I Was Wrong About Trump

No, I am not in love with Trump. He still makes me cringe sometimes, and I still don't understand the Canada/51st state thing at all, and want nothing to do with Gaza if he is serious about that.
But there are two vital things about him which I got completely, totally, and without question wrong.
Walter Kirn slapped me in the face (not literally) with a single tweet. Boom. At least it was a "boom" for me, because I was one of those people who was absolutely certain that Trump was too immature, too narcissistic, and too lacking in self-awareness to put his ego in check and hire

You cringe because you are weak-minded and want to color in the lines which draw a picture of endless misery.

I noticed some of this from Trump in his first term. Frequently when speaking at some event or location he would call out and praise others for the work they did. It’s a key behavior in business leadership. Of course Trump has a healthy ego, anyone who runs for president does. But he does give credit to others.

“I still don’t understand the whole Canada/51st state thing” means you still don’t understand Trump at all. So why write a column on this? Read “The Art Of The Deal.”

Trump 47 is a different person from Trump 45. The Donald Trump who rose up from the stage in Butler, PA, with his fist in the air, blood running down his face, saying Fight, Fight, Fight was a different man than the Donald Trump who turned his head at just the right moment, struck by a bullet and went down to the stage. Thanks be to GOD.

I paid scant attention to Trump prior to his first run for office, but once I started looking into what kind of person he was, it wasn't hard to learn about the myriad of Trump employees--people who did the most menial tasks--who highly praised him because of how he treated them. The measure of a man isn't how he treats his "equals," but how he treats those whom society says are not as important as him.
If I could find this information, surely oh-so-smart Strom could find it, too! Therefore, I can only conclude this writer is a fool--and he will remain one for as long as he continues to be spoon fed by the malignant media.

I liked Trump in 2016 but he had his "bad" moments. I LOVE Trump 2.0. He is simply masterful. He still has his quirky moments but they are funny rather than grating. He is MUCH more thoughtful when he speaks. But best of all, he COMPLETELY understands Washington now. He has anticipated their actions and is 10 moves ahead of the Left. Some of his strength is a result of the more Conservative courts he created in his first term but he isn't counting on that for victory. He is using the full strength of the Presidency as almost no one has before and his strategic use of Musk to rip the covers off the Left's financial dealings was a master stroke. It happened so fast and the results were out immediately before the Left could raise a response. No everyone KNOWS the corrupt games that have been going on and while the dems bemoan how it was done, they can't argue that what was uncovered is OK. Huge funds were diverted to illegal uses.

If Mr. Strom still doesn't get what's going on in Canada, I suggest he look into the works of Canadian investigative journalist Sam Cook. Cook has the goods on how Trudeau sold himself and the Canadian Liberal Party to the CCP in exchange for lax drug and money laundering laws. As a result, Canada is now a de facto province of China. And China is *legally* bringing the precursors for fentanyl manufacturing into the port of Vancouver, manufacturing the drug in newly built facilities in rural BC, distributing the drug in both Canada and through the porous border (where inspections are few and catch only small quantities), and launders the cash proceeds from sales of the drug through Chinese-owned gambling casinos in BC. All of that must come to an end, and since Canada's sovereignty is now compromised, it may take force majeure from Trump to make it happen.

Online Strom bills himself as a freelance writer and a "professional speaker". Iteresting how his description of PDJT actually fits him:
"At least it was a "boom" for me, because I was one of those people who was absolutely certain that Trump was too immature, too narcissistic, and too lacking in self-awareness to put his ego in check and hire the best people and support them."
This pathetic loser appears to be wrong very much of the time. Needs others to straighten out his thinking. I usually advocate reading entire articles because Replies based on headlines and maybe the intro so often miss the mark because the poster didn't have the full story. Feel free to skip that with self-regardiing Strom who is obviously not very bright. That is the only thing you'll learn from himl

#3, as I was driving yesterday, I heard PDJT say “Governor Trudeau.” I almost drove off the road. I laughed so hard.
In addition to his changed demeanor, his quick wit is showing more than it did in his first term.

I agree with #5 Trump is a different man since the assassination attempts. He's also a different President than he was in his first term. He's not a Washington newcomer anymore and he learned that he can't trust career/establishment political advisors. He's choosing to surround himself with people he trusts, respects, and will work hard to push his agenda and enforce his policies.

Correction to post #11: The Canadian investigative journalist is Sam Cooper, not Sam Cook. My apologies to anyone who searched for the incorrectly conveyed name...

I welcome Strom's epiphany. (I almost skipped it because of lingering annoyance.)
I'd like to see more "conversions," but I'll be very, very skeptical should they begin to offer DJT "advice" about how to conform more to their notions.

I have no problem with anyone who can reflect on previously held beliefs, and openly concede he got some things wrong. It's not easy to give up beliefs we have lived with for a long time. It wasn't Donald Trump who censored the information Americans were allowed to see and consider. The censoring came from Big Government, activist politicians and unelected bureaucrats all desperate to protect their turf and themselves from exposure.
I am grateful to anyone willing to step up and admit to drawing some wrong conclusions. False narratives are created to mislead voters, and they are kept alive to prevent facts harmful to their creators from being exposed. The more Americans learn, the better they understand what the censors were up to. And that is the LAST thing the participants in this dirty work want exposed.

For anyone wanting a quick primer on the emerging narco-state that is present-day Canada, watch this 13.5 minute video by a Nova Scotia based YT channel which reacts to a video of Sam Cooper interviewing the guy who *should* have been named the "Fentanyl Czar" of Canada:

As the channel host notes, even the Bidet administration was appalled with Canada, with former Sec. State Blinken telling them so...
