DeSantis proposes solution as Trump's
agenda is stymied by judges

As aspects of President Donald Trump's agenda are stymied by judges amid legal challenges, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has suggested that Congress could strip federal courts of jurisdiction. "Congress has the authority to strip jurisdiction of the federal courts to decide these cases in the first place. The sabotaging of President Trump’s agenda by ‘resistance’ judges was predictable — why no jurisdiction-stripping bills tee’d up at the onset of this Congress?" DeSantis wrote in a Wednesday post on X.

Comments:

Congressional Republicans need to get on this and restrict or eliminate jurisdiction for the kind of endless lawfare now being willingly pursued by rogue far-left federal judges. The “save our democracy” Democrats hypocritically resort to rule by unelected monarch judges as their last desperate island of “resistance.”

Excellent point. Of course, several of the court orders have been issued in situations where it is at best doubtful that the court has jurisdiction.

The problem is getting it through the senate since the demo-commies won't play nice. I read that Chip Roy want the House to put a hold on the funding of the rebellious courts. That only takes a majority in the House. No money for them if they won't stay in their lane!

You MIGHT squeeze it through the House but it WOULD NEVER pass the Super House (Senate), because senators no longer represent their states, they represent themselves ...

#4: I'm reasonably sure that Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) could do it. Prof. Dershowitz once described Cruz as the brightest student ever to take his classes at Harvard. And Cruz was doing that in the 1990s at pre-woke Harvard, when the school still had some credibility as an educational institution. Perhaps Cruz is doing it as we speak. If he's not, he might want to re-evaluate his legislative priorities...

If you wondered since 2016 how come the blob and the Democratic Party were aligned so exquisitely in their operations to destroy populism (personified by Mr. Trump) and to permanently entrench single party power in America for all time to come, it’s because an endless font of taxpayer money was streamed into countless non-governmental orgs creating a shadow civil service of Democratic Party activists that melded seamlessly with the big policy-making agencies.

The Democrats assume that constantly casting Trump as Hitler is all that’s needed to win the election. The central argument at their convention, spoken and implied ad nauseam, was: Anyone with a pulse is going to beat Evil Orange Man. Defeating the evil dictator is the only thing everyone needs to concentrate on. But then along comes RFK to upset the Potemkin apple cart.

President Trump’s move against Voice of America, the executive branch agency that oversees it, and other U.S. international broadcasters and grantee media is an understandable reaction to decades of managerial lapses and an organizational structure that has remained immune to accountability and oversight for too long. On Friday night, Trump signed an order reducing the functions of the U.S. Agency for Global Media (USAGM) to only those required by statute. His administration also moved to cut grants extended to Radio Free Asia and Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty — nonprofit organizations that receive all their funding from USAGM — and suspend the full-time staff of VOA, which is a federal entity.
