The house-of-cards case against Daniel
Penny is falling apart

On Friday the defense rested in the Daniel Penny trial, leaving many observers to ask what Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg was thinking in pursuing this case. Over the course of the second-degree manslaughter trial, Bragg’s prosecutors tried to sell the narrative that the Marine vet overreacted and behaved “recklessly” when he restrained Jordan Neely on that F train back in May 2023. But a host of prosecution witnesses, Penny’s fellow passengers, knocked massive holes in that tale, as one after another veteran subway rider described how terror-stricken they were trapped on the train car with the angry, unstable, threatening Neely.

When those charged and commissioned with maintaining law and order won't/don't? What should the citizenry do? Show of hands......how many here would cower, and cave to the bad actor's demands? Or, would you rather a good Samaritan come to your rescue?

Unless Penny has a big wad of cash or a $$$ Samaritan, he's going down one way or another. This criminal case is one thing (which, of course, is a racial scam and will hopefully be thrown out). It'll be the wrongful death civil suit that follows that will ruin him for life. Recall, OJ (which I'm not comparing Penny to - just the legal repercussions) was found not guilty in criminal court, but got his backside handed to him in civil court.

It seems to me that The Process is the Punishment. The wasted time, expense, and emotional drain of going through a murder trial..... not to mention a possible civil lawsuit trial to follow (as was done to Zimmerman in the Travon Martin case) will cause any Good Samaritan to have second thoughts regarding stepping in to stop a Thug. This advances the confidence of the Thugs and Criminals, and their dominance over the law-abiding citizens. THAT is Bragg's objective.

Alvin Bragg seems to specialize in fabricating cases. Considering he has fabricated cases against white men,I suspect that he is racist to the core. The question should be why hadn’t anything been done to prevent to prevent Jorden Neely from threatening people. He had a rap sheet with several priors for doing the same thing. He should not have been free to threaten people in the first place.

Enraged Bronx Rep. Ritchie Torres slammed the administrations of Mayor Eric Adams and Gov. Kathy Hochul as “complicit” in the murders of three innocent people by serial stabber Ramon Rivera. Torres said Rivera should never have been on the streets, but authorities failed and let him fall through the cracks. Those directly responsible should be fired, he demanded. “I am writing to express alarm at the complicity of the State and the City in the murder of three New Yorkers, who were savagely stabbed to death in a homicidal rampage that took hold in broad daylight,”

For the past three decades, leaders of the Palestinian Authority (PA) and Hamas have systematically targeted political activists, journalists, social media users, students, professors and human rights activists as part of an ongoing campaign to silence critics and deter others from speaking out against the lack of democracy and freedom of speech. Torture included beatings, solitary confinement, feet-whipping, threats and taunts, and forcing detainees into various painful positions for extended periods. [Human Rights Watch] commented that "the habitual, deliberate, widely known use of torture, using similar tactics over years with no action taken by senior officials in either authority to stop these abuses, make these practices systematic."

You’d be hard-pressed to find a high-profile public figure worth a hoot who wasn’t accused, credibly or not, of some form of sexual impropriety during the #MeToo Maoist mini-Cultural Revolution that took the nation by storm a few years ago — sparing, curiously, some of the nation’s most prolific sexual abusers who happen, coincidentally, to have a (D) next to their name. At any rate, liberal media is consternated at the setback in “progress,” a euphemism by which they mean the political and social climate they manufactured wherein accusations, no matter how preposterous, are taken at face value because “believe all women.” Via The New York Times (emphasis added):

Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a law granting debt forgiveness to new army recruits who enlist to fight in Ukraine. The measure, whose final version appeared on a government website Saturday, underscores Russia’s needs for military personnel in the nearly 3-year war, even as it fired last week a new intermediate-range ballistic missile. According to Russian state news agency Interfax, the new legislation allows those signing up for a one-year contract to write off bad debts of up to 10 million rubles ($96,000). The law applies to debts for which a court order for collection was issued and enforcement proceedings had commenced before Dec. 1, 2024.

They’ve had enough. A movement in a myriad of rural counties across deep blue states such as Illinois and California to split off and form new states appears to be gaining some steam in the wake of the Nov. 5 election. Conservative residents of the rural regions are taking note of their peers fleeing to lower-taxed and less-regulated red states but they are ready to stay put — pining for a divorce with the urban sectors of their state. A group dubbed the New Illinois State has drafted a new constitution and championed plans to “Leave Illinois Without Moving.”

After Hamas raped, tortured, burned, kidnapped, and murdered innocent Israelis on October 7, the worst genocidal act against Jews since the Holocaust, it is astonishing to see how so much of the world has turned to blame the victims and reignite the historic scourge of anti-Semitism. Germany is the largest economy in the E.U. However, due to a confluence of horrible events, most of them self-created as an outcome of ridiculous energy production decisions, the German industrial economy has been contracting since 2022. Into this downward spiral of negative economic events within Germany, now comes the problem of President Trump eager to eliminate the Marshal Plan of one-way tariffs and start dealing with the trade inequities. The German industrial manufacturing companies who make up the majority of the economic output are concerned, very concerned. It's something of an understatement to say that Democrats woke up the morning of November 6th to find their world taking a very different shape. Not only did the resurgent Donald Trump and his bright, young understudy JD Vance crush the Harris/Walz ticket in an overwhelming electoral victory, but they also crushed it in the total vote count and crashed through the Rust Belt "Blue Wall" like the Kool-Aid Man. Not only that, but the GOP will go into the next Congress with control of the House of Representatives and the Senate.

Trump’s electoral victory has advanced the demise of MSNBC and CNN for good reason. The fall of NBC, ABC, and CBS should follow. Each of these so-called news outlets has betrayed their viewers for as long as they have been on the air. They consistently misled their viewers day after day to the point that Trump’s victory was a major shock to their systems. Those blinkered viewers sadly believed what those networks told them -- that Trump could not possibly win, that Harris would win in a landslide. They misled their viewers so egregiously that those who only watched those outlets were understandably shocked by Trump’s win.
