‘Shell-shocked’ Democrats struggle

Original Article

As they continue to reel from President-elect Donald Trump‘s victory over Vice President Kamala Harris, dejected Democrats have not mustered up the same resistance to Trump’s second term as eight years ago. Trump secured 312 Electoral College votes in his comeback win to the White House, besting his 306 votes in 2016, when he stunned the nation in an upset victory over former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. Trump also won the popular vote, swept all seven battleground states, and made inroads among minority voters, puncturing the coalition of voters Democrats have long relied on to win elections.

Resistance? Hey losers, MAGA and MAHA ARE the resistance. Woke ideology, climate insanity, economic irresponsibility, open borders, lawfare and political oppression, and the utter corruption of our government are the issues on which we won, overwhelmingly. So yeah, double down on your losing issues, put on your pussy hats, wave your pride flags and march with your fists raised high and screech at the top of your lungs. Resistance baby! Let's see how that works out for you. I'll be the guy laughing at you.

“What are the issues that we’re not addressing that they think that Trump will take care of?" You see, the dems don't even understand what issues the American people are concerned with. In fact, since Biden had made such a mess of things, they didn't want to talk about issues at all. The just wanted to be "joyful". And note, the dems have NO interest in addressing the issues we think are important. How do we know? Because they haven't for decades. All they will do is figure out what they have to bamboozle us about and do a better job than they did. Their thinking is, "Well, we don't know why Americans are concerned about 'this' and we as dems don't care about it, however, since Americans seem to be concerned about 'it' we have to speak as if we do understand and care about 'it'. After we are elected, we can forget about 'it'." The problem for dems is, they got away with their actions because their propaganda media covered for them. The propaganda media is dying. For the midterms and after, there will be people asking hard questions of dems who don't have meaningful answers. Further, the Deep State is about to go down in flames as well and that has been another source of support for dems. They could always find a Deep Stater to agree with them. Such supporters are about to go the way of the Dodo bird. What we see now is a fragmented dem party and media and a terrified Deep State who are trying to use old methods to get what they want. It isn't working and won't. Rebuilding would require a visionary and they seem to be lacking in those as well. The current nature of their party doesn't encourage or reward visionaries. It's not about ideas for the dems, it's about who you know and how you, personally, can benefit from the situation. Biden was a perfect model of the old dem party. BO was as well, he just had different goals and was slicker than most. Can dems, as they currently are, navigate in the new structure Trump is building and the American People are supporting? No. The game is completely changing and Trump is the master. Dems are going to have to earn the support of the American People with no one else to support them. Right now, they have no idea how to do that, and many in leadership don't even understand the necessity that they should do this. They even lack the skills to go about it.

Democrats are tone deaf and will never understand why they lost. In their minds, there is no justifiable reason why they should have lost. Instead of overthinking things, Democrats should just wait for Republicans to do what they always do, self destruct and do their usual stupid things. Democrats can then go back to business as usual as if they never lost.

President-elect Trump’s favorability climbed by 6 points after he was elected president earlier this month, a poll released Tuesday found. The president-elect’s favorability rating hit 54 percent postelection, which is up from 48 percent preelection, according to an Emerson College poll. Trump is viewed most favorably by men, at 61 percent, while 48 percent of women view him favorably. Among white voters, 59 percent view him favorably, compared to 53 percent of Hispanic voters and only 28 percent of Black voters, the poll found. Fifty-five percent of voters under 30 expressed a favorable view of Trump, according to the poll.

Nate Cohn has a long newsletter today looking over the results of 2024 and putting it in context over the past 15 years or so of American politics. The bottom line is that Democrats appear to be in real trouble. Not so long ago it was taken as a given that changing demographics, fewer white people and more Hispanic and Asian people, would create a permanent majority for the Democrats. But what we've seen over the past 3 elections is that Donald Trump has broken up that consensus a little at a time to the point where the old consensus

FIRST ON FOX: Walmart is making a slate of changes to its diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) policies, becoming the latest in a growing list of major corporations to halt the so-called "woke" initiatives. Anti-woke activist and filmmaker Robby Starbuck, who has been leading a campaign exposing major corporations' woke policies, said on X on Monday that he warned Walmart executives last week that he would be doing a story on "wokeness" at the retail giant. "Instead," Starbuck shared, "we had productive conversations to find solutions." Starbuck outlined the changes Walmart agreed to make, including working to remove sexual and transgender products inappropriately marketed toward children and reviewing grants to Pride events

A study by the Network Contagion Research Institute (NCRI) and Rutgers University Social Perception Lab found that exposure to DEI materials made people more likely to perceive prejudice where none existed. Simply put, they appear to do more harm than good by increasing hostility between groups. The studies reported herein assess a crucial question: Do ideas and rhetoric foundational to many DEI trainings foster pluralistic inclusiveness, or do they exacerbate intergroup and interpersonal conflicts? Do they increase empathy and understanding or increase hostility towards members of groups labeled as oppressors? The study looked at three different types of DEI training, on religion, race and caste.

In 2023 the state of Missouri passed a law banning gender-affirming care for minors. The law restricted the use of puberty blockers and gender-affirming surgeries. Transgender minors and some adults in Missouri will soon be banned from accessing puberty blockers, hormones and gender-affirming surgeries under a bill signed Wednesday by the state’s Republican governor. Beginning Aug. 28, Missouri health care providers won’t be able to prescribe those gender-affirming treatments for teens and children. Most adults will still have access to transgender health care under the law, but Medicaid won’t cover it. Gender-affirming surgeries for inmates and prisoners will be outlawed.

Most mortals are defined by one or two signature moments. Good or bad, win or lose, we get our 15 minutes of fame — and then we’re done. Take a bow; exit stage right. But Donald Trump has lived three or four lifetimes… in just the past decade! No hyperbole: When 2014 began, Trump was filming season seven of “The Apprentice,” ordering around Gilbert Gottfried, Ian Ziering, and one of the Jonas brothers. Now, I don’t want to be dismissive of those (ahem) celebrity superstars (Ziering is the star of the “Sharknado” franchise, for crying out loud), but Trump’s career trajectory has taken him to far loftier heights than reality TV.

There were huge “P-hat” demonstrations (riots), widespread outrage, and unhinged commentary from the corrupt media. Now, we still see that today, some eight years later, as Trump won yet again, but it’s not the same. There’s a feeling of defeat emanating from the left. Mostly, we see videos of mentally disturbed Democrats losing their stuff on social media and misty-eyed anchors at MSNBC and CNN still trying to tell us our Democracy is in peril (their ratings prove that few are listening anymore), but we haven’t seen any serious coordinated reaction.
