Congressional Democrats have begun scheming to use an upcoming government battle to force concessions from President Donald Trump.
Though the next spending deadline is in mid-March, Congress has yet to agree on anything, let alone a deal to avert a crisis.
“Democrats say they have little appetite to help Republicans, given Trump’s latest moves, and intend to use their leverage in the spending fight,” according to The Hill.
Sen. Patty Murray, the top Democrat on the Senate Appropriations Committee, warned reporters earlier this week that “the level of trust is at the lowest I have ever seen it here in Congress,

A double down on DEI had the NFL previewing end zone slogans ahead of President Donald Trump’s unprecedented attendance that had one columnist crying foul.
“Trump soils everything.”
Sunday, tens of millions of people from around the world are expected to tune in to see if the Kansas City Chiefs will achieve a Super Bowl three-peat or if the Philadelphia Eagles will achieve their second championship. At the same time, those viewers will be made subject to a slew of woke content in contrast to the president’s attendance as league Commissioner Roger Goodell argued, “It does make the NFL better.”

Boston University assistant media technician Jared May took to the leftist echo chamber social media platform Bluesky to post a “Wanted Dead or Alive” image featuring the names and photos of Elon Musk’s DOGE employees. The University’s weak response was that “the views expressed do not reflect the values of Questrom School of Business.”
In his Bluesky post, May listed off the names of six individuals he said are “The men carrying out Musk’s coup,” and shared an image featuring their photos alongside the words, “Wanted for Treason — Dead or Alive.”

American taxpayers are no longer subsidizing foreign media once funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), prompting leftwing concern over the potential impact on global journalism and “democracy.”
President Donald Trump put a 90 day hold on all USAID’s foreign aid this week, which subsequently cut $268 million from media outlets in more than 30 countries, according to the agency’s 2025 foreign aid budget reported by Reporters Without Borders (RWB).
USAID’s 2023 fact sheet, taken offline due to the hold, boasted the agency supported 6,200 journalists, 707 news outlets, 279 media-sector civil society organizations, the Columbia Journalism Review reported.

The House Oversight Committee on Wednesday devolved into chaos after the Democrats, who are in the minority, failed to subpoena Elon Musk.
Democrat lawmakers lashed out at Elon Musk for shaking up Washington with his DOGE team.
The Trump Administration really poked the hornets nest after Musk’s DOGE workers accessed the Treasury Department’s payment systems.
The Democrat-media complex lashed out at the young Gen Z whiz kids cleaning up government waste.
The DOGE team also got to work cleaning out waste after Trump shut down the Democrats’ USAID money laundering slush fund.
On Wednesday, Republicans on the Oversight Committee blocked Democrats from issuing Elon Musk a subpoena for deposition.

Antisemitism may be one of the most, if not the civilized world's most ancient hatreds, and it resurfaces with baffling regularity. Most recently, hatred of the Jewish people is rearing its ugly head on American college campuses, where young skulls full of mush whose grandfathers may well have helped liberate German death camps are wearing kaffiyehs and screaming Hamas slogans.
At one school, the Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art in Manhattan, is being sued by Jewish students who were locked by security personnel into a school library to protect them from their fellow students, who had been whipped into an antisemitic rage, in October 2023.

Senate Judiciary Democrats want Kash Patel, President Trump’s FBI director nominee, to sit for a second hearing to explain “false statements” they allege he made during his confirmation hearing and answer questions about the recent firings at the agency.
“To ensure the Senate Judiciary Committee can fulfill its constitutional duty to provide advice and consent on the nomination of Kashyap Patel to be Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Mr. Patel must clarify apparent falsehoods in his testimony, under oath, during his confirmation hearing," the Democrats wrote to Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa). "It also is critical that Mr. Patel address a material item

During her appearance on CNN's "Laura Coates Live" earlier this week, Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) went for a particularly unhinged take as she ranted about "white tears" and other racist remarks. Her comments have been showcased, criticized, and even became a trending topic over X.
After she ranted and raved against Elon Musk for some minutes with Coates, the conversation moved to discuss Darren Beattie, an acting undersecretary at the State Department whose social media posts have come under fire.
Crockett wouldn't even let Coates provide background to the situation as she ranted and raved about President Donald Trump, accusing him of being "a white supremacist"

A federal judge has indicated that she will issue an injunction forbidding members of the DOGE team, which is part of the Executive Office of the Presidency, from reviewing some financial records.
During the hearing, a lawyer from the Department of Justice disclosed that two "special government employees" associated with Musk, but employed by the Treasury Department, accessed sensitive records from the Bureau of the Fiscal Service based on "high level guidance" from the Department of Government Efficiency to prevent waste and fraud.
U.S. District Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly gave the government and unions who brought the case until 6 p.m. ET to say whether they agree to the injunction,

This week, a massive firefight broke out between Democrats and Team Trump over the White House takeover of the U.S. Agency for International Development. The USAID managed approximately $40 billion in fiscal year 2023; its original mandate, established under the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961, was to spread American influence across the globe through aid to various governmental and non-governmental organizations. Over time, however, USAID morphed into a piggy bank for a wide variety of international organizations with agendas ranging from green energy policy to the spread of left-wing gender and racial politics.

This week we learned that the Trump administration is drafting an executive order aimed at abolishing the Department of Education.
Since future administrations can easily overturn executive orders, Trump’s order would strategically weaken the department while reinforcing the need for congressional action to abolish it entirely.
Why do we even have a Department of Education in the first place? As Reason Magazine noted a few years ago, the Department of Education wasn’t so much created to make education better, but actually as a political favor to the National Education Association (NEA), which had backed Jimmy Carter’s 1976 campaign after he promised to establish the agency.

Trump’s new Attorney General Pam Bondi has hit the ground running. If she succeeds in implementing her ambitious agenda, America will be a substantially stronger republic.
The single aspect of Old Joe Biden’s misrule that makes him by far the worst president in American history was his politicization of the Justice Department and his use of it (with Merrick Garland’s willing help) to try to ensnare and destroy Trump with an array of bogus charges. Bondi is tackling that corruption head-on: Fox News reported Tuesday that among the new attorney general’s first directives are “orders to combat the weaponization of the legal system.”
Comments:
You catch the most flak when you are over the target!! AFAIC, the entire USAID business needs to be completely obliterated and started over from scratch, but with absolute oversight, transparency and set laws and rules on exactly what can be funded.
