A statement from Kathryn Limbaugh and family said Rush Hudson Limbaugh III was honorably laid to rest Wednesday in St. Louis, with close immediate family in attendance. There will be additional celebrations of Rush's life to come both virtually and in his home town of Cape Girardeau, the statement said.

May the Angels and Saints in Heaven welcome this new Saint into their midst.
And may the Great Comforter provide solace and peace to his family and friends.
Or, as we Irish used to say, May you be in Heaven an hour before the devil knows you're dead.

This was so like Rush! No flashy Funeral with Hundreds of Big Shots, Hollywood Types and Politicians all in attendance. No huge reception. Just a small, private funeral for a Great Man who loved his country! Our Flag is still lowered. Not sure our neighbors like it as they flew theirs upside down during Trump's term in office. So, I could care less if they like it!! Also, I think Kathryn Limbaugh is a very Classy Lady who has handled this sad event with grace and poise! My Heart goes out to her.

Just a pic, no further info and I have questions.
It looks like a military service, flag on the casket, uniformed Marine (?). Who would
authorize such a thing? Why would it be afforded to Rush?
And most puzzling, St. Louis? Rush's childhood home of Cape Girardeau is a hundred miles down
river. I am unaware of any ties he had to St.Louis. Our local media have always been quick to
note and national attention here, I've never heard any Rush mentions as such, any time. And, I won't
go into specifics, but I've gotten the impression over the years that Rush was somewhat at odds
with St. Louis.
Could be misdirection by the family, whatever, but something is not right.

RIP to a pioneer of broadcasting. So many owe their jobs to his trailblazing in the business, I hope they are at least respectful about that. God's peace to Katherine and his family, for they have to be hurting right now. We miss you deeply Rush, but now you get to meet the Being who gave you your talent that you blessed all of us with.

I hope that the location of his grave is kept secret. Otherwise the angry, bitter, evil, lying leftists will destroy it.

According to the caption under the photo, Bellefontaine Cemetery is "a historic cemetery in St. Louis where many other famous Missourians have been laid to rest."
It seems that such a place might have security not available in Cape Girardeau. Or accommodations for visitors who surely will come to honor our beloved friend.

The incredible value of Rush can be seen in the enormous hole in the 12 to 3 pm eastern radio slot he filled so incredibly well. These 3 hours a day need to be filled but by whom is the question. We need someone to both expose the delusional policies of the Demoncrats and most importantly, explain what our country is and what it should continue to be. Rush did both so well and for so long that we at times assumed that he would always be there for us. May EIB quickly find a replacement for this remarkably gifted American voice.

Said a few good things here and there but, sorry, a hypocrite in spades. His "formerly nicotine-stained" fingers killed him. His (7?) wives enjoyed his BROADcasts about life among the BABES and he's just another rich mouthpiece that can't eat anymore, let alone ride the American Pony into the sunset.

Further investigation into Bellfontaine Cemetery indicates it is indeed the resting place for many noted Missourians. 87,000 are buried there, 100 new each year. I can't speak to its exclusive access, in fact, just the opposite I'd guess. A terrible part of the metro area, a bit north and west from downtown. A stone's throw from Ferguson which itself is surrounded by historically black, high crime smaller communities. BC is bordered to the south by North St.Louis, east and south are old small business/industry relics.
If Rush chose this cemetery, I'd guess it's an acknowledgement of Missouri's importance to him.
If you know where the grave site is, I'd recommend not visiting.

I hope his Golden Microphone will be displayed at The Smithsonian. The micrphone is an Electro-Voice RE-20. A fine micropone. I own one, but it's not golden. The head of EV hade it made many years ago and if memory hasn't failed me, I believe 2 Golden Mics were made and presented to Rush. Rest in Peace, dear Rush. That particular Microphone had more words of wisdom passed on than any other RE-20.

Is the link to the Cemetery. Among those buried there are William Clark (of Lewis & Clark) and Adolphus Busch (Budweiser). The Limbaugh grave is not in the data base.

I'm not surprised by the private funeral. There would have been thousands of Rush fans there, and probably thousands more along the route. My only concern is that once Rush's final resting place is revealed, the scum will destroy it and deface it. I really thought he would have been buried in his hometown.

#10 Rush was on the board of directors of the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation for many years. He gave millions to it. The marine salute is very deserving.

God speed, Mr. Limbaugh. Exaggerating the absurd was my favorite bit. Feminazis and handing out condoms in schools still crack me up today. 1950's Principal "We found a condom in your gym locker." Johnny: "Please don't tell my parents". 1990's Principal "We didn't find a condom in your gym locker. Here. Take this one ... and don't tell your parents".

Thank you #29. This is not the place to ever speak against El Rushbo. This is a place where if someone is stupid enough to do so, it will be swiftly smacked down.
The sight of Rush’s flag-draped coffin, the dignified ceremony and military honor guard
brought all the tears back, didn’t it? I will never stop missing him, and never stop thanking God for all those years we had him. I smile to think of him now pain-free, looking handsome walking around meeting all those American patriots of the past. Enjoy walking the streets of Glory, dearest Rush Limbaugh.

Marine standing honor guard. As a Medal of Freedom recipient, Rush Limbaugh was entitled to full honors at his burial.
