Former Doña Ana County Magistrate Judge Joel Cano and his wife, Nancy Cano, were taken into custody Thursday after federal agents raided their Las Cruces home.
The two face charges of evidence tampering amid allegations they harbored Cristhian Ortega-Lopez, an alleged illegal alien who is also believed to be a member of Venezuela’s notorious Tren de Aragua gang.
"Under President Trump, we have arrested over 150,000 aliens—including more than 600 members of the vicious Tren de Aragua gang," said Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kristi Noem. "If you are here illegally and break the law, we will hunt you down, arrest you and lock you up. That's a promise."

Somehow, in today’s upside-down world, the radicalized left has decided that violent gang members are the new underdogs they need to defend. Instead of standing up for law-abiding American citizens, they’ve gone all-in on protecting the worst of the worst—drug traffickers, sex offenders, murderers, and now, even foreign-backed gangbangers.(snip)According to Fox’s exclusive report, the FBI has uncovered a plot that includes Venezuelan officials helping gang members sneak into the US—and not just to commit random crimes, but to carry out Maduro’s sinister agenda. According to the report, these gangbangers are being used like pawns in a proxy war and were sent here to intimidate and possibly kill critics

President Trump’s patience with Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is obviously wearing thin. However, the key for President Trump to change the dynamic; the thing he is inarguably trying to avoid; is a full U.S withdrawal and subsequent isolation for Zelenskyy.resident Trump via Truth Social:
“Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, is boasting on the front page of The Wall Street Journal that, “Ukraine will not legally recognize the occupation of Crimea. There’s nothing to talk about here.”
This statement is very harmful to the Peace Negotiations with Russia in that Crimea was lost years ago under the auspices of President Barack Hussein Obama, and is not even a point of discussion.

President Donald Trump will be holding a celebration of his 100 days in office during a stop in Michigan. It makes sense to pick Michigan as the auto industry is representative of the Trump global trade reset and tariff program. So far, eleven new or expanded U.S. automotive factories have been announced as major automakers seek to establish production lines in the USA to avoid 25% auto tariffs. The latest announcement was from Toyota, for expanded facilities in West Virginia.
“Toyota Motor Corporation’s North American manufacturing subsidiary,(snip) announced this week that it plans to invest a further US$88 million in its West Virginia plant

When a man threw two Molotov cocktails into the Pennsylvania governor’s mansion April 13, torching several rooms as Gov. Josh Shapiro and family slept upstairs, it set off a nonstop parade of national media appearances where Shapiro admonished the general public about political violence. (snip)But moral clarity gets fuzzy for Shapiro and the left when victims are on the right, or the criminals are loved by the left.
Who on the left has condemned the attacks on Tesla vehicles and dealerships? Not Shapiro, even as protest rhetoric gets more fervent and participation curtails business operations. The left has either participated in such events or cheered it on.

President Donald Trump is considering potential tariff exemptions for automakers, a White House official confirmed to The Epoch Times on April 23, following weeks of intense lobbying by industry leaders warning of disruptions to supply chains and rising consumer costs.
Although the official did not provide specifics, the confirmation comes as automakers and suppliers voice growing concerns over the Trump administration’s 25 percent tariff on imported passenger vehicles and light trucks—effective April 3—and a similar 25 percent tariff on auto parts set to take effect by May 3.
The Alliance for Automotive Innovation, which represents nearly all major automakers, has been a leading voice in the pushback

U.S. President Donald Trump castigated Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on April 23, after the Ukrainian leader said his country would not legally recognize Russian control over Crimea.
The U.S. government recently presented a proposal to end the ongoing Russia–Ukraine war.
The White House has yet to confirm details of the proposal, but Vice President JD Vance has indicated the plan would freeze the fighting along the current territorial lines.

Interesting series of events converging. According to multiple media outlets, a delegation from the U.S, Europe and Ukraine are scheduled to meet again in London tomorrow for further discussions of the peace proposal.President Trump said Monday they had “very good meetings” about Ukraine and Russia recently as Trump was likely debriefed from the meeting that Secretary Rubio and Envoy Steve Witkoff held in Paris, France with Emmanuel Macron, Ukraine, EU and U.K officials. However, this was the same Paris meeting that preceded Secretary Rubio saying if progress was not made quickly, the USA would exit their role in negotiating a peace deal.

The New York Times began the week with a hysterical story, “E.P.A. Set to Cancel Grants Aimed at Protecting Children From Toxic Chemicals.”
Children protected. Not old people. The story did not say what the age limit is, which is just as well because the grants were just aimed at protecting them, not necessarily protecting them. Think of it as a covid vaccine for toxic chemicals.
The story said, “The grants are designed to address a range of issues, including improving the health of children in rural America who have been exposed to pesticides from agriculture and other pollution; reducing exposure to wildfire smoke; and preventing forever chemicals from contaminating

Pope Francis, the first leader of the Roman Catholic Church to come from Latin America, and the first to come from the Western Hemisphere, has died.
Pope Francis I—born Jorge Mario Bergoglio, and formerly the cardinal archbishop of Buenos Aires, Argentina—died on April 21 at 7:35 a.m. after suffering a stroke, falling into a coma, and suffering irreversible heart failure. He was 88 years old.
Hours before he died, the pope emerged on Easter Sunday to bless the thousands of people in St. Peter’s Square in Vatican City.

New York Attorney General Letitia James didn’t just misclassify her five-unit Brooklyn brownstone as a “4-family dwelling” on mortgage documents. As we’ve previously reported, this distinction is not trivial—properties with five or more units are considered commercial and subject to stricter lending rules. But our latest investigation reveals something even more troubling: on multiple occasions, James described the property as a “1-family,” “1–2 family,” or even “1–3 family” dwelling—designations that offer even greater mortgage advantages than the 4-family classification, including lower interest rates, reduced reserve requirements, and easier approval thresholds.
This isn’t a minor paperwork discrepancy.

At 1:00am on Saturday, the Supreme Court of the USA issued an injunction [SEE HERE] blocking President Trump from deporting illegal aliens identified under the Alien Enemies Act. It was/is a bizarre order considering the lower court had not even ruled on the matter; worse yet, the Supreme Court created an imaginary “class” of aliens.
Any illegal alien who happens to also be a gang member, or illegal alien who would ‘smartly’ now claim to be a gang member, is ultimately the beneficiary of a Supreme Court order blocking their removal or deportation. That’s how judicially insane
