EXCLUSIVE: Nearly a dozen of President-elect Donald Trump’s Cabinet nominees and other appointees tapped for the incoming administration were targeted Tuesday night with "violent, unAmerican threats to their lives and those who live with them," prompting a "swift" law enforcement response, Fox News Digital has learned. The "attacks ranged from bomb threats to ‘swatting," according to Trump-Vance transition spokeswoman and incoming White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt. Sources told Fox News Digital that John Racliffe, the nominee to be CIA director, Pete Hegseth, the nominee for secretary of defense, and Rep. Elise Stefanik, the nominee for UN ambassador, were among those targeted.

Bill Wells, the mayor of El Cajon, California, claimed in a Monday post on X that the State of California “is threatening to take pensions and charge police officers with felonies if they comply with federal deportation laws. [Snip] Wells makes it clear that El Cajon, a city of approximately 100,000 people located 17 miles east of San Diego, is not a sanctuary city and that his police officers “are being put in an impossible position.” [Snip] If they comply with federal immigration authorities, they risk felony charges and losing their hard-earned pensions. [Snip] No officer should have to choose between doing their duty and jeopardizing their future.

Legal Insurrection readers will recall that in my post on the United Nations climate conference in Azerbaijan this week, its president boldly declared that oil and gas were a ‘gift from God’. The eco-activists attending the event were enraged. [Snip] The Czech division of the International Climate Intelligence Group (Clintel) organized a two-day climate conference in Prague on November 12-13, 2024, where climate scientists declared that the “climate emergency” is over. The conference concluded with a communiqué drafted by the participating scientists and researchers that targeted the climate hysteria promoted by the United Nations body, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC).

A judge has dropped the charges against President-elect Donald Trump in the D.C. case against him, following a request that Special Counsel Jack Smith made on Monday. The decision concerns the investigation into the Jan. 6 U.S. Capitol breach. [Snip] "The Government has moved to dismiss the Superseding Indictment without prejudice," U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan wrote in a decision. "Defendant does not oppose the Motion…and the court will grant it." [Snip] Over $100 Million Dollars of Taxpayer Dollars has been wasted in the Democrat Party’s fight against their Political Opponent, ME," Trump posted. President-elect Trump has rounded out his picks for the top 15 positions within his Cabinet, handpicking an array of establishment and unconventional officials for top posts in just three weeks. Trump has moved at a rapid pace to shape his upcoming administration, which stands in contrast to his first run at the presidency in 2016. The president-elect's picks have diverse ideologies united under Trump's Make America Great Again (MAGA) movement.

There has been a lot of commentary about the abusiveness and unlawfulness of the International Criminal Court issuing arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant. [Snip] But the ICC is more than a corrupted institution, it’s a dangerous institution. Not only were its claims substantively contrived, it reached way beyond its jurisdiction, as Israel (like the U.S., China, Russia, India, and others) is not a member. [Snip] If they can issue an arrest warrant for Bibi Netanyahu, they can issue an arrest warrant for an American president.

The Biden administration told Congress it plans to cancel $4.65 billion in debt owed by Ukraine, approximately half of an economic loan offered earlier this year. [Snip] In April, Congress passed a supplemental funding package that earmarked $60 billion worth of aid for Ukraine, including $9 billion structured as a loan, with a provision that allowed the administration to forgive it, according to Miller. [Snip] Biden has also vowed to commit the remaining $7 billion from the supplemental package to Ukraine before Biden leaves office. On Tuesday, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin announced $275 million for Ukraine that would include more drones, artillery ammunition and mortars.

Ukrainians have lit 1,000 candles to mark each day since Russia launched its full-scale invasion nearly three years ago. Poignant photos show soldiers laying down the flames in front of the statue of the Motherland, one of the main symbols of Kyiv on the 1000th day of the war. [Snip] It comes as the Kremlin marked 1000 days since the invasion by lowering the threshold at which Russian forces could use nuclear weapons. The new doctrine, which replaces the previous iteration outlined in 2020, allows Moscow to deploy its weapons if Russia or Belarus is threatened by a non-nuclear nation supported by a nuclear power.

When there are kings, there are jesters. One glorious benefit of living through a time of political upheaval and uncertainty at the hands of a fickle ruler is watching the rich vein of satire surface from the bonfire of the king’s vanities. [Snip] With America only weeks away from the return of its felon president, the jester business here is about to enter a golden age. His term hasn’t even started and...his first term is echoing through headlines as he made Cabinet appointments and demanded their positions be accepted without confirmation or vetting or well any old nod to how our government works.
