(Holding up The Limbaugh Letter) This is the Limbaugh Letter and it says “God is with me.” And Rush is on the cover. (Applause) Thank you very much for this recognition in honor of our wonderful Rush. And thank you for all the prayers we’ve received throughout this year. Rush’s passing is not only a loss for me and our family. It is a significant loss for our nation. (Applause)

Based on Rush's happiness once Kathryn came into his life, we can safely say that she is a woman of grace and loveliness. Now that we have "met" her in a couple of venues now, that impression is correct. May God bless and comfort her and Rush's family, and his staff which brilliantly kept the show on track through this horrendous year. Missing Rush.

I truly miss Rush. There is no way anyone can take his place. I feel it is time to say goodbye and let his show stop. There will be no other that can take his place. It is time to say goodbye and move on. Don't get me wrong, he should be remembered and he will. He is one of the great.

It's only been a couple weeks since Rush's passing and Kathryn's strength is amazing. I know why Rush married her. God Bless Kathryn and Rush.

I wondered how the things would continue after Rush's passing. In true show-biz form, for now it appeas "the show must go on" with guest hosts who take calls, present the news of the day, and snippets of Rush from over 32 years of broadcasting serve as a sort of a 'final exam' of the thoughts, teachings, and bedrock principles the college of "Advanced Conservative Studies" have covered over three decades. I have continued to listen and laugh as the "Best of" segments come back to mind. Just the other day Rush's term "new castratti" came up. One of my favorites was "Der Schlikmeister".... even now, years later, these pole fun and reaffirm Rush's brilliance. He was quite brash with humor like a "shock jock" in the early years, but the last 10 years with Kathryn really mellowed him out as he found the love of an amazing wife.

After all these years , it's going to be difficult to find a replacement for the noon to three block of time. For the millions of us that counted on him to provide that fifteen hours per week , it is going to be difficult. I , too, think that we have to move on but a few months of 'easing' into it would be appreciated.

Even before President Biden’s new $1.9 trillion COVID “stimulus” package goes into effect, multiple news stories make clear the flaws in its approach. All over the country, there are businesses, schools, and churches that are still not allowed to reopen, but it’s a different story at migrant shelters. The CDC is now bending the rules to allow these shelters to operate at full capacity. Stef W. Kight reports at Axios: CDC lets child migrant shelters fill to 100% despite COVID concern. The Centers for Disease Control is allowing shelters handling child migrants who cross the U.S.-Mexico border to expand to full capacity, abandoning a requirement that they stay near 50% to inhibit the spread of the coronavirus, Axios has learned.

Eli Lilly & Co says its combination antibody therapy is effective at treating mild to moderate cases of COVID-19. The treatment, a mixture of drugs bamlanivimab and etesevimab, was developed by Indianapolis-based Lilly and the Canadian company AbCellera. It recognizes the virus once a person is infected and attaches to it, preventing the pathogen from entering human cells, and therefore neutralizing it. In trial data released on Wednesday, Eli Lilly said the combination reduced the risk of hospitalization and death by 87 percent compared to a placebo. The results are an improvement of an earlier study of the combination, which reduced the risk of hospitalization and death by 70 percent.

When the COVID-19 pandemic started and lockdowns became part of our daily lives, some romantic souls were predicting that this would produce a baby boom. Now, as the data shows up, we see exactly the opposite. CBS obtained data from health departments in over two dozen states that shows “a 7% drop in births in December—nine months after the first lockdowns began.” Research from the Brookings Institution in Washington, D.C., predicts that births may well be down 300,000 to 500,000 in 2021. The prediction is based on a negative correlation between birth rates and the unemployment rate. Higher unemployment means fewer babies.
