In modern America, we periodically offer up white men as human sacrifices to the PC gods. Among our benefactions: Jake Gardner, Kyle Rittenhouse, Darren Wilson, the Duke lacrosse players, University of Virginia fraternity members, Stacey Koon and Mark Fuhrman.
The rest of us just keep our heads down and pray we won’t be next.
At least the Duke and UVA human offerings were sufficiently upper-crust to have a few journalists and lawyers defending them. But policemen, bar owners, military veterans and a Midwest teenager? Definitely not our crowd, darling.
Currently, Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin is on trial for killing George Floyd by kneeling on his neck,(Snip) It’s why America had to burn

Things we won’t read or here:
This trial is a total sham, but the entire power of the state, the media, the left-wing shock troops and the country’s finest legal talent is being deployed against Derek Chauvin.
In addition to Minnesota’s top prosecutor, the state has hired Neal Katyal, former solicitor general of the United States — an unheard-of maneuver in a case that doesn’t involve some highly technical specialty, like antitrust. A slew of lawyers are working pro bono for the prosecutor — also unheard of. The state has unlimited resources to pursue Chauvin.
Against this, Chauvin has one lone defense attorney, Eric “Atticus Finch” Nelson.
And the legal fund for Chauvin’s defense? $1 million. Know how long that lasts? Pfffft.

The racist subhuman thugs of BLM and Antifa do not want "justice" in this case. They want a lynching of a cop!!!!! And even that wouldn't satisfy their lust for racist destruction!!!
And it really won't matter. In Minneapolis, and all other Demon-Rat hell-holes of cities, the BLM and Antifa thugs will riot, loot, kill, and burn no matter what the outcome of the trial is. It's what they do best, and they really don't need an excuse. So whether it's anger over an innocent verdict, or celebration over a guilty verdict, these Demon-Rat run cities will burn!!!!

And yet in the end it will depend on the common sense and courage of 12 ordinary American citizens. This is a classic test of how far our culture has eroded. Anyone who has seen the classic "12 Angry Men" will remember how one skeptical American juror, Henry Fonda, convinced a lazy and racist juror, played by Lee J. Cobb, to see the facts differently and acquit a black suspect. The legal test is guilt beyond a reasonable doubt. Can anyone who sees the totality of the bodycam video and understands the toxicology report not have a reasonable doubt that Derek Chauvin intentionally murdered George Floyd? Are there still Americans with the courage to trust their common sense and not fall victim to the mob mentality that is pressuring them to convict?

So far, Chauvin’s lawyer has been a huge disappointment. He will have a strong argument for a mistrial assuming he can find a lawyer that would take his case.

No matter which way this trial goes, Derek Chauvin's life is over. If he is convicted and goes to prison, he will be physically and sexually assaulted on a daily basis and eventually murdered. The safest place for him in prison would be eternal solitary confinement. If he is exonerated, he will need maximum protection in order to have time to strip himself of his identity--destruction of SSN, e-mail accounts, bank accounts, social media accounts, and credit cards. He will need to completely change his appearance as well as his name and seek asylum in another country. He will totally need to "go away." Of course, he could have a sex change operation and join the women in prison. At least he would still have a hormonal and physical advantage over them.

If the US Supreme Court can be cowed by media threats of progressive violence, how can one expect 12 citizen jurors to render a impartial verdict, fair to the accused?

This won't be the first sacrifice made in history to appease the mob.
Remember during the Boer War 1899-1902, "Breaker" Morant was sacrificed for the good of England & the Dutch.

The Defense has not called any witnesses yet. While I have no idea if Chauvin broke policy that day, there are good reasons why the police were wary of George Floyd. Most of those reasons have not yet been discussed in court under direct examination.

If Chauvin is exonerated he is going to have to go into a witness protection program because the lynch mob is going to try to take him out. It's a sad day here in the US when you can't get justice because half the country hates justice right now. If you stand up for what's right, you either get cancelled, fired from your job, or disparaged publicly. If you try to do the right thing like DeSantis, they try to destroy him. If you pass a bill to keep out voter fraud, they try to pull out of your state to make you pay dearly for doing the right thing. It's getting really sick and evil.

The lack of humanity on Chauvin’s part to get some medical assistance while he was dying is on full display. He may not have intentionally murdered George Floyd, but he did absolutely nothing to prolong his life. A cruel man. Definitely a manslaughter conviction, and rightly so. He alone made all police have a target on his back.
