After the 2024 election, the Biden administration knew what was coming in January: a massive crackdown on aid to Ukraine. Since Kamala Harris’ epic defeat last November, the Biden White House wasted little time, if any, sending hordes of cash to the eastern European nation, which became more of an outlet for liberals raging at Russia for supposedly interfering in the 2016 election than a national security priority. Like anything Biden touched, this issue became more unpopular as the months progressed. With Secretary of State Marco Rubio, all aid has been shut down. The gravy train to Kiev is over (via Politico):

Hot Damn! Its about time this corrupt gravy train is stopped. The world hasn't seen a meat-grinder like this since WWI, a hundred and ten years ago. It does not pass my notice that socialism is dying as it's century of ascendancy is consumed in war, flames and famine.
May God protect the innocent and ravage the guilty.

One way to stop a war is to turn off the money.

Ok, Russia. Balls in your court. Will it be peace or war? Everyone is watching and will see what you do.
We could not continue to fund an endless war. We don't have the money. Heck of a message to send to the rest of the world, but they probably have already guessed at it.

Very good news. Ukraine cannot become another Vietnam quagmire. Let Europe take care of Zelenskyy and his wife.

Good! This is long overdue. How much money has Ukraine stolen from us, and funneled back to Zelensky and assorted Democrats in Congress?

So we are shutting off aid. What happens then? Seems to me Putin, the aggressor, who thought he'd over run Ukraine in three days, shouldn't be rewarded by snatching away their defenses.
No one seems to think about the next step. He gets 1/5 of Ukraine if he quits fighting. He rearms for a few years and he'll be right at it all over again.
He wants the Baltic states so when does he take another shot at it? Then what do we do?

Actually, no. All foreign aid EXCEPT what is going to Ukraine has been suspended for 90 days.
Ukraine will continue to effectively resist the invaders.
Remember Ukraine? The country that deployed with us to Iraq, even though they weren't bound to by Article 5? They came because they are an ally of America. Remember them? The ones we gave security assurances to? Yeah...that Ukraine. The one that was minding its own business.

Zelensky cannot continue to fight without our aid, and Putin knows the price of oil will be dropping soon.
Both sides are now incented to stop the war. How much of the Ukraine Putin will keep will be the major issue.

Great start! Marco Rubio, as our new S-o-S, best you get over to Ukraine and start fronting a peace plan and have a come to Jesus meeting with Z and Putie for ending this travesty. And work out how much money Putie will pay out of his own pocket for re-constructing Ukraine.

I agree that the people of Ukraine are worthy of our respect and aid, but that is not the same as what is going on today. Our supporting the present government allows the corruption to prosper at the expense of slaughtering those great people. The bribing of Biden, the illegal labs, the wasting of our billions of dollars used to make their elites wealthy, is not that country of yesteryear. Nor are we in a position to launch a war. Wars are expensive, our military has been degraded, and I don't believe we would have the support of our people. Wiping out communism is always worthy, and Russia has suffered significant losses. So, yeah, but, President Trump says it can be better solved by his approach.

By shutting down foreign aid, we are starving out the deep state money laundering back to themselves.

But how are the “friends of Ukraine” going to survive without their kickback checks”? I wonder how much of that money actually made it into personal bank accounts? Talk about money laundering.

About time...the poor Pentagon and their Industrial Military Complex buddies have just run out of money...and now Hegseth is in charge...it just keeps getting better and better....watched President Trump put the DEI mayor of Los Angeles in her place at the meeting in California....she started her word salad remarks and he interrupted many times calling her out on her duties to the people....her attempt at being relevant back fired...as did Newscum's....

Keep in mind that, by drilling our own oil, we are cutting out aid to Russia as well. We’ve been funding both sides of this war by handouts to Zelensky and buying overpriced oil from Russia.

Fabulous! High time that the incompetent greedy 'comedian' is tossed as well. Zelensky thought that the US should pay for elections in the Ukraine, and it would be $168 million. We have paid this clown gazillions more. I did not hear that he was holding elections. Just get him out, yesterday. He can retire to all the yachts that he inquired and villas in foreign countries.
