Daylight broke through the stained glass windows behind the Rev. Patrick Nicolino as he sat in the quiet sanctuary of the First Congregational United Church of Christ of Elyria. [Snip] It was there in that sanctuary nearly a week before that...the pastor..spoke to his congregants about the fears and concerns spiking throughout the community of threats of deportation and xenophobia. “Historically, churches have always been places of safety and security,” ... “The place in which, no matter what the individual has done, if they come into the church space, on to the church property, they are protected.

It’s been about three weeks, America. We’ve had plane crashes, more mass shootings, and one sure-seems-like-a-coup-to-me by an unelected billionaire and a handful of frat boys that I’d report to the cops for breaking into my bank information if they were down at my at my shady neighbors’ house doing this over pizza rolls and Pabst Blue Ribbons. [Snip] I forgot about that gorgeous new resort President Donald Trump suggested building by ordering a foreign country to get out ‘cuz we’re taking over. [Snip] “When small men cast long shadows, you can be sure the sun is about to set.”

Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) chief Elon Musk’s efforts to clean up waste and fraud in the federal government will soon shift its focus to the Social Security Administration (SSA) in a move likely to create a firestorm with Democrats. [Snip] Just Facts, a nonprofit research institute, previously reported that the agency disbursed roughly $2 billion in fraudulent or improper payments in 2022,... [Snip] "Social Security will not be touched, it will only be strengthened," President Donald Trump said during a press conference on Friday. "We have illegal immigrants on Social Security and we're going to find out who they are and take them out."

President Trump has declared his intention to take over the leadership of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington. D.C. [Snip] I have decided to immediately terminate multiple individuals from the Board of Trustees, including the Chairman, who do not share our Vision for a Golden Age in Arts and Culture.” [Snip] Trump went on to attack drag programming mounted at the performing arts center, adding, “Just last year, the Kennedy Center featured Drag Shows specifically targeting our youth--THIS WILL STOP. The Kennedy Center is an American Jewel, and must reflect the brightest STARS on its stage from all across our Nation.

UNITED NATIONS - President Donald Trump’s suggestion that the U.S. "take over" the Gaza Strip has garnered negative reactions across the globe and even from within his own party. [Snip] Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjártó, however, doesn’t think the world should be so quick to dismiss President Trump’s proposal. Szijjártó compared the Gaza proposal... [Snip] "I would like to remind everyone that when President Trump announced his plan regarding the Abraham Accords, there was hardly anyone in the world who would have believed in the success....those agreements,...brought a totally new dimension to the life of the Middle East,"

US President Donald Trump didn’t commit to sending troops to Gaza--but he also did not rule anything out--because, according to White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, the president is “very good” when negotiating and wants to preserve that leverage. [Snip] “His administration is going to work with our partners in the region to reconstruct this region. [Snip] Leavitt reiterated that it’s been made clear to Trump that the US needs to be involved in the rebuilding effort to ensure stability for all people. [Snip] “The president made this decision with a humanitarian heart for all people in the region.”

The most common argument you’ll hear from those defending the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) is that the grant dollars in question are just a fraction of the federal budget--less than one percent! [Snip] The point is to expose USAID for the left-wing propaganda and regime change operation that it has become, and to shut it down. In the six decades since it was established, USAID has gone from fighting poverty, spreading American ideals, and undercutting Soviet propaganda, to becoming a woke propaganda operation of its own that actively undermines the pillars of western civilization. It’s gone from exporting democracy to exporting deviancy,

The U.S. will "take over the Gaza Strip," level it and rebuild the area, President Donald Trump said during a press conference Tuesday evening after meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House. [Snip] "And everybody I've spoken to--this was not a decision made lightly--everybody I've spoken to loves the idea of the United States owning that piece of land. Developing and creating thousands of jobs with something that will be magnificent in a really magnificent area that nobody would know. Nobody can look because all they see is death and destruction and rubble."

On a small hill just north of the Cincinnati city limits sits a sprawling academic campus that, at first glance, you could be forgiven for mistaking for a small college. [Snip] The all-boys school...attracting...sons of Cincinnatians for more than 150 years. [Snip] ...at an elite place like St. X, Vivek stood out... [Snip] ...Vivek Ramaswamy never made this place his home. He’s...someone whose wealth led him to see the globe as his residence. We don’t want the best, smartest technocrat in charge; we want the man who would abhor our city’s exploitation...preserve it for those who have lived, worked, bled, and died to make it what it is.

Amid the hundreds of substantive executive actions President Donald Trump has taken in his first two weeks back in the White House, perhaps none matter more than his efforts at bureaucracy-busting. [Snip] Democrats claiming Trump will “politicize” agencies by installing “loyalists” are only expressing rage that Republicans are attempting to take the keys to the unconstitutional power structure Democrats have controlled for more than a century. [Snip] ...Trump isn’t “weaponizing” or “politicizing” these agencies. He’s fighting their inherent weaponization. Firing and investigating people who abuse public power, and ending the theft of American labor to fund evil international patronage schemes--that isn’t retribution, it’s justice.

[Snip] ...the new data webpage will give “daily updates of voter registration changes across Ohio’s 88 counties, including new registrations, updates, and removals from voter rolls.” Ohio law mandates that local election boards “generate daily snapshots of their county voter registration database and provide those snapshots to the Secretary of State’s office,” [Snip] ...citizens are encouraged to “crowdsource” information from the new online portal and use it to “report any discrepancies” to state election officials to maintain accurate voter rolls.

Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò has written a stunning letter celebrating the re-election of Donald J. Trump as the President of the United States, seeing it as a triumph against the globalist agenda. [Snip] “For the first time after years of woke madness, a President of the United States can carry out the program for which he was elected, restoring those principles of natural law that are the basis of civil life and a well-ordered society,”... [Snip] Let us therefore begin to make this counter-revolution of common sense our own, rejecting the lies and deceptions of those who seek to subvert...Natural Law after having trampled on the Divine Law.”

Caution for American Patriots: Blood pressure medication, anti-nausea medication and sickness bags may be reading requirements. Here she is again--a “national award-winning freelance writer and columnist” displaying what many perceive as her oft-displayed petulant opinion of Republicans. She described Pete Hegseth’s past as “...running smaller nonprofits into the ground with outlandish debt, alleged licentious relationships, reckless addictive behavior, vocal opposition to women in combat,”...and Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. as “...the carcass-hauling, bear-planting, vaccine-denying, worm-brained guy Trump wants to be in charge of the nation’s health.”
