President-elect Donald Trump has nominated Hillsborough County, Florida, Sheriff Chad Chronister to lead the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), he announced Saturday.
Chronister, who has served with the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office for more than 32 years, received “countless commendations and awards for keeping his community SAFE,” Trump said in a Truth Social post. A proud graduate of the FBI National Academy’s 260th Session, Chad is Co-Chairman of the Regional Domestic Security Task Force for Region IV Tampa Bay, Council Member of the Florida Attorney General’s Statewide Council on Human Trafficking, Chairman of the Criminal Justice Sub-Committee,

President Trump’s DOGE will be trying to reduce the federal government’s huge budget deficit, but there is yet another big budget deficit in Washington.
In a November 22 tweet, Heritage Foundation economist E.J. Antoni highlighted the fact that the Federal Reserve now has debt exceeding $210 billion. To illustrate his point, he included a graph, taken from the same Fed website as the one below, which showed that, before Powell, the Fed had no debts, but under Powell, the Fed now owes the government more than $210 billion, and worsening:

As the un-American left lays the groundwork for undoing President Trump’s second-term policy goals, one of the areas in which Trump’s enemies expect to have an easy target is trade policy.
Since conservatives believe in free markets (leftists do not), conservatives have generally espoused the idea that taxes are bad. We go farther than that, in our rhetoric, in fact; we often say, “Taxation is theft.”
The left therefore declares, “A tariff is just a tax, and you believe that taxes are bad, so you must oppose it!”
Note that leftists don’t say that they themselves must oppose tariffs. During the four long and painful years of the Biden-Harris regime,

Offering to negotiate with Islamic terrorists is a statement of weakness. Jihadists only offer to negotiate out of fear, weakness or to entrap us, and they assume we do the same thing. Nothing would ever convince them that we genuinely want to live in peace with them, or that we prefer alternatives to violence. So any time we offer to negotiate, they see it as weakness or a trick.
If our diplomats ever understood this cultural reality, they would stop being baffled when the negotiations fall apart.

America is about to go to war over whether the government has the power to deport entire families of illegal aliens. That question involves “birthright citizenship”—that is, whether a child born in the U.S. to illegal alien parents is automatically a U.S. citizen and, thus, an “anchor baby?”
The answer, by any fair reading of the Constitution and history, is “No.”
Our nation must have complete control of our borders. No illegal alien should be able to circumvent the laws of our nation. English common law, the basis for U.S. law, did not allow such people, the children of “hostile occupiers,” to become citizens by virtue of birth.

We always knew Joe Biden would pardon his troubled son Hunter, no matter how many times he promised he wouldn’t.
So it is fitting that one of the final acts of this mendacious president before leaving office was to break yet another promise to the American people.
Thus on Sunday night, the president issued a statement from the White House declaring that he had just signed a “Full and Unconditional Pardon” for Robert Hunter Biden, 54.
The pardon Joe vowed he would never give comes just days before Hunter was due to be sentenced over a felony gun conviction in Delaware in June and California felony tax-

To understand the outcome of the next four years (and beyond) as we discuss on these pages, it is important to begin with the same baseline of information. One key element that is not going to be discussed anywhere else, is what you will read below.
Consider this a baseline to review, consider and carry as context for what is going to come later in the world of the USA and President Trump politics. ♦ Summarized it looks like this: In late summer 2023 not only myself, but several insightful analysts in the world of high finance,

Democrats are looking to the governors of blue states as both a line of defense against the incoming Trump administration and a promising bench for the party in 2028.
Governors are seen as leading the charge of Democratic resistance as the GOP gets ready to take control of Congress and the White House next year: California Gov. Gavin Newsom’s office promised to “Trump-proof” state laws, and Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker has pledged to be a “warrior” against controversial policies.

President-elect Trump warned nations to forego efforts to adopt a new currency on Saturday by threatening to impose a 100 percent tariff on countries that try to undervalue the U.S. dollar.
“We require a commitment from these Countries that they will neither create a new BRICS Currency, nor back any other Currency to replace the mighty U.S. Dollar or, they will face 100% Tariffs, and should expect to say goodbye to selling into the wonderful U.S. Economy,” Trump posted on Truth Social. “They can go find another ‘sucker!’ There is no chance that the BRICS will replace the U.S. Dollar in International Trade,

Multiple sources report that a military coup may be underway in Damascus. The Republican Guard is reportedly engaged in combat with a division of the Syrian Army. Ordinarily, the Republican Guard is the regime protection force, but the situation is so confused in Syria that it is hard to tell. Speculation has identified the coup leader as a member of Assad's inner circle. Take that for what it's worth.
Syrian state television has just gone off the air. This is just another in a series of signs that the Bashar al-Assad regime is in its last days.

As we reported, President-elect Donald Trump has now nominated Kash Patel for the spot of FBI Director.
Patel is a big favorite of Trump supporters and it's also going to be hard to argue that he isn't qualified. He's an attorney who has handled many trials, and served as Chief of Staff at the Department of Defense, Deputy Director of National Intelligence, and Senior Director for Counterterrorism at the National Security Council. How do you know it's a good pick? All the right people are upset. They know that Patel is not just going to be a status quo, ordinary Republican, and that he's going to clean things up.

Actor George Clooney was a key participant in the coup to push Joe Biden out of the 2024 election.
Radar Online reports that Clooney is now said to have expressed outrage at “being manipulated by former President Barack Obama into lobbying for Kamala Harris.”
Following Biden’s disastrous June debate performance, Clooney kicked off the calls to put old Joe out to pasture with a column for the New York Times demanding that he step aside.
He wrote for The Times, “We are not going to win in November with this president.”
