New details about the fatal helicopter-plane crash near DC’s Reagan Airport reveal the female pilot was repeatedly ignored warnings from her male co-pilot to turn away but she flew right into the passenger jet.
An American Airlines flight carrying approximately 64 souls collided with a Blackhawk helicopter near Washington D.C. Reagan National Airport (DCA) in late January.
All 64 passengers in the jet were killed.
The three pilots in the Blackhawk helicopter also died in the explosive crash.
A preliminary FAA report indicated that staffing at the DCA Air Traffic Control tower was “not normal” at the time of the helicopter-plane collision.
According to NBC News, at the time of the collision,

Even as talks progress and President Donald Trump says there is hope for a deal, Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky made clear he rejects President Donald Trump’s proposal to recognise Russia’s occupation of Crimea as a price of peace, saying the Ukrainian constitution calls for nothing less than absolute victory.
This week, President Donald Trump said in interview with Time Magazine that one of the ultimate outcomes of the war will be that “Crimea will stay with Russia”, and later that a deal was close, with Ukraine and Russia needing now to meet in person in negotiations for the first time to “finish it off”.

Former President Barack Obama was spotted going out to dinner with his daughters in Los Angeles on Saturday night — but former first lady Michele Obama was nowhere to be found as rumors of marriage problems continue to swirl. (Photo) Obama, 63, with daughters Sasha, 23, and Malia, 26, broke bread at upscale Japanese restaurant Hamasaku on Santa Monica Boulevard, which has been a favorite of the family since at least 2022, according to images of the dinner.

Pollster Frank Luntz inspired mockery after trying to bait Trump voters into expressing displeasure over their retirement accounts.
As Americans adjust to the effects of President Donald Trump’s tariffs, it’s clear that some are more focused on the big picture instead of the temporary pain. Luntz learned this firsthand when he questioned 15 supporters of the president about their 401(k) accounts.
Watch: [video]
“I need to ask you an issue that no one’s brought up and has crashed your 401(k)s, most of you, the tariffs,” Luntz said. “The stock market is way down.”
“It needed a correction,” said Sarina from New York.
“Oh, so you support it?” a visibly surprised Luntz asked,

State governments refusing to cooperate with federal law enforcement in enforcing immigration law because they reject the idea is an insurrection. And it ought to be treated like one. Whether it’s Gov. Newsom in California or Gov. Evers in Wisconsin, state governors ordering employees to obstruct ICE is a Fort Sumter moment.
The State of Wisconsin guidance to “state employees encountering ICE or other federal agents at their workplace” tells them to ask for their budgets, tell them to sit in a “public area” , not allow them to “enter into a non-public area” and to refuse to cooperate without contacting a lawyer.
Gov. Evers’s directive warns state employees

On Sunday, during an appearance on CNN’s “State of the Union,” Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) did not rule out impeaching President Donald Trump if Democrats take control of Congress.
Host Dana Bash said, “Your colleague from Georgia, Senator Jon Ossoff told voters at a town hall that he strongly agrees that President Trump should be impeached. Do you agree with him? Would that be a priority if Democrats were to take back Congress?”

Joe Biden’s appearance at Pope Francis's funeral on Saturday caused as a stir as the 82-year-old former president showed significant signs of physical deterioration, even requiring significant assistance just to navigate a short flight of stairs at the Vatican.
In a telling moment that validates the concerns many of us had about his fitness for office, Biden was seen desperately clutching the arm of an elderly priest while also relying on his wife, Jill, for support. The scene would have been comical if it weren't so concerning—here was a man who, just last year, was insisting he could handle another four years as leader of the free world,

House Republican leaders are considering making some of the key tax benefits that President Donald Trump promised on the 2024 campaign trail only temporary policies in the reconciliation bill that's currently being crafted. A "sunset" period of four years is under consideration for policies such as eliminating taxes on tips, Social Security benefits and overtime pay, Just the News has learned.
The move has drawn criticism from a budget watchdog group, the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget, which has described the possibility of scoring certain tax benefits as temporary rather than permanent to estimate the full cost of the package as "manipulation" that wouldn't show the true cost.

House minority leader Hakeem Jeffries was in Denmark yesterday trashing the United States. It’s a new America since Barack Obama where our own officials travel abroad to undermine our government.
He insulted President Trump’s efforts to make tariffs fair, and presented Democrats as the only ones standing up for American values. He suggested everyone is upset with the President’s agenda. It didn’t stop there.
“We’re dealing with a very, different America. We’re dealing with constituents who are understandably concerned at the unprecedented events that we’ve seen unfold,” Jeffries said. He is undermining President Trump’s efforts to get trade deals.

Journalist Sharyl Attkisson shared a study on COVID-19 deaths, and things are not as they seem.
Conservative skeptics were calling for an audit into COVID deaths from the very beginning, certain that things weren’t quite adding up. It was an unpopular position at the time, as the rest of the world was still reeling from the fear and uncertainty of a global pandemic.
Now that we are several years removed, people are finally looking into exactly how COVID deaths were categorized in Greece. [Tweet]
A study published in Scientific Reports reveals that “[i]n Greek hospitals, all deaths with a positive SARS-CoV-2 test are counted as COVID-19 deaths,”

Racist wackjob Joy Reid recently went on a racist rant, crediting White people for the fall of Rome, suggesting that Whites will be responsible for the United States’ collapse, and embracing Great Replacement.
Someone should tell Reid, who apparently flunked history class, that the fall of the Roman Empire had several causes, none of them being a lack of diversity. One cause, however, is believed to be non-citizens, their inability to assimilate into Roman culture, and Rome’s DEI policies that welcomed immigrants to serve in the military.

Sen. Cory Booker and House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries launched a live-streamed appeal from the steps of the U.S. Capital on April 27, demonstrating against Republican-backed budget plans. Starting just after 6 a.m., the lawmakers addressed viewers about the Trump administration’s proposed budget that they said would slash programs in housing, health care and education that help millions of Americans, while expanding tax breaks for the wealthiest. “Republican leaders have made clear their intention to use the coming weeks to advance a reckless budget scheme to President Trump’s desk that seeks to gut Medicaid, food assistance and basic needs programs
