The Decivilizing of America

Original Article

Secure borders and stationary populations were considered the mark of emerging civilization by classical historians. In contrast to nomadism and constant strife over disputed territory, peoples who had clearly defined and protected borders ascended to statehood, maintained a distinct culture, and achieved greater prosperity and security. In contrast, what we suffered from 2021 to 2025 was unprecedented. It was an intentional administration effort to de-civilize the nation by destroying its borders—as if to return to the premodern era, when there were no clearly defined or secure borders, and nomadic peoples migrated as they pleased.

Many of us on this site have been saying that whatever is happening in this country is less due to incompetence and negligence and more due to a deliberate, coordinated action to destabilize and destroy our civilization. VDH precisely captures this his inimitable style. Absolutely a Must Read.

FTA: Why is America decivilizing? Maybe because our corrrupt politicians, academics and our disgraceful MSM want it that way. Anti-citizen hate attracts unhinged, dysfunctional people. In 2016, Middle America was called deplorable, racist, homophobic and many other epithets by people who wanted Donald Trump thrown in jail. Democrats, with the help of certain agencies, bureaucrats and MSM talking heads promoted the odious Trump Russia Hoax without bothering to verify anything. That bunch made up lies to smear middle America and Donald Trump, while spending four years scolding Americans for daring to notice Joe Biden was senile. They lost the trust of citizens because besides nobody thought Joe Biden was "running circles" around anybody. Dems thrive on chaos and mistrust. No wonder they're acting as though illegals are a legitimate constituency. Middle America sees Dems as unworthy of trust, and obsessed with "serving" foreign criminals at the expense of our own citizens. Dems reinforce that notion every day. If they wanted to work for the American people, they wouldn't waste time trying to keep foreign wife beaters on American soil. We don't need that kind of "representation."

VDH puts it out there. Pulls no punches. But understand something here. A secular society will ultimately die. However, President Trump has a chance to slow it down but who will step up after him to set the example. We can't rely on one person to right the ship. And forget about the left. It wants chaos, evil, corruption, and immorality. This would keep the left in charge. So what about us.

Definite must read. The efforts to decivilize are deliberate and can be laid at the feet of our government (both parties) who are supposed to GOVERN us. Our government has not stopped any of this. Quite the opposite, they have enabled it. Look at our schools and realize we are dumbing down our children. There is a force that is out to destroy our country as it currently stands. Understand who benefits from this and one will understand who is behind it. Our nation has opposed Communism and Socialism for over a century. Our nation has opposed Islam for just as long. Both are in an undeclared war with us. They seek to divide the nation. Just look at how many radical activist groups are out there shouting 'Get in their face' and Violence is justified'. Look at the self-destructive policies of our country. The 2024 federal deficit was 1.8 trillion alone. Total federal deficit is 36 trillion. Total US debt is 103 trillion. We spend money we do not have, and our government encourages it and is an active participant in it.

In a wide-ranging speech in the Bundestag, the German Chancellor outlined his new government's priorities, including a plan to revive Germany's struggling economy and transform it once again into a "growth locomotive." What you need to know Germany's new chancellor, Friedrich Merz, is introducing his government's agenda to lawmakers in Germany's parliament, the Bundestag. Elected in a historic second-round vote, he aims for swift action on growth, migration, and defense. He has also described his cabinet's lack of federal experience as a "great opportunity" for real change.

Wars seemed to be breaking out everywhere this week — in Kashmir, Congo, and in a new phase in Gaza. Closer to home, Democrats appear to be opening a hot civil war of their own. Political veteran James Carville was punching down to the ingénue David Hogg, scolding him for ham-handedly seeking to primary party elders. AOC and Bernie Sanders want to declare war against oligarchs who, ironically, mostly support Democrats and their causes. The portly Gov. The Episcopal Church’s migration service said it will refuse the Trump administration's request to help resettle dozens of White South Africans granted refugee status by the federal government. In a statement, Presiding Bishop Sean Rowe said the Episcopal Migration Ministries will instead terminate its partnership with the government. The announcement came shortly before 59 South Africans arrived in the United States. "In light of our church’s steadfast commitment to racial justice and reconciliation and our historic ties with the Anglican Church of Southern Africa, we are not able to take this step," Rowe said of the government's request that the church help resettle the South African citizens.

Republican Senator Thom Tillis has declared he will block President Trump’s choice for the crucial position of US Attorney for the District of Columbia, Ed Martin. His no vote will sink the nomination and if Martin isn’t confirmed in time, his replacement reportedly could be chosen by Trump-hating US District judge James Boasberg. Tillis doesn’t even have a plausible reason, telling reporters that his difference with Tillis is over the January 6, 2021, Capitol riot. The first sign of just how revolutionary President Trump’s second term would be actually came two years before his re-election. On June 6, 2022, the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, delivering pro-life conservatives a victory decades in the making—but which, in the end, was only made possible by Donald Trump. Before Trump’s first term, Republican presidents had displayed a remarkable knack for preserving a pro-Roe majority on the Court: George H.W. Bush more than offset the conservative jurisprudence of Clarence Thomas by appointing Anthony Kennedy and David Souter. And while both of George W. Bush’s appointees voted to reverse Roe, the younger Bush had tried hard

When the pilgrims settled in what would later become Massachusetts, they were seeking religious liberty after years of persecution in Europe. The pilgrims were the first of many such people seeking to make a new life lived in liberty for their families in the New World. Remembering such religious persecution, the founding generation adopted the First Amendment to prevent the federal government (and later state and local governments through the Fourteenth Amendment) from “prohibiting the free exercise” of religion. That protection for religious Americans should not act merely as a small carveout from government abuse.
