President Donald Trump has begun his war against Democrat-dominated, left-wing California, according to the New York Times, enacting six policies against the state in the space of just 24 hours last week.
The Trump administration waited to take on Gov. Gavin Newsom (D), initially, because of the devastation of the January 7 wildfires in Los Angeles. However, that did not stop Newsom from spending $50 million to fight Trump, even while asking for federal aid.
The Times reports on what happened next — on Thursday, March 26:
The U.S. Education Department announced early in the West Coast morning that it would challenge a major state law protecting transgender students.

Kaboom!!!!! Gavin Newsom as punching bag. He deserves it.
And Gavin should never ever be photographed in profile. A very weak look.

"PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. (KABC) -- More than two months after the Palisades Fire, only four permits had been issued as of Monday for homeowners to rebuild their properties -- a low figure that one Los Angeles city councilmenber said was "concerning."
"But the Department of Building and Safety told the committee that so far the department has approved only four permits. Councilmember Traci Park, who represents the Palisades and attended the meeting, says that's not acceptable."
"When I hear in the community meeting like we had today that only four permits have been issued -- and we're on day 75 post-fire -- that is concerning to me," Park said. "And I don't think it's a lack of interest in rebuilding, I suspect it is indicative of systemic issues that we need to continue to focus on."
"Mayor Karen Bass hired a private consulting firm to oversee the recovery effort. The contract with Hagerty Consulting is worth $10 million. Some councilmembers say that raises questions."
"We have city departments who know how to do this recovery, who have been involved in recovery efforts in the past," Councilmember Monica Rodriguez told ABC7. "And yet they can't be afforded the opportunity to hire the personnel that they need, but we can give a $10 million contract to an outside agency to help write a report for us."
"For me for me, it's just -- it's obscene," Rodriguez said."

"When the fire broke out around 10:30 a.m., Bass was in Ghana attending a reception with local and foreign officials for the swearing in of Ghana's President-elect John Dramani Mahama."
Some worry the city is in such a delicate financial situation that it could make the recovery effort, and even dealing with city services, that much more difficult. The city is facing a budget deficit of $1 billion next year.
"The loss of business and tax revenue is going to impact us," Park said. "I mean we are looking at hundreds of billions of dollars in economic losses overall, and I don't think there is any real easy way to sugarcoat this. It's a mess."

Those who don't know history revel in panning all Californians for what has happened here. Ignorant of what happened some years back when a "bipartisan"redistricting scheme was proposed by the Dems and conservatives like Tom McClintock bit. Other Pubbies followed his lead. How cool to have a protected Republican district. Wowser. Problem was that the Dems ended up with more protected districts and so dthey manage to prevail with only r40some percent of the registered voters.
I believe ghat Newsom and his Sacramento mafia have pushed things to the point whrere the pendulum will swing and California will once again be the Republican state it was for many, many years. Moderate Dems will help the swing as they did with Reagan and Schwarzenneger...

California is the picture of what leftists will do to the nation if they manage to steal back power. If they get power, they will be relentless in nailing the coffin of America. Cali is deep in debt, overrun by illegals, and have stupid leftists controlling everything with their stupid failing policies.

Do not forget that California became a great state under Republican leadership.
It was not until the Democrats used Prop. 187 (passed overwhelmingly) to bash Republicans so they could eventually gain a super majority where they didn't need to have any Republican input or votes needed to pass any legislation.
The plan was to build a massive government through the public employee unions.
They "negotiated" higher salaries, benefits and pensions (many are retired with over $100,000 yearly pensions). Our family personally knows someone who retired with over $300,000 salary and receives 70% of that amount as her pension.
And they use abortion as a tool to scare people into voting and others (Christians) to not vote. Except now abortion is part of the State Constitution so should not be a concern for anyone any longer (as long as RNC educates people).

Californians who lost their homes in the big fire should be blaming Newsom and Bass for the disaster but the average sandal-clad person on the street will continue to blame Donald Trump and complain that their new home has not yet been built.
