News from Cambridge that they may have detected biochemical signatures on a relatively nearby exoplanet has altered the solution probabilities to the Fermi paradox. The New York Times writes that “a team of researchers is offering what it contends is the strongest indication yet of extraterrestrial life, not in our solar system but on a massive planet, known as K2-18b, that orbits a star 120 light-years from Earth. A repeated analysis of the exoplanet’s atmosphere suggests an abundance of a molecule that on Earth has only one known source: living organisms such as marine algae.” Of course, it may be a false alarm. Current trends in psychology, physiology (Iain McGilchrist - The Master and His Emissary) and physics (Donald Hoffman - MIT) are offering very strong arguments that the reality we experience and the REALITY underling, creating and sustaining that reality are sufficiently different that we are: (a) unaware of the true nature of ultimate Reality (it isn't just numbers - where did the numbers come from?), and (b) participate in this simulation / reality through our consciousness which is highly likely to be eternal and of the same essence as the creating Mind / Spirit / Awareness which is Primary and the source of All including what scientist refer to as the matter (frozen energy) and energy of our experienced "reality".

One solution to the Fermi paradox is we are alone. What we call life is found only on this planet. Scientists love to speculate about extra terrestrial life when none of them can provide an explanation of life on this planet. Whether we are here by Divine Creation or random chance it may just be we are it. People are too impressed with large numbers. If 100 kids were playing in a school yard and the teacher yelled line up the probability that they would line up in alphabetical order is 1/100!. How large a number is 100 factorial? 100! is 9.3x10^^157. It is estimated that the number of molecules in the universe is only 10^^80. Love SiFi as much as anyone but there is very little Si and a whole bunch of Fi.

Trump’s 2019 Impeachment?

Investigative journalist Michael Shellenberger says that the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the CIA and the Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP) helped orchestrate President Trump’s 2019 impeachment. In an interview on Fox News, Shellenberger recounted how the impeachment case was brought about based on the word of a CIA analyst, left over from the Obama administration, who claimed to have heard from White House staff that Trump had pressured Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky, in a phone call, to investigate Joe and Hunter Biden. Shellenberger said that a memo written by that analyst, which served as the basis for Trump’s impeachment, relied heavily on a report done

State governments refusing to cooperate with federal law enforcement in enforcing immigration law because they reject the idea is an insurrection. And it ought to be treated like one. Whether it’s Gov. Newsom in California or Gov. Evers in Wisconsin, state governors ordering employees to obstruct ICE is a Fort Sumter moment. The State of Wisconsin guidance to “state employees encountering ICE or other federal agents at their workplace” tells them to ask for their budgets, tell them to sit in a “public area” , not allow them to “enter into a non-public area” and to refuse to cooperate without contacting a lawyer. Gov. Evers’s directive warns state employees

Joe Biden’s appearance at Pope Francis's funeral on Saturday caused as a stir as the 82-year-old former president showed significant signs of physical deterioration, even requiring significant assistance just to navigate a short flight of stairs at the Vatican. In a telling moment that validates the concerns many of us had about his fitness for office, Biden was seen desperately clutching the arm of an elderly priest while also relying on his wife, Jill, for support. The scene would have been comical if it weren't so concerning—here was a man who, just last year, was insisting he could handle another four years as leader of the free world,

Another week where America turns its attention to a rotten judiciary which is fast erasing any respect we once had for it. As the prior outrageous injunctions by numbers of (judge shopped) District Courts make their way up the judicial ladder, even more of them were issued this week. I think everything the President has done is the object of at least one District Court injunction. In the meantime, corruption of the judiciary has become so overt that two judges were placed under arrest this week. The case that particularly caught my attention this week unsurprisingly is once again from the District of Columbia.

