ticket to Vegas. Now they can afford to get new linoleum on the kitchen floor.

Totally absurd to shut down 3 counties. People need to get their lives back from these tyrants.

The officer who shot him shouted "Taser! taser!" then shot him and said, "Holy s***! I just shot him!" This is all on the officer's body cam.
It was an accidental discharge, she meant to taser him. Taser would be justified in this situation, deadly force definitely not. She needs to be summarily discharged. This is not the kind of "mistake" police officers can make.

Am I the only person on the planet that knows that the government cannot impose a curfew on sovereign American adults? They have no constitutional authority to do this. Wake up America. This is tyranny through and through. Time to water the tree of Liberty.
think it's time to water the tree of Liberty.

This is not the first time a sidearm was fired ion place of a taser.
Simple solution - position the taser away from the sidearm and change the feel of the taser grip. Putitng the taser lose to the sidearm is stupid.
The dead lad was out without bail, for armed robbery, by the way..

Early model Tasers looked and felt much like a flashlight, purely straight handle, NO pistol grip.
Later models were modified to have a pistol grip, clearly a serious problem.
But, this is ultimately a training issue.

Even COVID appointments are canceled - and all sporting events. He should not have been shot, but does the whole city need to tremble in fear now? I cannot confirm it but heard there were 4 warrants for his arrest.

Blacks won't follow the curfew, just like they don't follow the gun laws
