Will the next pope continue the last pope’s consistent record of appeasing Islam?
The late Pope Francis had a long record of whitewashing Islamic jihad violence and making moral equivalence arguments in order to downplay jihad terror. Back in 2017, Ahmed al-Tayeb, the Grand Imam of Cairo’s al-Azhar, noticed the pope’s yeoman service for the Islamic cause and thanked him for his “defense of Islam against the accusation of violence and terrorism.”
Francis was not just a defender of Islam but also a defender of the Sharia death penalty for blasphemy. After Islamic jihadists in Jan. 2015 murdered the Charlie Hebdo cartoonists who had drawn Muhammad, Francis obliquely justified the murders

Jesus clearly and repeatedly said, 'Peace'. Islam, by it's own scriptures, is openly at war with every other faith and culture. Believing and claiming otherwise is neither Christian not intelligent. I truly do not understand where Francis came from because he sure seemed to often put Jesus in the back seat relative to other problems.

Since I do not have a "dog in that fight," I'll just be over on the sidelines, taking notes and checking boxes. I can always watch it on TV with the sound turned off, the better to see black or white smoke, when it's all over but the shouting.

I'm very glad that I don't hold any man on earth as God's Representative. I have no dog in this.

Another Pope like Francis will further the decline of the Church. Bad enough, the sexual molestation scandal that cost the Church millions and outraged the public plus the faithful, and now they are going woke. Surely the Catholic hierarchy know that the Islamists would kill them all given the chance, so it must be ideology driving their suicidal stupidity.

Remember Pope Francis has been called out as being politically somewhere between being a socialist and a communist by some pretty leading politicians including the President of his native country, Argentina. There is little doubt that Pope Francis had no problem involving himself in the secular politics of countries all over the world, thus acting as a secular politician himself. When a Pope does that, in accordance with Catholic dogma such a Pope is not considered to be infallible as he is while addressing direct matters of the Catholic religion.
In that respect there is little doubt that Pope Francis counseled Biden who portrayed himself as be one of the most devout Catholics in politics, to regardless of the US immigration laws to “open” the US borders to unlimited numbers of Third World origin so-called irregular migrants (illegal aliens) so that they could supposedly make better lives for themselves and their extended families; and we can see that Biden immediately complied, with Biden’s leftist and progressive crew, and with leftist and progressive Democrat activists across the board, many of them involved with Democrat aligned non-governmental organizations (NGOS) who suck up huge amounts of US taxpayers money to use in doing everything possible to encourage and invite more mass uncontrolled illegal immigration in unlimited numbers, pleased as punch for Biden handing them the future chance to transform the ongoing massive illegal alien population into future leftist and progressive Democrat supporters and voters in unlimited numbers to keep the Democrats in permanent political power on into the future.
Remember Pope Francis had been the Pope for about twelve years, and throughout those many years had the opportunity to reshape the College of Cardinals by appointing many new Cardinals who are also very liberal politically when it comes to secular politics, and it will be the College of Cardinals who will decide who will become the next Pope.

The "next" Pope will probably be approaching 80. Gray or Silver haired. "Kick The Bucket" probably in 5 years. Concentrate of global climate change versus getting the pervs out the door. Purple of green hair is a plus. A Socialist, like the previous Pope, will earn double points. Lather, Rinse, Repeat. Announcement will be made by smoke signals. See you Sunday at attention.

The fact is we DO have a lot in common with Islam: they love the Blessed Mother, they oppose baby killing, and they try try to help the poor. B all means we should seek common ground. No lie we have differences also: they are the intellectual heirs of the priest Lucius whose views the Church condemned approx 325 AD, and along those lines they do not value the Crucifixion of Christ as the willingly paid price of our salvation nor that Jesus Himself, suffering and patience and all, is the only begotten Son of God, whom death could not hold, from which, death, whre is thy victory? But that said, it takes until the year 325 AD for their ideas to have been condemned totally and forever, and that means we do have a lot in common, we do. Do.

One thing I know for sure, the next Pope will not be an American.