There was a time in the mid-1960s when two left-wing Columbia University professors — Richard Cloward and Frances Fox Piven — enjoyed a brief run of media celebrity by espousing a strategy for Democrats they believed could force the creation of an American welfare state based on a guaranteed annual income. In a widely read article in the era's liberal flagship publication, Nation Magazine, the professors laid out their strategy as applied to the welfare state to illustrate the road to achieving all of the American left's ultimate economic, political and social goals: "Widespread campaigns to register the eligible poor for welfare aid, and to help existing recipients obtain their full benefits,

John Maynard Keynes, who should be burning in Hell for his shyster economic theories, is largely responsible for our current looming apocalypse. His theory basically is that only demand, made more real than just wishing for things by creating fiat money and credit, is important, since in his myopic, context-dropping theory, people produce a supply when there is a demand. (That they’d want the money they are paid to be valuable enough to buy someone else’s products he neglects to envision.) His theory was refuted by F.A. Hayek at the time. But politicians usually ignored the refutations, since they saw a way of expanding their power and budgets

Key players in the booming marijuana business have been pushing the White House to consider loosening up federal laws that they believe have stymied the industry’s growth domestically – and have helped illegal cartels meet the pot demands of average Americans, On The Money has learned. The basic problem Pot Inc. faces in the US is banking. Sale of weed and its various forms like gummies and even pot-laced soft drinks is estimated at between $40 billion and $60 billion, depending on what stoner source you’re quoting. It’s fully illegal in just a handful of states and is decriminalized or allowed for medical use in all the others.

With darling Greta Thunberg going off script by promoting the destruction of Israel, the Left needed a new poster child for their cause of climate change. It’s not that the Left had any objection to Greta’s newfound enthusiasm for killing Jews, they just thought she had too much on her plate. They have now pressed Fredi Otto into service as the new mascot for climate catastrophism. Fredi is more than just a substitute for Greta; she is an upgrade. Whereas Greta was a functional retard, Fredi holds impressive credentials, including a PhD in philosophy of science from the Free University of Berlin.

Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) has always been one of the loudest supporters of Israel. He knows the risks Iran poses to the Jewish State, America, and the region. In an interview with The Washington Free Beacon, Fetterman said President Donald Trump’s administration should destroy Iran’s nuclear facilities: “Waste that s—t,” the Pennsylvania Democrat told the Washington Free Beacon in an interview on Wednesday. “You’re never going to be able to negotiate with that kind of regime that has been destabilizing the region for decades already, and now we have an incredible window, I believe, to do that, to strike and destroy Iran’s nuclear facilities.”

So an unhinged leftist goes through downtown Minneapolis, casually walking his dog and keying Teslas as if it’s a hobby. Not just one or two vehicles, but six Teslas, to be exact, with damage totaling more than $20,000. Caught red-handed on video, arrested by police, and unequivocally identified as 33-year-old Dylan Adams, a state employee no less. Seems like a slam-dunk criminal case, right? Wrong. Instead of holding him accountable, Hennepin County Attorney Mary Moriarty decided to give him a pass. Yes, you read that right. The man caused tens of thousands of dollars in damage, but rather than face criminal charges, Adams gets the warm embrace of “diversion.”

I am chagrinned that it has taken me this long to understand the emptiness of Democrat dogma. I started realizing this some years ago when I began building a curriculum for the college logic class I was going to teach; I was searching for debates that were won by left-leaning apologists, thinking I should present examples from both sides of the social/economic/religious worldviews. But I began to suspect that such examples weren’t to be found. I found people -- mostly men -- who could slide around from one logical fallacy to another with slippery skill, but none did any convincing. Then came the Biden administration, when we watched the Democrat hollowness

House Republican leaders are considering making some of the key tax benefits that President Donald Trump promised on the 2024 campaign trail only temporary policies in the reconciliation bill that's currently being crafted. A "sunset" period of four years is under consideration for policies such as eliminating taxes on tips, Social Security benefits and overtime pay, Just the News has learned. The move has drawn criticism from a budget watchdog group, the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget, which has described the possibility of scoring certain tax benefits as temporary rather than permanent to estimate the full cost of the package as "manipulation" that wouldn't show the true cost.

One cause, however, is believed to be non-citizens, their inability to assimilate into Roman culture, and Rome’s DEI policies that welcomed immigrants to serve in the military.
