Mere days ago, a horrific tragedy struck as an Army Black Hawk helicopter collided with an American Airlines flight near Ronald Reagan National Airport, resulting in the loss of 67 lives—three from the helicopter and 64 on the plane.
We’re still looking for answers, but one thing that many agree on is that this accident was entirely preventable. Americans nevertheless want to know exactly what happened and why, so that we can know how to prevent such accidents from happening again.
Amid the grief over this unspeakable loss, the U.S. Army made a controversial decision: to withhold the name of the female helicopter pilot involved in the accident, claiming it

The Trump White House is making it abundantly clear that it does not endorse transgenderism and gender ideology.
On the State Department’s official website, the term LGBT no longer exists and has been replaced by LGB.
“LGB” stands for lesbian, gay and bisexual, while the “T” stands for transgenderism.
The change was picked up on a page in which LGB travelers are warned about the potential risks of travelling abroad.
The website states:
LGB travelers can face special challenges abroad. Laws and attitudes in some countries may affect safety and ease of travel.
Many countries do not recognize same-sex marriage. Many countries also only recognize the male and female sex markers in passports

Sen. Chris Murphy (D – Tehran) doesn’t seem to have gotten the memo that the famine hoax has fallen apart and Hamas tossed it aside after the Biden – Witkoff deal allows it to claim victory.
But after the Trump administration froze the gravy train of aid, including $50 million in condoms for Gaza, Sen. Murphy tweeted that “It’s a lie. Made up. There was no U.S. funding for condoms in Gaza. What he stopped is programs to keep malnourished babies alive in Gaza. Aid groups say infants will start to die next week.”
Everyone knows the perpetually malnourished infants in Gaza can’t live without condoms. That then get turned into bombs.

Well, well, well: We have reported previously about the race-hustling academic fraud Ibram X. Kendi (here and here, for starters), whose lavishly funded Center for Anti-Racist Research at Boston University came under scrutiny for not producing any research, and being mismanaged in the extreme leading to massive staff layoffs. An audit by Boston University found “no wrongdoing,” though it is hard to resist the ironic suspicion that this was a whitewash.
And now the other shoe drops: Kendi, who was seldom seen on the Boston University campus and apparently taught no classes, is leaving BU for Howard University, and—surprise—starting a new “research institute”:

When Episcopal Bishop Mariann Budde lectured President Trump and Vice President Vance about immigration during her sermon at the National Prayer Service on the day after they were inaugurated, leftists hailed Budde for standing on principle and giving the Bad Orange Man a good scolding. As it turns out, however, Budde may have motivations that were a bit more tangible than principle: her Church’s Episcopal Migration Ministry (EMM) rakes in millions from a number of taxpayer-funded entities for bringing the migrants. And the Episcopal Church is by no means alone in this: other Churches that have recently

Last week Bishop Mariann Edgar Budde of the Episcopal Diocese of Washington received backlash when she injected politics into her sermon during a prayer meeting with President Trump, Vice President Vance, and their respective families in attendance.
The bishop urged President Trump to be merciful towards gay, lesbian, and transgender children and illegal aliens. Many were outraged by her casual mention of transgender children as if their condition was a natural phenomenon.
In reality, transgender children are victims of coercion and brainwashing by sinister forces and lack the maturity or life experience to make such a life-altering decision. Yet instead of protecting innocent children from this barbarity,

Embattled Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass made her big play this week to rebuild Pacific Palisades in her own image. Needless to say, it won't be pretty.
During what the Los Angeles Times called "a freewheeling half-hour walking tour in Pacific Palisades," with reporters and "chief recovery officer" and former LAPD commissioner Steve Soboroff, Bass announced that the city plans to hire "an outside consultant to handle a significant rebuilding contract for areas devastated by this month’s Palisades fire," as the Times put it.
“They’re going to represent you and make sure that everybody does exactly what they say they’re going to do,” Soboroff told reporters.

President Trump’s no-nonsense border czar Tom Homan delivered a verbal haymaker on MSNBC’s Joy Reid, going after the liberal commentator on Fox News’ “Jesse Watters Primetime” Tuesday night in spectacular fashion.
Watters queued up a clip of the far-left activist news commentator grousing on her nightly show about the Trump administration’s sweeping nationwide immigration raids, which Reid dismissed as “performative.”
New York Attorney General Letitia James, who was Reid’s guest that night, called the government “reckless” for the raids, which have so far snared more than 4,500 violent criminals including convicted murderers, gang members and kidnappers.

Jim Acosta issued a bitter final diatribe as he confirmed that he is quitting CNN after being booted out of his prime slot.
Concluding his CNN Newsroom show just before 11am ET Tuesday, Costa, 53, looked directly into the camera and said: 'One final message - don't give in to the lies.
'Don't give in to the fear. Hold on to the truth and to hope,' he continued, eventually calling Donald Trump 'a tyrant'.
'Even if you have to get out your phone,' he went on. 'Record that message. "I will not give in to the lies. I will not give in to the fear." Post it on your social media,

CNN anchor Jim Acosta and Illinois Attorney General Kwame Raoul expressed outrage on Monday about Dr. Phil’s involvement in a Chicago Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) raid.
Dr. Phil was filmed questioning an alleged illegal Thai national alongside ICE officers during the late Sunday night operation, where he joined border czar Tom Homan. Raoul, on “CNN Newsroom with Jim Acosta,” said Dr. Phil’s participation was “adverse to the First Amendment,” while Acosta raised concerns about the popular television host gaining “access” to the raid. Wake up, New York! Did you pay attention to the Trump trials? Did you realize how your rights as a citizen have been abrogated by the New York legal system? Please read the post-trial Trump jury charge and watch the New York juror orientation video.
In past years, Chief Judge Judith Kaye’s orientation video depicted the 1735 John Peter Zenger case, which New York schoolkids learned about in pre-woke days. That video told jurors of our inalienable right to find a defendant not guilty if jurors thought the law in the case was immoral, wrong, wrongly applied, or just plain unjust. Jurors could nullify

As the tide of totalitarian wokeness recedes from the swamp, some of its ugliest and most toxic creatures will find refuge as employees or grantees of tax-exempt nonprofits. In our pluralist and democratic society, we must, to some degree, tolerate organizations with intolerant, inhuman, or wicked purposes, not least because we should have the intellectual humility not to judge every cause on our present knowledge. Who knows what valuable chemotherapy will come from the poison mushroom the Sierra Club is fighting to save?
True, we need, or at any rate must suffer, the plague of foundations—for fear of an unhealthy political monoculture in which our own miscues and misdeeds go unchallenged.
