President Donald Trump signed a major executive order on Thursday to "begin eliminating" the Department of Education, "once and for all." HThe signing came as the president gave remarks on education for this "historic event." [Tweet, video]
Such a move was previewed on Wednesday evening, though Trump also signaled he would return the issue of education back to the states before officially taking office for his second term, when he announced he would be selecting Linda McMahon as his secretary of education, who has since been confirmed.

We’ve all seen those uppity federal judges presuming to tell the executive branch when it can deport enemy aliens, when it can fire useless government flunkies, and when members of the administration must stand or sit to pee. Like much of the lawfare against Donald Trump, this craziness is going to come to nothing. It’s all going to turn to ashes in their soft, girlish little hands. But here’s the thing – we control federal law enforcement right now. That means we get to set the agenda, and we need to ruthlessly and brutally use the law to defeat our enemies’ outrageous and disgraceful attacks upon patriotic Americans.

Question: What's the difference between a federal district judge and God?
Answer: God doesn't think he's a federal district judge.
Or as Winston Churchill once said, "There, but for the grace of God, goes God." Imagine the sheer hubris and limitless ego needed for an unelected jurist to don a black robe and assume the power of commandeering the national security apparatus and tell an aircraft full of dangerous foreign terrorists to turn around and return back to America to terrorize. Did Commissar Boasberg get his black robe from Hogwarts?
Of course, there are a few problems with this, the first being purely logistical.

The radical left's latest target in its crusade against free speech and successful American businesses is Tesla and its owners. Leading the charge is none other than Rick Wilson, the unhinged former Republican strategist turned resistance grifter who co-founded The Lincoln Project.
Wilson, who recently published what I can only describe as a call to violence against Tesla vehicles, dealerships, and owners, has now been suspended from X.
"Tesla is no longer just a car company; it's a bank for fascists," Wilson ranted in his deranged post on his Substack, describing the innovative American automaker as a "goose-stepping hedge fund."
Now that his violent rhetoric has gotten him suspended from X,

Canadian furniture maker Prepac is moving all of its production to the United States following the threat of tariffs on Canadian goods from President Donald Trump.
According to Unifor, Canada’s largest private sector union, Prepac is closing its manufacturing plant in Delta, British Columbia, to move all production to its manufacturing plant in North Carolina, which opened in 2021.
As a result, more than 170 Canadians will lose their jobs at the British Columbia plant. Unifor representatives suggested that those jobs will be moved to North Carolina.

Many of the illegal alien gang members deported to El Salvador by President Donald Trump via the Alien Enemies Act had criminal records that included murder, rape, kidnapping, and other violent crimes.
Last week, the Trump administration used the Alien Enemies Act to deport 250 illegal alien gang members associated with Tren de Aragua (TdA) and MS-13 — both of which are now designated as terrorist organizations by the State Department — to a mega-prison in San Salvador, El Salvador.
At the last minute, as the deportation was reportedly already carried out, federal Judge James E. Boasberg issued a temporary restraining order blocking Trump from deporting illegal aliens

A series of swatting incidents targeting conservative commentators and journalists have transpired nearly every evening since March 11, according to X posts in which the victims shared video surveillance footage and photos of the events, sparking questions as to who is engaging in what Rep. Andy Ogles (R-TN) called “domestic terrorism and attempted murder.” FBI Director Kash Patel, Attorney General Pam Bondi, and Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem have also reacted to the wave of dangerous crimes.
The term “swatting” refers to an anonymous attacker targets someone by making a false call to emergency services — using anonymous tools like Google Voice or VPNs

After more than nine months in space, two NASA astronauts finally returned to Earth, touching down in the Gulf of America. Their extended mission, which was initially intended to last for only two weeks, saw them endure the challenges of living in space far beyond their expected timeframe. The astronauts faced a series of technical delays and unforeseen complications, but their safe return marks a significant milestone for both the space agency and the astronauts.
Williams and Wilmore returned home aboard the SpaceX Crew Dragon capsule, which had been docked at the International Space Station since September 2024. The capsule, which was initially used to transport NASA astronaut Nick Hague

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) has slammed the Trump administration’s decision to expel South African Ambassador Ebrahim Rasool, calling it a “racist” and “Islamophobic” act of retaliation for his country’s stance against Israel.
On Friday, Secretary of State Marco Rubio declared Rasool “persona non grata” after the ambassador accused President Trump of promoting white supremacy.
The South African official’s remarks came a mere week after Trump said the country “is being terrible” to its farmers and announced that farmers seeking to flee for safety reasons “will be invited into the United States of America with a rapid pathway to citizenship.”
Rubio made the announcement in a social media post,

President Donald Trump’s deputies deported 261 criminal migrants to detention centers in El Salvador, beating a U.S. judge’s desperate attempt to block the international enforcement of the nation’s immigration laws.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio thanked the president of El Salvador, Nayib Bukele, for accepting 238 Venezuelan migrants:
We have sent 2 dangerous top MS-13 leaders plus 21 of its most wanted back to face justice in El Salvador. Also, as promised by @POTUS, we sent over 250 alien enemy members of Tren de Aragua which El Salvador has agreed to hold in their very good jails at a fair price that will also save our taxpayer dollars.

You catch the most flak when you are over the target!! AFAIC, the entire USAID business needs to be completely obliterated and started over from scratch, but with absolute oversight, transparency and set laws and rules on exactly what can be funded.
