Quite the statement, eh? Let me explain. I’m well into my 60s and for my entire adult life I’ve heard that public school teachers are underpaid. It has been repeated as a mantra for decades.
Ignoring for a moment whether it is true or not -- and the answer to that is generally, it depends -- let’s accept the mantra and analyze why public-school teachers are still underpaid after all these years.
It’s not spending. As most voters know, it seems that every stinking year there is some ballot initiative or measure or legislative move to increase spending for our woefully underfunded public-school systems. It never seems to end.

Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) drew condemnation from personalities on both sides of the political spectrum when she seemingly expressed outrage over recent airstrikes against Houthi rebels in Yemen.
Tlaib responded to reports of a Signal text group that included national security officials, Vice President JD Vance, and Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth. The group reportedly discussed classified details of upcoming attacks against the armed terror group.
Someone accidentally looped in Jeffrey Goldberg, editor of "The Atlantic," into the chat.
"This is an outrageous national security breach, and heads should roll," Rep. Chris Deluzio (D-PA) told Axios,

A popular LGBTQ nightclub in Sacramento, California, is prohibiting patrons who wear MAGA-related attire from entering the establishment.
Badlands, in the city’s Lavender Heights district, announced the policy on social media. Management claimed they were motivated to impose the ban after a patron wore a MAGA hat while in the bar, leading some patrons to complain that they were made to feel uncomfortable and unsafe.
“At Badlands Sacramento, we are committed to creating a space where the LGBTQ+ community and our allies feel safe, welcomed, and respected,” TJ Bruce, the bar’s owner, wrote in a social media post. “Recently, a guest entered the bar wearing MAGA attire,

Does President Trump understand how lucky he is with respect to his enemies? He probably does, which is why he keeps making traps and they jump in with gusto.
We learned that Governor Tim Walz (Kamala's VP) sort of admitted that he made you know what out of himself with his Tesla comments. He was "joking" or something like that. I guess that someone told him that the teachers' pension plan has money in the new "evil" Tesla. Remember when something similar happened to Hillary Clinton years ago? She was bashing fossil fuel companies until someone passed her a note that a public sector employees have their retirement plans

CAIRO/JERUSALEM, March 23 - An Israeli airstrike at a hospital in Gaza on Sunday killed five people, including a Hamas political leader, Palestinian medics and Hamas said, in an attack Israel said had targeted a key figure in the militant group.
The Gaza Health Ministry said the strike hit the surgery department at Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis. The Israeli military said its attack followed extensive intelligence and used precise munitions to minimize harm at the site. Hamas said a member of its political office, Ismail Barhoum, had been killed.
Israel's defence minister, Israel Katz, confirmed the target was Barhoum. The military did not name the target, which it

Someday a good Disney remake will come … but this isn’t it. The modern Disney Co. shouldn’t have remade “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” — it has lost the innovative genius, the artistry, and the appreciation for Western classics that made Walt Disney’s original film one of the most iconic and beloved movies of all time.
Yes, I know, everyone is tired of hearing about Rachel Zegler, the Wokest of Them All, but since the original Snow White (still one of the highest grossing films of all time) is a personal favorite of mine and it’s the weekend, let’s examine what used to make Disney movies great,

I really want to trust Lindy Li, the high profile 34-tear-old Democratic influencer and fundraiser who switched to Team Trump while votes were still being counted in California.
But I have reservations. And I have one very specific reason why.
In the last two months, Li has been all over the internet. Her breakout interview on the Shawn Ryan show a month ago has garnered more than 3.5 million views and over 30,000 comments. A subsequent interview with Patrick Bet-David netted 2.5 million. As Bet-David noted, “A lot of people want to know, is she straight up, is she real?”
Maybe, maybe not. Li is smart, sweet, charming, and so seemingly vulnerable

Everybody's favorite boomer rube, virulent Never Trumper and Lincoln Project co-founder Rick Wilson, took to leftist social media to lament about his "quiet" house after getting kicked off X for threatening imagery promoting violence against Tesla.
If you haven't seen it yet, Wilson posted a substack article about attacking Tesla purely from a financial standpoint. The problem is that Rick thinks he's clever despite volumes of real-life examples that he is basically AOC with less hair.
As such, Wilson sent his post out on social media accompanied by an image of the burning shell of the Tesla Cybertruck that an Army soldier detonated outside a Trump hotel in Las Vegas

Well, not quite. I used that headline for the sake of amusement, but Walz clearly does have a problem with how people perceive his masculinity, and he sure does seem to have an unnatural obsession with alphabet ideology, hanging around with young gay men, and a lot of less-than-masculine traits.
During the campaign, he pranced and danced, used his "jazz hands," kicked in excitement like he were a Rockette, and was, generally speaking, quite weird. Weird enough that after Harris put him out front for much of the campaign, she decided to put him in Witness Protection toward the end. He was as appealing as Herpes to most men.

Several longtime sponsors, including the company that makes Bud Light, have pulled their funding from the annual San Francisco Gay Pride Weekend.
For some reason, San Francisco Pride requires $3.2 million to cover its June weekend of events. Corporate sponsors were expected to pay $2.3 million of that. But after four declined, the organization will have to scramble to make up the $300,000 shortfall elsewhere.
San Francisco Pride’s executive director, Suzanne Ford, told SFGATE that they expect to lose a few sponsors every year, but it was “very abnormal” for four sponsors who have been with them for years to suddenly bail out.

Why is Israel alone forced to justify its existence and questioned when it stands up to those who would annihilate it? Why was a worldwide campaign of hatred that reeked of anti-Semitism unleashed on Israel when it responded to the October 7, 2023, attack, while there was no criticism of Hamas? Why has the U.N. censured the Jewish state more times than any other nation, even China, North Korea, and Cuba combined?
The answer runs deeper than geopolitics, says conservative commentator and legal scholar Josh Hammer in his debut book Israel and Civilization: The Fate of

Let's face it.
Kamala Harris was a lousy presidential candidate. Candidates often have flaws. Some are weak on policy. Some are weak on performance. Some are weak on presentation. But she was bad on all of those things.
There's a new book out that's gives us a great example of the problems with Harris.
According to an excerpt, Harris' campaign insisted that she could only be seated in chairs that "met certain specifications":
An excerpt from “FIGHT: Inside the Wildest Battle for the White House,” by Jonathan Allen and Amie Parnes, published in The Hill, detailed the strict seating arrangements.
Comments:
It's too much for them to abide anyone who supports Trump. Melting snowflakes. I hope for their sakes that nothing like reality ever intrudes into their sheltered existences. They might go haywire.
