Yesterday, a madman on a stabbing spree mortally wounded three New Yorkers, who succumbed to their injuries. According to the New York Post and New York Daily News, the alleged perpetrator is a 51-year-old New York City shelter resident with a troubling criminal history that includes at least eight prior arrests—many for felonies—and at least one open case. Once again, New Yorkers find themselves asking the same dismal question suggested by Mayor Eric Adams, who spoke at a press conference after the attacks: What the hell was this guy doing on the street?

Stop putting unqualified DEI candidates into office. Pay attention to what they say on the campaign trail. Not their color or gender. Plus if you identify a problem person and take action (Daniel Penny) you just might end up on the end of a trial instead of the perpetrator. Stop voting for these idiots.

It isn't just the liberal DAs that are the problem. Advocates for the homeless and mentally ill will fight for these people's "right" to live on the streets and not be on their medications or be hospitalized if they don't want to be. Like abortion advocates, it is "their choice" to live as they choose. Sure, they might be stark raving lunatics but who are we to say how they choose to live according to the advocates. Sometimes the advocates, like many "rights" groups take things a little too far and ignore the health and safety of everyone in favor of the reedon to live delusional and psychopathic of the mentally ill.

Just curious... -Why is the name of the Perp being withheld? (If a conservative is arrested for defending himself, his name is front-page news.) -Why are the changes to the laws, which resulted in so much crime, referred to -even in this article- as 'reforms'? (A reform is a change to something bad, to make it better.) -Why are hard-left politicians referred to as 'progressive' ? (The only thing they make 'progress' on is the destruction of civil society. -Why do the people of New York City continue to elect politicians who are bent on destroying the city? (I visited New York City, once. The people there did not SEEM to be stupid.) -Why are so many large cities, home to so many highly educated people, such crime-ridden social disaster areas? (It seems like the fewer 'highly educated' people there are in an area, the less crime is committed, tolerated, and encouraged.)

Navy Adm. Samuel Paparo is head of the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command. In Washington, D.C., on Tuesday, he took part in a discussion at the liberal Brookings Institution. Paparo discussed at length the military strength of China — he called it “the most capable potential adversary in the world” — and the challenges facing the United States in countering China’s power in the region. Paparo also addressed the growing costs of U.S. support of Ukraine, in its war with Russia, and Israel, in its war with Hamas and related organizations. This is from a report in the Defense Department publication defense.gov:

We are witnessing a historic counterrevolution after Trump's victory, far different from his first election in 2016. The orthodox and the supposed scripted future are now suspect. And they are likely to be dethroned -- from the trivial to the existential. Critics claim Trump has no mandate to stage such a counterrevolution. They argue that he did not win 51 percent of the popular vote or achieve a Reaganesque landslide in the Electoral College. Yet all the initiatives he advanced and won on polled landslide public approval. Despite being the target of Democrat lawfare for years, a defiant Trump promised to end an open border, massive illegal immigration, rising crime, and soaring prices.

A mentally challenged President Joe Biden turned 82 years old this week, a much-diminished man from his heyday as a Democratic Party Senate stalwart in the last century. But one part of his character is undimmed by the passage of the years: His legendary spite and gleeful willingness to betray his political foes. Knowing this, is he now about to set off a third world war to settle an election score with newly re-elected President Donald Trump, who Biden still calls an “existential threat” to America? We’re talking of course of Biden’s inexplicably dangerous decision to encourage Ukraine to use long-range U.S. missiles against Russian territory, which has already prompted a response

President-Elect Donald Trump’s nomination of Pete Hegseth for secretary of defense has sparked predictable criticism, largely centered on claims of inexperience and unpreparedness — entirely from the experts who have been wrong about everything in the defense and foreign policy realm for the past 20 years. Yet a careful review of Hegseth’s background, paired with historical context and the challenges facing the Department of Defense, demonstrates that he is not only qualified but also uniquely positioned to lead in a time when bold, reform-minded leadership is desperately needed.

Matt Gaetz has withdrawn himself from consideration to President-Elect Donald Trump's nominee for attorney general, the former Florida congressman announced on Thursday afternoon. “ I had excellent meetings with Senators yesterday. I appreciate their thoughtful feedback - and the incredible support of so many. While the momentum was strong, it is clear that my confirmation was unfairly becoming a distraction to the critical work of the Trump/Vance Transition. There is no time to waste on a needlessly protracted Washington scuffle, thus I'll be withdrawing my name from consideration to serve as Attorney General. Donald Trump isn’t bringing Pete Hegseth, a decorated Infantry major and longtime Fox host, into the Pentagon to don the green eye shades and closely manage every element of the military behemoth like a reborn Robert McNamara. Trump hired Hegseth to channel George Patton and apply a jump boot to the buttocks of our deadweight military along with an injection of combat arms leadership and attitude.

In his victory speech in 2008 — nearly a generation ago — Obama told the masses in Chicago: “It's been a long time coming. But tonight, because of what we did on this day, in this election, at this defining moment, change has come to America.” Upon reflection, Obama’s changes were far from transformative. Oh, the deep state got deeper. And the insurance industry received subsidies that over the years likely top a trillion dollars by now. Obamacare also enabled him to enable the transgender fad that has poured millions into a few doctors and children’s hospitals while spaying and neutering thousands of innocent teens who were struggling with teenage hormonal imbalances.
