It seems that these women wailing about their reproductive rights don't no how they get pregnant. If they pick up a book and read about it they might find a way to prevent it. Killing the unborn is not a method for birth control. However, for the providers of this "service", it is a gold mine.

Excellent article. Somebody had to say it and Alicia is one of the few not afraid of the truth. I do, however, disagree with one point. These mentally ill women are not suffering their pain unnecessarily, they have a deep psychological need to fret and scream over something and it might as well be abortion law. If not for that they would be out there protesting inhumane killing of mice or the fact that men do not have to suffer by wearing high heels just to make their butts stick out. Insanity has its own requirements and they are fulfilling an actual need.

It’s not just abortion that has them losing their minds. My daughter is a hair stylist and had a woman in her chair a couple of weeks ago who was in a rush to get an IUD because she was convinced that Trump would ban ALL birth control.

I'm glad that a woman said this. We're not labeling women silly for their voting for Kamala. We are puzzled by their absolute panic after Trump was elected. Yes, abortion was returned to the states but Trump didn't directly do that; the SCOTUS did. Trump has even said he agrees with the more moderate state rules of allowing abortion for a few months and in the case of rape or threat to a woman's health. If the standard is completely unfettered access to abortion, not many agree with that. As Alicia points out, women have access to abortion if they need it. Beyond this issue, all the rest of the panic is hyperbole and garbage. It's all about a loss of federal control of American's lives, something that was never meant to be and is unhealthy and unconstitutional. So yes, women in panic over Trump's election are silly, or worse. Per Alicia, maybe they shouldn't have the right to vote. Bad to say because, as Alicia notes, Leftists have no sense of humor.

NBC’s Kristen Welker asked President-elect Donald Trump on Sunday if he still planned to end birthright citizenship. Trump affirmed his plans. But the way Welker deliberately misrepresented the amendment reveals not only a glaring need for clarification from Congress or the Supreme Court about whether children born to illegal aliens are citizens but the dangers of a press who are willing to craft law by word of mouth. “You promised to end birthright citizenship on day one,” Welker said. “Is that still your plan?”

Eager to preserve President-elect Donald Trump ’s hush money conviction even as he returns to office, prosecutors are suggesting various ways forward — including one based on how some courts handle criminal cases when defendants die. Trump’s spokesperson called the ideas “pathetic.” In court papers made public on Tuesday, the Manhattan district attorney’s office proposed an array of options for keeping the historic conviction on the books. The proposals include freezing the case until Trump is out of office, or agreeing that any future sentence wouldn’t include jail time. Another idea:

It's easy to look at the rapid fall of Syria's odious Assad regime and conclude that its dynastic ruler, Bashar al-Assad — flying off to safety in Moscow while Turkish rebels stormed his palace and freed his political prisoners — was the big loser. It would be easy, and it would be wrong. Before we get to the big losers, the big winner (as I wrote last week) could prove to be Turkey's Recep Erdoğan. The HTS rebels who stormed Damascus on Saturday are designated as a terrorist group by Ankara, but Erdoğan has also given them unofficial support.

Illegal immigration, it’s clear, was one of the key factors in Donald Trump’s sweeping win over Vice President Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential election. Americans expect action from the White House, including using the military to deport those who are here illegally, according to the latest I&I/TIPP Poll data. Some 1,411 adult voters were asked the following question: “How important is it for Trump to quickly find and deport illegal immigrants with criminal records?” Possible responses included “very important,” “somewhat important,” “not very important,” “not at all important,” and “not sure. The national online poll, taken from Nov. 27-29, has a margin of error of +/-2.6 percentage points.

As Jo Nova writes, “This is so big, it may change the sacred ‘climate sensitivity’ of the whole Earth”. Isoprene is what’s known as a volatile organic compound, or a VOC, and “has a recognized role in protecting plants against many abiotic stresses” like “heat stress…drought…[and] oxidative stress” with trees being the greatest emitters. (When the chemical isoprene interacts with other compounds in the atmosphere, the products are a number of secondary organic aerosols.)
