Former Obama advisor Van Jones declared that the Democratic Party was "screwed" and trapped between two deeply unpopular factions.
The CNN commentator couldn’t help but laugh at the "nightmare" Democrats were in when asked about the ongoing friction between party members.
"Look, man, we’re screwed," Jones said on "CNN Newsroom" Sunday. "I mean, Democrats don’t know what to do. This is a nightmare. You know, somebody like Donald Trump, we thought we’d at least have Hakeem Jeffries in the Speaker’s chair to hold him back if we didn‘t have Kamala in there to do the right thing."

President Trump’s special envoy Steve Witkoff said Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky apologized to Trump in a letter after a explosive public argument during an Oval Office meeting.
“Zelensky sent a letter to the president. He apologized for that whole incident that happened in the Oval Office,” Witkoff said Monday on Fox News. “I think that it was an important step and there’s been a lot of discussion between our teams and the Ukrainians and the Europeans who are relevant to this discussion as well.”
U.S. and Ukrainian officials are set to meet in Saudi Arabia this week to pick back up on peace negotiations to end the war with Russia.

The Department of Homeland Security is now encouraging illegal immigrants to self-deport with a new version of the defunct CBP One app, which the Biden administration used to facilitate the entry of more than 1 million aliens.
The revamped CBP Home app includes a “Submit Intent to Depart” feature that allows illegal immigrants to voluntarily leave the country instead of getting deported by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. After notifying their intent to leave, users can verify their departure. The app was rolled out on Monday.

The Supreme Court on Monday agreed to hear a case that could determine if mental health professionals in the United States can legally engage in conversations aimed at helping young clients struggling with their gender identity to accept their biological sex.
The case, Chiles v. Salazar, involves a Christian counselor in Colorado, Kaley Chiles, who sued over a state law that prohibits so-called “conversion therapy” for minors. Her lawyers with the conservative Alliance Defending Freedom, or ADF, say the government’s one-sided censorship of private conversations between clients and counselors violates the First Amendment’s free-speech protections.

Ukraine may not be able to survive against Russia even with U.S. support, President Donald Trump said in a Fox News interview that aired on Sunday.
“Well, it may not survive anyway,” Trump said in an interview on Sunday Morning Futures when asked about his decision to roll back U.S. aid for Ukraine. “We have some weaknesses with Russia. It takes two. Look, it was not going to happen — that war and it happened. So now we’re stuck with this mess.”
“I just don’t think he’s grateful,” Trump added, referring to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

The worst part about being chairman of the College Republican club at my school (shoutout to JMU) was constantly being hit on by babes. I’d tell them, “Stop, please, I’m trying to do important work here. Go harass the football star instead.” But NOOOO. They just wouldn’t leave me alone. I never had a moment’s peace.
Because, obviously, nothing’s sexier than being in a political party. It’s the coolest thing ever!
Okay, I’m lying. Most of the time, talking politics is an anti-aphrodisiac: People either don’t care at all — or they care WAY too much. (Hide the knives.) Neither party had a positive Q rating,

President Donald Trump is ushering in a new age of peace, stability and cooperation in the region, according to Hassan bin Youssef Yassin, a senior Saudi diplomat and advisor to King Salman bin Abdulaziz, who expressed strong support for the President’s efforts to create a “new world order” based on coexistence and cooperation, as he urged Arab nations to back his initiative as they did in the past.
In an article published Tuesday in Arab News, Yassin argues that President Trump’s shift to diplomacy — particularly with global powers — offers an opportunity to resolve long-standing conflicts, including the Arab-Israeli dispute.

The causes of deaths of actor Gene Hackman and his wife, Betsy Arakawa, were revealed by officials on Friday, more than one week after the couple was mysteriously found dead in their Santa Fe, New Mexico, home.
Hackman, 95, died of cardiovascular and Alzheimer's disease likely around Feb. 18, about one week after his wife died from a rare syndrome, hantavirus pulmonary syndrome, on about Feb. 11, officials said. Hackman's death was from "hypertensive and atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease, with Alzheimer's disease as a significant contributory factor," Dr. Heather Jarrell, chief medical investigator for the state's Office of the Medical Investigator, announced at a news conference.

Three U.S. Army soldiers, two active and one former, were arrested on Thursday for selling sensitive military documents and information to buyers in China.
Li Tian and Ruoyu Duan were charged in Oregon for “conspiring to commit bribery and theft of government property,” the Department of Justice said. Jian Zhao was charged in Washington for the same crimes but also for “conspiring to obtain and transmit national defense information to an individual not authorized to receive it.” The unauthorized recipients were based in China.

Reps. Ro Khanna (D-CA) and Laura Gillen (D-NY) appear to be among the very few in their party to criticize the behavior of Democrats during President Donald Trump’s Tuesday evening joint address before Congress, stating that they stood up for young cancer fighter DJ Daniel when others did not.
In an anecdote shared to X on Thursday, Khanna began by recounting what a flight attendant told him while he was traveling this week: “Jim Barrett, a flight attendant, politely chased me down at Chicago Airport,” the congressman wrote. “‘Sir, I am a Democrat but the way the party behaved was embarrassing. Made us look heartless.

The public does not like President Donald Trump’s plan to sell “Gold Card” citizenships to wealthy foreigners, according to a Rasmussen poll.
The Gold Card plan is strongly supported by only 22 percent of likely voters, including just 38 percent of Republicans, according to the February 27 to March 3 poll of 1,180 likely voters.
The plan to sell Gold Cards for $5 million is strongly opposed by 33 percent of all respondents, including 36 percent of “moderates.”
Overall, the plan is strongly or somewhat backed by 41 percent and opposed by a plurality of 47 percent.
That opposition matches the national mood, which is increasingly opposed

With the Trump administration and Congress focused on cutting waste, fraud, and abuse from the federal budget, there’s an effort underway to make sure public broadcasting ended up under the microscope. The notion that public broadcasting would be held to any form of accountability, including the possibility they broke federal law, was apparently beyond the pale for former Washington Post executive editor Marty Baron, who vented to CNN International’s Christiane Amanpour on Wednesday. “And Trump is working in a very determined way to try to undermine the press in every conceivable way that he can. And we are only, well, not that many weeks into this administration,”
