Crawford's win gives the Democrats a 4-3 majority, and it is expected that they'll force congressional redistricting that will cost Republicans two House seats before the 2026 election even takes place. With the margin already so thin, that could prove decisive in who gets the majority.

For every tariff another country has imposed on the U.S., the administration will slap what he called a “discounted reciprocal tariff” that amounts to half that country’s rate on American exports.
“Because we are being very kind,” Trump said during his announcement in the Rose Garden, “we will charge them approximately half of what they are — and have been — charging us.”

The Secret Service is facing serious accusations of negligence and security failures after a whistleblower came forward alleging that the agency ignored critical "insider-threat" complaints. The whistleblower is accusing the agency of hiring an applicant who failed the terrorism section of a polygraph test. Even more alarming, this individual is reportedly responsible for evaluating others’ security clearances. These revelations raise serious concerns about national security and the agency’s commitment to adequately vetting those entrusted with safeguarding the country— especially since the Secret Service is tasked with literally protecting the country’s highest officials.

Even as President Trump's approval on the economy slips, his support on immigration remains strong. He also ripped what he called "petty" attempts to oppose him because he recently forced the rewriting of a Republican-backed amnesty bill that would have stripped the governor of his power to fight illegal immigration. Things kicked off with a pre-recorded video of DeSantis noting the failure of Florida House Republicans to pass property tax relief. Instead, they've been focusing on parking spots and office space as a way to punish Sen. Ashley Moody for taking his side on the immigration issue.
Ontario Premier Doug Ford on Wednesday suggested that Canada would drop its tariffs on U.S. goods if President Donald Trump eased up on his tariffs on Canadian goods.
During an appearance with CNBC’s Ross Sorkin, he stated that the impending tariff war is “just going to hurt American jobs” and that Trump “said he was going to create jobs, create wealth, reduce inflation.”

Argentina’s poverty rate dropped from 52.9 percent to 38.1 percent during the second half of 2024, according to new data by the National Institute of Statistics and Census of Argentina (INDEC).
Local outlets reported that INDEC, a decentralized entity within the Argentine Economic Ministry, observed a nationwide decrease in poverty and indigence (extreme poverty) rates during the last six months of 2024.
