The Biden administration is spending at least $60 million per week to house the more than 16,000 migrant minors in its care, according to a report. That funding, which amounts to $3.1 billion per year, is used to care for children in facilities run by the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) after they’ve been transferred from Border Patrol. Those costs are expected to rise dramatically over the coming months, according to a Washington Post analysis. That's about four times the $760 million FY2020 budget for the Small Business Administration, and four times a similar amount allotted to the SBA that year to assist small businesses

President Biden's White House has close ties to a left-wing dark money group that seeks to expand the Supreme Court. Both White House press secretary Jen Psaki and Paige Herwig, Biden's point person on judicial nominations, previously worked for Demand Justice, which is part of a massive dark money network, the Sixteen Thirty Fund.
Demand Justice is open about seeking to overhaul the federal court system to advance progressive goals. "They want to add seats to the Supreme Court, they want to add term limits for justices, they want to overhaul it and swing not just the Supreme Court but all levels of the judiciary more progressive," Caitlin Sutherland, executive director

Republican Gov. Greg Abbott demanded that the White House close a San Antonio facility housing migrant children Wednesday following allegations that children there were being sexually assaulted. During a Wednesday evening press conference, Abbott said he received tips that alleged the children at the Freeman Coliseum facility were being sexually abused and were not eating enough. "These problems are a byproduct of President Biden’s open border policies and the lack of planning for the fallout for those disastrous policies," Abbott told reporters.

Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, D-N.Y., is getting flak after she tweeted examples of infrastructure that seemed to stretch the meaning of the word. Merriam-Webster's dictionary defines infrastructure as "the system of public works of a country, state, or region," "the resources (such as personnel, buildings, or equipment) required for an activity," "the underlying foundation or basic framework (as of a system or organization)," or "the permanent installations required for military purposes." Politically, it is often considered to refer to transportation, roads, bridges and items of that nature. "Paid leave is infrastructure. Child care is infrastructure. Caregiving is infrastructure," Gillbrand tweeted Wednesday morning.

In his exclusive interview on Fox Nation's "Tucker Carlson Today," U.K. journalist Piers Morgan compared Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex, to Disney's Pinocchio, and said she and Prince Harry are willfully maligning the future kings of England.
"There are so many ridiculous whoppers in this interview [with Oprah Winfrey], that frankly, in the end, saying I would believe her would be like saying I believe Pinocchio," he said, referring to the Italian puppet whose wooden nose grew when he lied.

President Biden, a Roman Catholic, did not mention Jesus or Christ a single time in his Easter remarks on Monday. The nation celebrated Easter Sunday this past weekend, a time around America where Christians – such as Biden – celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. Traditionally, the president gives an Easter address on that Sunday to commemorate the holiday and Jesus. Biden’s most recent predecessors, former President Barack Obama and former President Donald Trump, had each mentioned Jesus Christ in their messages. Biden, however, broke this streak on Sunday in his remarks from the White House Blue Room balcony. CORRECTION*

People are pretty upset after Coca-Cola recently told their employees to "Be less white" during a diversity training program. But it's not the first time the company has misfired on racial issues. Back in the mid-20th century Coca-Cola collaborated with Nazis to create a soft drink brand you're probably still well familiar with today. Timeline.com reports: In 1933, the year Adolf Hitler took power in Germany, Coca-Cola’s local unit sold 100,000 cases. The subsidiary’s finances were in shambles, however. CORRECTIONS*

While recently touting his infrastructure plan, President Biden griped "the wealthiest 1% of Americans saw their net worth increase by $4 trillion," he then ripped loopholes and deductions corporations used to dodge taxes. But a blistering letter from the leader of a House conservative caucus regarding Biden’s own tax loopholes could foreshadow what Republicans will include in their oversight agenda should they flip the House of Representatives in 2022.
"House Democrats used their oversight power to subpoena Trump for his tax returns, but they’ve completely ignored Joe Biden’s abuse of our tax code,"

Republican Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., and Rep. Dan Crenshaw, R-Texas, hit President Biden and Major League Baseball for the league's decision to boycott Georgia over its election law -- and asking if that hard stance will be extended to the Chinese Communist regime. MLB announced this week it would be relocating its All-Star Game and MLB draft in response to the state’s election law, which Republicans have said will restore faith in the state’s elections, but Democrats have alleged will restrict voting access.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., was among the least effective members of the last Congress, according to a new survey from the nonpartisan Center for Effective Lawmaking — a joint project of Vanderbilt University and the University of Virginia. Ocasio-Cortez introduced a total of 21 bills that the center defined as "substantive" — but that is where the story ends. Her legislation received no action in committees, no floor votes, and none ever became law, according to the center, which takes its data from Congress.gov.

What could be the nation’s first commercial advanced nuclear power reactor would be built and operated near Richland under a partnership agreement signed Thursday. X-energy, of Rockville, Maryland, will work with Energy Northwest of Richland and Grant County PUD to develop, build and operate an 80-megawatt reactor, the Xe-100, on land already leased by Energy Northwest at the Hanford nuclear reservation in Eastern Washington. Advanced reactors are intended to be designed with enhanced safety features and a smaller footprint for their modular design concept. Their smaller size and ability to quickly ramp up and down makes them a perfect complement to intermittent renewable resources CORRECTIONS*

First Lady Jill Biden visited Delano, California this week to say a few words of praise to a group of local farmworkers in honor of civil rights activist César Chávez’s birthday, but her inclusion of the United Farm Workers’ motto ‘sí se puede’ has been earning her flack ever since for her mispronunciation of the final word. Clips of the event recorded by journalists have earned millions of views across Twitter, where a growing number quickly flocked to proclaim that former FLOTUS Melania Trump would never have made such an error and repeating her previously stated claim that she speaks five languages (Italian, French, German, Slovene, and English

However, Biden did remember the Easter Bunny.
