A new Marist poll has some bad news for NY Governor Kathy Hochul: a majority of New Yorkers don’t want her to run for reelection. Meanwhile, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer took it on the chin as well, as the poll showed his disapproval rating is in the tank and most Empire State voters want him replaced. Here are the ugly numbers: In the survey, conducted of 1,204 adults from April 3-9, 57% of residents statewide said they do not want Hochul to seek reelection [snip]
Only 13% of New Yorkers said they strongly approve of how the governor

A “statewide “ poll - of 1,204 people? That’s worthless.

It's amusing that many want the dems to work with Trump, AKA Hitler. How could that be possible? Dems immediately oppose EVERYTHING that Trump says, no matter how idiotic it makes them sound. Any dem who suggests they might want to work with Trump on anything are immediately attacked.
This suggests the dems hair-on-fire, 24/7 assault on anything Trump says or does is not playing well with voters, even in solidly liberal states. That's a big problem because that's the ONLY strategy the dems seem to have. Jasmine Crockett just said that "that Democrats don’t “have time” to convince voters of their “position”". This implies they don't have a position and their only strategy is that "We hate Trump!". The polls are suggesting that the voters will not be too impressed by this.
More and more it seems like the dems are going to go into the midterms with the same strategy that got them trounced in the 25 general election. Meanwhile Trump is busy being successful and by Nov 2026 it is likely his policies will have born rich fruit, leaving Trump even stronger.
THEN what will the dems do?

Actually, #1, a legit poll of 1,024 people, assuming actual random selection of the people polled (iffy) will generate an expected error margin of around 2% with a 99% confidence level. This assumes a perfect normal distribution (bell curve) and a truly random sample. Both of those are difficult to be certain of, so the
more likely case is perhaps a 4% margin of error.
1024 is a pretty decent sample size, purely from the statistical side.

I think NY state is beyond being able to correct the money and fraud of the NYC, Buffalo, Rochester and Albany ratfest. We need a federal investigation and a serious effort from the RNC, which hasn't lifted a finger since Rocky was gov. There are hundreds of billions of taxpayer dollars at stake, as well as a lot of political influence. The money and power criminally controlled by NY rats affects the nation, and the nation needs to motivate a complete audit of voter fraud and corruption that the rats have in NY.

Yes, Kathy, please DON'T run again because if you run again and win the primary election, everyone in NY state will have to vote for you simply because you have a "D" after your name!

IIRC, Hillary won only 6 counties in New York to become Senator. Hochul and Schumer will follow suit, and each will win by over a million votes.
