NEW YORK — ABC News has agreed to pay $15 million toward Donald Trump’s presidential library to settle a defamation lawsuit over anchor George Stephanopoulos' inaccurate on-air assertion that the president-elect had been found civilly liable for raping writer E. Jean Carroll. As part of the settlement made public Saturday, ABC News posted an editor's note to its website expressing regret over Stephanopoulos' statements during a March 10 segment on his “This Week” program. The network will also pay $1 million in legal fees to the law firm of Trump’s attorney, Alejandro Brito. The settlement agreement describes ABC's presidential library payment as a “charitable contribution," with the money

The entire country met Minnesota’s own Tampon Tim Walz this past August when Kamala Harris selected him as her running mate. The more the country saw him, the less it liked him. Walz thrilled Democrats in convention assembled when he called Trump running mate J.D. Vance “weird.” That proved a poor choice of words on Walz’s part. The more the country saw Walz, the weirder it thought he was. He made a poor vice presidential candidate.
Taking the path of least resistance under fire, he declared himself “a knucklehead.” He is worse than that, but it was a revealing concession. In the glare of the national spotlight Walz was exposed

John Stossel is back to ruin your preconceived notions of things with some very inconvenient truths. In this case, these truths are going to be very inconvenient to the environmentalist crowd who thinks recycling is actually benefiting us as much as they think.
For years, we've been told that recycling is the best way to keep the planet healthy and reduce pollution. Even as a child, I can remember that being impressed upon me in school, with more than one guest presentation, including songs, being taught to us to get it firmly in our heads that we need to recycle. To this day, I still feel guilt when

New, shocking revelations have emerged regarding the USCP officer who shot and killed Ashli Babbitt on January 6th, 2021. According to a new report, then-Lt. Michael Byrd, who claims to have saved "countless lives" that day, was paid tens of thousands of dollars in taxpayer money after the shooting and even demanded cash from a memorial fund meant for the families of slain officers.
The report also reveals Byrd's long history of professional misconduct. Naturally, after a House Oversight subcommittee requested more information, the USCP claimed it could not find any records associated with the officer's disciplinary record. One Internal Affairs investigation involved him leaving his post to play cards.

Earlier this week President Biden wandered up the street from the White House to the Brookings Institution. At Brookings Biden regurgitated the talking points he has cited in support of his economic record. The White House has posted the text of his speech under the groaning title Remarks by President Biden on His Middle-Out, Bottom-Up Economic Playbook.” I have posted the Reuters video at the bottom.
Biden was introduced by Brookings co-chairman Glenn Hutchins and, more briefly, by Brookings president Cecilia Rouse. From 2021 to 2023, Rouse served as Chair of the White House Council of Economic Advisers. According to her, “inequality and climate change” are what it’s all about.

On the left, everything is violent except violence. We see this often in the context of speech, but Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez extended the universe of violence to include denial of health insurance coverage:
“This is not to say that an act of violence is justified, but I think for anyone who is confused or shocked or appalled, they need to understand that people interpret and feel and experience denied claims as an act of violence against them,” the congresswoman told CBS News’ Jaala Brown on Thursday.
Ocasio-Cortez is an unusually dull-witted person, but even she should understand that shooting someone in the back is violent. Turning down an insurance claim might be correct

Scorched earth is one of the most brutal strategies in war. It can be an offensive or a defensive strategy and usually leaves a wasteland of destruction and starvation in its wake. It seems that Joe Biden, on his way out of the Oval Office, is using this strategy against America.
One of the most famous examples of an offensive use of scorched earth is Sherman’s “March to the Sea“ from Atlanta to Savannah from November to December 1864. Sherman not only burned Atlanta to the ground, but he also left a trail of destruction for a wide swath all the way to the ocean, everything from military targets to infrastructure

Barack Obama had long been rumored as the catalyst for the 2020 Biden nomination—and thereafter played the whispering puppeteer behind the subsequent lost Biden administration years.
As such he and his coterie proved the virtual architects of the Biden administration, one of the most unpopular and failed presidencies in American history.
Recall earlier that after a flailing candidate Joe Biden lost the first three 2020 primaries and caucuses, his inert campaign was headed nowhere.
Barack Obama and fellow Democratic insiders abruptly engineered the withdrawal of his rival 2020 presidential candidates: hard left but likely sure-loser candidates, including Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, and Pete Buttigieg.

Secretary of State Antony Blinken testified yesterday before the House Foreign Affairs Committee on the catastrophic withdrawal from Afghanistan. Blinken is a complete and utter tool. He is of course the guy who solicited the corrupt statement signed by the Dirty 51 impugning the authenticity of the evidence found on Hunter Biden’s laptop. That may have been a stroke of evil genius, but Blinken sounds like the man who taught Joe Biden everything he “knows” about world affairs and grand strategy over the course of Biden’s life in public office over the past 50 years. Yet Blinken is only 62. It’s possible, but unlikely. Perhaps it was John Kerry.

On Tuesday night, Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) shared over X that she was "physically accosted," with more posts following. As she communicated in her posts, though, she is not giving up on her agenda to protect women and their private spaces. All of her posts mention "#HoldTheLine."
News of the assault has since become a trending topic over X for Tuesday night. (X) As one more recent post from the congresswoman explains, she "was physically accosted at the Capitol tonight [Tuesday] by a pro-trans man." Mace mentioned the need for a new wrist brace and ice, though as she added, "it'll heal just fine."
Mace also noted that the person

A source with knowledge of the investigation into the murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson told Fox News that a person fitting the suspect's description has been taken into custody at a McDonald's in Altoona, Pa.
The person has a similar gun to the one used in the shooting last Wednesday, the source added.
Police tell Fox News that a person at the McDonald's recognized the individual from the wanted posters of the suspect and then alerted law enforcement.
When police arrived, they spotted the person and found a weapon -- believed to be the one used in the murder -- in his pocket, along with a fake ID, according to police.

NEW YORK — A New York City jury will begin weighing whether to convict Marine veteran Daniel Penny of criminally negligent homicide in the death of a man he placed in a chokehold on a subway train, after the jurors said last week they couldn’t reach a unanimous verdict on a more serious charge.
The judge agreed to dismiss the top count of manslaughter against Penny on Friday and directed the panel to start deliberating Monday on the lesser charge, which carries a lighter punishment.
“Whether that makes any difference or not, I have no idea. But I’m going to direct you to focus your deliberations on count two,” Judge Maxwell Wiley
