WASHINGTON— President Donald Trump said Wednesday that Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy will visit the White House on Friday to sign a long-sought minerals deal that will closely tie the two countries together for years to come.
Trump made the announcement at the start of the first Cabinet meeting of his second term, hailing the deal as “a very big agreement.”
The Republican president has long complained that the United States has spent too much taxpayer money to support Ukraine in the war with Russia that began when the Kremlin invaded three years ago. Trump has framed the emerging deal that would give the U.S. access to Ukraine’s deposits

Fired CBS News reporter Catherine Herridge posted photos of the confidential files seized by the network — which “included sensitive reporting about COVID-19 origins and Hunter Biden.”
The award-winning investigative journalist — who was dismissed last February as part of wider layoffs by embattled parent company Parent Global — stirred a firestorm in her bid to regain the materials before the network gave back the items weeks later.
“Exactly one year ago, @CBSNews returned my investigative reporting files,” Herridge wrote on X on Wednesday.
“Today, I am releasing photos of the records for the first time so you can see the sheer volume involved.”

We saw a collective freakout from liberals in the media over the first Cabinet meeting of the second Trump administration on Wednesday. Elon Musk, who as White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt reminded, works with the president and Cabinet secretaries to get to the bottom of government fraud and waste, was present for such a meeting. As Townhall has been reminding, then First Lady Jill Biden not only attended by led Cabinet meetings during the previous administration. Any outrage is completely misplaced. The meeting was indeed held on Wednesday, where Musk did speak.

Biden-appointed Judge Amir Ali on Tuesday blasted DOJ lawyers over USAID disbursement and ordered the Trump Administration to pay the foreign contracts by 11:59 pm on Wednesday evening.
The Supreme Court immediately responded to Trump’s emergency request to vacate Judge Amir Ali’s order.
“IT IS ORDERED that the February 25, 2025 orders of the United States District Court for the District of Columbia, case Nos. 1:25-cv-00400 and 1:25-cv-00402, are hereby stayed

“We pray that you will give the president, the vice president wisdom, Father God, as they lead. Father, I pray for all of our colleagues that are here around the table and in this room. Lord God, we pray that we would lead with a righteous clarity,” he said in part.

The following are the top nicknames that President Trump has unleashed upon his political enemies.
Only a very stable genius could possibly conceive of these nicknames. They are sidesplittingly funny.
As we enter into the Golden Age, let us remember the staying power of these nicknames.

MSNBC has reportedly informed a majority of staffers who work on Rachel Maddow’s primetime opinion show that they are being let go as part of the network’s restructuring that resulted in the cancellation of Joy Reid’s program as well as those of other hosts.
The Comcast-owned, left-leaning channel told Maddow staffers they have the option of applying for new roles at the network or accepting a severance payout, according to the news site Guardian. (Photo) Maddow, MSNBC’s most prominent anchor and top-rated host, will retain her executive producer, Cory Gnazzo, along with several senior producers, the Guardian reported.
However, the rest of her team, along with producers from other recently canceled shows

The majority of MSNBC staffers who produced Rachel Maddow’s primetime evening program are being let go as part of the network’s shakeup.
While Maddow will get to keep her executive producer and other senior producers, the rest are being given the option of applying for new positions at the network or claiming severance. The Maddow team was let go because of a quirk of how they worked on both Maddow’s show and Alex Wagner’s show, when Maddow scaled back to hosting only Mondays and Wagner hosted Tuesday to Friday.

Speaking to reporters at the White House Tuesday, Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt announced the White House Correspondents Association and a handful of media outlets will no longer have a monopoly over coverage of President Donald Trump in the Oval Office, on Air Force One and in other limited spaces within the administration. "For decades a group of DC based journalists, the White House Correspondents' Association, has long dictated which journalists get to ask questions of the president of the United States in these most intimate spaces. Not anymore," Leavitt said. "All journalists, outlets and voices deserve a seat at this highly coveted table."
